How to finish an incomplete Firefox sync put up a page?

I'm finishing my sync set up the page. Keep in mind, I'm an amateur on a computer. I can do simple things like create files, use of bookmarks, basic stuff only. I'm not familiar with the term, and I can't find very easy things. Example: where is about.config? I think I know what it is but have no idea where to find it. My point is, if you have an answer to my question please provide many specific details.
When I started the synchronization implemented, I was invited for the e-mail and the password. I used an old computer back in the day, so I have started something with FF. I don't really know. I chose the password reset link.
After resetting my password it took me to the next page where a tab appeared in the top, right side of the window. I don't know what he says or what it is, because I only caught a glimpse of her. I must have done something wrong, because the tabs started loading at an alarming rate. [Not the first time.] My only option was to close and restart. Accordingly, I have not finished my sync to create pages. I can go to the log in page, log in, and a small window pops up with a button 'manage' in there. He has also three links, log, delete the account or change password. When I click on manage it takes me to the window options. . After much research I realized that I need a key and an email confirmation. Setting up sync FF section only pertains to devices not computers. I spent all today of research on each article that I could find, without any result. I thought to delete the account and starting over, but I don't know if FF will allow me to create a new account. I would really finish setting up my account and use the synchronization feature. Can anyone help? I could use some fresh ideas.

.

There is no 'key' for the last synchronization version. This is a feature that was last used in Firefox 28!

Just start over with Sync - there is no limit to how many accounts of synchronization that you create. Although, you will have a new email address the need to have several accounts in Sync.

Overall, I created 6 different sync accounts over the years; 3 are currently in use on different profiles. I use these accounts to compare and contrast how Sync meets the pref settings; as well as having a different set of bookmarks in every room - achievements - Firefox support.

  • How to connect to the firefox sync through sync key?

    Hello.
Prior to re - install Windows, I saved my Firefox Sync key.
After installing windows, I can't to access my firefox sync account for my favorites! It is said: unknown account, register!
But I have a KEY, I need my favorites back!

Help me, please, to the recovery of my favorites back!
    Thank you.

You must use a very old version of Firefox if this version has always used a separate key for synchronization.
29 Firefox and later no longer use a specific key synchronization, but derive the key to the synchronization of the password of the Firefox account that you use to sign in to this account.

You need a version of Firefox 28 to connect to an old account of synchronization that uses the key of the synchronization.

  • How to completely cancel the Firefox Sync funtion?

I don't have all of the other computers or mobile devices and don't have no intention to get a. So, how can I cancel completely the Firefox Sync function. I filled out by mistake and do not want the active function making it possible for someone else to easily synchronize information available to me.

Maybe I misunderstood your intention. You said that 'cancel the function of Firefox Sync completely' and so I understand you mean that you want to use Sync or store all the data on servers in synchronization. Is this correct?

If you stop using Sync and delete your account, your data will not be stored on the servers of synchronization, but you can of course keep the data on your local machine.

It's always a good idea to back up your data before you make a change that affects it. Please see Help for more information the article back up and restore the information contained in the profiles of Firefox .

Firefox 17.0.1 I can't find any option to delete a sync account. • How can I register on Firefox Sync so that when I uninstall Mozilla Firefox from this computer and reinstall my settings for someone else, won't there?

Or just delete my settings and data in the Firefox folder that contains my profile only user on this computer, leaving the browser installed, but does not display my settings?

I want to assure you that all my settings and data will be always saved in my account of Mozilla Firefox, so that I can install the browser on a different computer and be able to connect to my account to see all my bookmarks, etc..

Nevermind, I figured it. Thank you.

For users having the same problem, I just uninstalled Mozilla Firefox from this computer went to the start menu and searched %AppData%, clicked on the "Roaming" and deleted the Mozilla folder. If it won't let you do this, make sure all the things Mozilla are closed and uninstalled. You can always sign in your Mozilla account on another computer or if you reinstall the browser on the same computer.

  • How will I know what Firefox dislikes on my web page?

I built a new web site with a model that I thought was in effect. It seems that it uses all the standard stuff Firefox insists on having. Other browsers are apparently more lenient and open my site very well. Unfortunately, some people just use Firefox so I need to fix my web site. BUT I don't know what's the problem with him. Is there a way to identify the problem, like the fact he hates my CSS or is he choke on this dashboard or this comma? I want to update my pages but I do not know where to start. Thank you.

    Hey, see this thourougly:

How can I manage my Firefox Sync account?

  • Connect another computer to Firefox Sync

I have Firefox Sync on my laptop main (COMP1) and I added my iPhone (DEVICE1). This configuration works very well.

Now, I have a new laptop (COMP2) and plan to retire COMP1.

What is the best approach to recreate my connection to COMP2 and Device1?

I tried to use this method, but do not think it will work once I have wipe ordi1:
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/how-do-i-set-up-Firefox-sync?redirectlocale=en-us & redirectslug=share-Bookmarks-Tabs-and-more-Your-Other-Computers#w_get-the-code-on-another-computer

    Steps followed:
Connect another computer to Firefox Sync

Follow these steps on the second computer you are trying to add to Firefox Sync.

