How to export flash .exe (projector) for a 32-bit windows operating system?

Hello

I exported a flash .exe (projector) in Flash CC. However, some users of my are sill on a 32-bit system. They get the common error message when you try to open a file of 64-bit on a 32-bit system. How can I solve this?

Managed to find a workaround.

Looking at the comments on this page; https://nipunasthana.WordPress.com/projectorforflashcc/ She explains that its possible to replace the flashplayer.exe to a version that will export 32-bit.

  • How can I get the installer for my application check the operating system type and then install the correct driver type?

I have a request that I wrote and have been use and distribute for awhile. The installer I created for this application is an additional installer to install a driver for the USB connection. The USB connection is actually a virtual COM Port. The problem is that the people who drafted modified driver setup the installation program itself. They used to have an installer that would check for 32-bit or 64-bit OS and then install the appropriate driver.

Now, they have two distinct installation programs: one for the other for 32-bit and 64-bit. They let the user know their OS and install the appropriate driver. I'd rather not have to rely on my users to do. From what I've seen the creater Installer provides that an executable to be run after the application installs.

Is it possible to have the installer of the application, check the type of OS and then run the correct executable file after installing my application? I think that I could write an Installer 'wrapper' that checks the type of operating system then executes the correct Installer. But I expect a better solution.

    Thank you

    So, I make it work!

The trick is to find a way to determine what type of OS you are using. The method I used was, indeed, read the environment variable. A buddy of mine sent me this link:

http://StackOverflow.com/questions/2401756/how-to-find-if-the-machine-is-32bit-or-64bit One of the phrases he bibliography the Processor_Architecture environment variable.

It seemed like a reasonable idea. So I started to research how read LV it environment variables turns out, you do it by reading a registry key. There is an example of LV on how to read a registry key. But I did not know where they are in the registry. So, I searched the Processor_Architecture registry. I found it in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Environment.

According to the article in the link, this value will already be x 86 for a 32 bit OS, or something with 64 inside. I just check the response for x 86 string. If it is, I just run the x 86 version of the driver Installer. Otherwise, I run the x 64 version.

It turned out to be as simple as that.

    I hope this helps someone.

  • I need to connect my HP 2200 printer for a 32-bit Windows 7 system with NO parallel port

I have an older HP Business Jet 2200 printer coming to leave, and I love using it.  My problem is the upgrade to windows 7 and a computer-ish with NO parallel port.  I have seen cables with female parallel to USB connectors, but the cable I have has a male connector to my 2200.  I have a Dell XPS 600 former with no parallel port I want to use as a backup computer.  My system is Windows 7 32 bit.  Can someone help me? should I think about a direct stream map server thingie or I can just a cable for this?  Thank you all!

I am VERY happy to share positive results for my project listed above.  I went on Ebay and raised his eyes to the parallel to USB cable port and found a 36 pin, which was what I needed.  I got it for next to nothing

36 pin parallel USB IEEE 1284 Printer Adapter Cable - I got it home, plugged into the side 36 pins, the business jet HP 2200, then plugged on the side of the USB to the Dell XPS, I worked with - and immediately the cable acknowledged.  It took me a few tries to get the software and I didn't know if it was to be on the LPT or USB, so I played with both and it was released as an HPA installation, which worked like a charm!  With the fragility of the printers of today; This printer is one of the sturdies and I can still get parts for it.  He has been a workhorse for me for six years now and of course, it has been around since the beginning of the 2000s.

    Hello people

Received the replacement drive - thank you.  However as before when I go to install the drive on my computer does not display the content of the program.  He treats the drive as if it were a blank disc and asks if the disk needs to be formatted.  The player does not display the name of Adobe Acrobat and if you click the drive the little swirly just keep swirling.  The name of the program does not appear and when you click on install nothing happens.  My computer is a Windows 10 operating system. I pass the proof of eligibility and received a serial number, but I never get the installation program.

I went to a friend and we tried the drive of his computer to Windows 7 and the name of the program showed when you click top started to install.  My friends computer is a Windows 7.

Is it possible that the revised version Adobe Acrobat Pro DC isn't 10 compatible windows?  Why am I having this problem?  Are you able to help me?  I can / t believe Windows 10 and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC would not compatible 6 months after upgrading Windows 10.

I appreciate your response and your help.

    Hi waso33,

Please use this link to download & install the program on your system:- https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html

And then using the serial number that you can activate the program.

Let me know if any problem will persist.

    Laura Griffin

I think what you mean is that for version public, 32-bit Windows can use less memory (maximum) than Windows 64 - bit...

    Here is the official list:
    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/Windows/desktop/aa366778 (v = vs. 85) .aspx

Here's the deal... You ask how to get Windows XP 64-bit, as you automatically have the rights to him if you have Windows XP 32-bit.  This is not the case with Windows XP.  In fact - I highly recommend that, if you are planning to get a 64-bit Windows operating system (level of consumption), it will eventually be Windows 7.  Windows XP 64-bit has been essentially Windows Server 2003 and only goes to to SP2 because of this.  Support for the pilot and the others never really went anywhere with Windows XP 64 - bit either.

How much memory are you trying to access to...? Up to 3.5 GB and large - 32-bit Windows is fine.  More regular (home use) consumers do not come even close with 3.5 GB of memory.

My advice is to stay away from Windows XP 64-bit, look for a refurbished or the end of the computer lease online (from TigerDirect.com for example) that comes with Windows 7 Home Premium and / 3 GB or memory for cheap.  Use LibreOffice to your word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation need (free) and Paint.NET , and InkScape is for any image-editing needs.  If you need other freebies - ask.  There great products antivirus, CD/DVD writing, etc. for free.

  • Hi, I have a problem in the installation, how to install acrobat 8.1 pro in 64-bit Windows 7 Enterprise is existing in Windows XP.  I just want to transfer the license Adobe pro 8 Windows 7 64 bit. What is the procedure?

Hi, I have a problem in the installation, how to install acrobat 8.1 pro in 64-bit Windows 7 Enterprise is existing in Windows XP.  I just want to transfer the license Adobe pro 8 Windows 7 64 bit. What is the procedure?

You need to install 8 AA on the new OS with your current S/N (the license allows 2 installs). After the installation, do all the updates if you expect any chance of 8 AA to run on the system. If the updates will be installed not in the menu help, then go to ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/ and install updates in the order. People seem to have been successful with 32 - bit systems and some have reported success with a 64 bit system. After installation, print something to the Adobe PDF printer to make sure it works. If this works, you should be in good shape as printing treat the bottleneck. There is a solution, but you shouldn't have it.

If all works well, then go back to the old machine and disable this installing and uninstalling. Don't forget that your configuration is not supported by Adobe. It seems with every new version of Windows, MS seeks to make the user to upgrade the other hardware and software for compatibility. There may be legitimate reasons for this action, but the game just seems to be Ms.
