  Chrome Bookmarks Manager allows you to export the Favorites to an HTML file. If you type "chrome://bookmarks" in the address bar of Chrome and take a look under the "Organize" menu you will find the option.

  Once you have the HTML file, you can import it into Firefox on any system. Open the Firefox bookmarks library and look for the option 'Import Bookmarks HTML'.

  Thanks for the help. I had a bunch of bookmarks that I have collected over a period of time on my desk. I recently acquired a new laptop and wanted to copy on it. What I've done below worked perfectly.

  To copy bookmarks to another computer

  1. Install a flash player in computer #1
  2. In the menu bar, open the bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > export bookmarks as HTML.
  3. In the window that opens, scroll down to the flash player, then press on < record >
  4. Install flash player in computer #2.
  5. Repeat step 2 in the computer #2 except hit import bookmarks to HTML.
  6. Scroll down to the flash player and highlight [bookmarks. HTML] and click Open.
  7. Bookmarks must be imported at this point.

  All instructions and links I found were a little wordy, confusing and does a not address this issue directly.

  There is an extension which exports cookies to the old text file format. That could allow you to delete the ones your do not want by using a text editor. I think that you would need the extension again to reimport the file (modified) in Firefox.