At the top of the Firefox window, click the Firefox button and select Set Up Sync. The Firefox Sync Setup window will open.
       Click I Have an Account.
Since you're not near the device with Sync already set up, click the I don't have the device with me link.
Sign in to your Sync account:
           Enter your account email address
           Enter your password
           Enter your Recovery Key
           Then click Next
You will see a Setup Complete screen. Click Finish to complete adding this device to your Sync account.

First of all, the various devices / computers don't connect to each other. It's a game Star connections; the synchronization server is the "hub" (lies in the middle) and each device / computer is a 'speak '.

What you have described is the way to go, but you forgot a step - Unlink (prefs sync) Comp 1 before you wipe the data from it! Or disconnect your network connection prior to erasure. Either of those who will avoid the changes that you make to ordi1 to be sent to the server, so no deletion of your synchronization had given from the server or other device when they connect on the synchronization server.

  • How will I know if I sync? Only, we use a device, and do not need synchronization capabilities.

I do not used my computer for any other device, nor what I want. I do not use Icloud and need not go beyond my computer for storage. If the bookmarks are stored in icloud, I'm not aware. I will never get a mobile device, I don't believe in them, so I don't see where the sync system is good for me.

If you are connected to Sync, then you see the email address in the '3-bar' Firefox menu button in the drop-down list instead of "Sign" in Sync

  • Cannot use my old firefox sync account after reinstalling

After reinstalling firefox I can't use my old Firefox Sync account. I am told that there is no such account here https://accounts.firefox.com and I created a new account with the same email as my old account.

After some research, I found this https://account.services.mozilla.com/ which I can connect with my old account.

Now, my problem is that I want to retrieve the information I had in my old sync and I can't find a way to do it.

In addition, because I lived the problems of severe performance using firefox, I deleted some files in my machine with Firefox (after uninstalling) including what appeared to be the location of the profile for firefox.

What is really important to me is: how to recover my old Firefox Sync account data or synchronize it with the new Mozilla account?

    Thank you
    V

Hello, firefox 29 and up is using a different synchronization system which is not compatible with the establishment of accounts in the old versions.

in this case, you'd probably have to use a workaround and download the version of firefox before 28, turn off the automatic update for the moment (in options > advanced > update), bind it to the old sync account (with user name, password & recovery key) and upgraded after you successfully restore your data in this way...

Install an older version of Firefox
Synchronize your bookmarks Firefox, history, passwords, etc.

  • Cannot set up Firefox sync on desktop - no recovery key and will not let me connect to get

I downloaded Firefox for my new android phone and wanted to sync my office with the mobile app. When I went it said I had an account already set in place, but since I don't remember the information about this I just ended up changing the password so I could identify and then deleted the entire account.

I have advanced and set up a new sync account, but he never gave me a recovery key. I don't think not that anything like that, but then the failure of the initial synchronization and I got an error message indicating the user name or password is incorrect.

This happened twice and every time I went back and was over by resetting the password or deleting the whole account. But whenever I have go through the steps of creating another account never gave me a recovery key.

I looked around and I tried following the steps to get a recovery key, but I don't have the ability to manage my account (perhaps because it was never entirely created and never went through an initial synchronization?) and I get an error message indicating the user name and password is incorrect, whenever I try to go through the steps to reset the recovery key. This is despite the fact that I can connect with the same credentials on the page of Firefox sync - for some reason any he just does not accept the normal browser sync tab.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and 13.0.1 Firefox version. No matter what help you can give me would be most appreciated as this has been driving me crazy for the last hours I'm trying to work through this.

    Hello

Please see this for more details about the recovery key. You can also try to start over again using these steps (three parts): https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-up-firefox-sync

If you are able to connect to the synchronization site which means the account still exists. In this case, you can try to delete the account, wait a few minutes and then try to configure the synchronization as described in the previous link.

  • Hi, I used Firefox sync as a backup, because I had to format my hard drive, now I want to return info and it seems that I can't. Is all the same to retrieve the Info

I have my username and password but never kept the recovery key original.
What I read, I tried to use her replace all data with the server, but without the original key is not let me, and if I request a new key, it says that it will erase the info on the server.
    Can anyone help?
    Thank you

I'm sorry, but if you do not have a backup of the sync key then all data stored on the server is lost and cannot be recovered.

It is always better to make a backup locally on a Flash DRIVE or CD/DVD-ROM because synchronization is not intended to be used in this way.

  • Firefox sync is adding space when bookmarking, how can I remove it?

I have firefox sync on your laptop and desktop, that which I use regularly. I often have favorite pages on one, and like the convenience of having them appear on the other for ease of access. The problem I have is that bookmarks as I do with a computer appear on the other with extra space whenever I have mark additional pages. I can't select the space, but I can put bookmarks between spaces. It's quite a pain, and I would like to know how to remove before they add up. Thank you in advance. Firefox v. 28.0, Windows 7.

You can remove separators in the library (bookmarks > show all bookmarks).

You can check for problems with the database places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.

Note that you may need to turn off (loosen) sync temporarily when you try bugs for the places.sqlite file prevent the synchronization to interfere.
