How to fix a system restore that went wrong? Service Pack 2 error?
Hello
I tried recently to solve a problem with my monitor and used the system restore to do. It has fixed the problem, until the next day.
Second day, I decided to try to use the restore of the system again, but this time I went back about a month to restore (just before I installed my video card drivers). I didn't know at the time where you're not supposed to do that (or so I've been told since). I don't have a problem with my monitor, but everything else is broken. I have no sound, no webcam and no USB port - to name a few. The problem is that Windows cannot upgrade to Service Pack 2. I tried using Windows Update and download SP2 from the Web site and manually install, nothing done. Someone has an idea, what happens? I'm not very computer savy, unfortunately. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I ran into a serious problem with the system restore. Over time, I have created a new restore once Point a month as a precaution. But last night, when I really need to use the system restore, it showed no. Restore points. I tried to create new ones and found that I could. But soon after, each of them had disappeared. I would be grateful for any help with this.
Win7 automatically creates a restore point when windows update runs and installs important updates. They are also created when you install the Ms.
Restore points are not likely to be withheld from xx months, the system will keep just based on the amount of disk space allowed for the restoration of restore points.
Computor > properties > System Protection, will show what players are protected & points of the space available for the restoration of the Btn set up.
I would'nt recommend using a driver update utility

How to do a system restore in Windows 7
Original title: turn on restoration of the system in windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit edition
Hello
Before posting my question that I searched for information on how to start the system restore of this forum. However, after reading several posts I'm not sure what to do. A post suggests accessing the system of Protection, by selecting a drive and then clicking on configure and selecting one of the options. In this case I'm not sure which one to choose: recovery or C. For the moment I turned on recovery (that was turned off) and chosen for the restoration of the points, but I feel that this can be a problem.
Another answer suggested turning on the shadow copy of Volume in the systems that I did too. Can you please give me step by step instructions on how to run properly on the system restore. Thank you.
Computor properties > System Protection tab to ensure that the Protection is enabled for the primary drives for example C and not driving labeled recovery or tools

How to do a system restore to vista settings factory
Microsoft Vista Edition home premium
6.0.6002 service pack 2 Build 6002It won't let me. I back up the files and restore files only. I clicked on restore advance, which is the configuration and status of backup and restore files, I see if. I don't have a disc. How should I do system restore the original configuration. Step by step guide.Usually, you get 2 options which is recommended to restore and choose a different restore point. I don't get any of those.I do not understand how my other computer (vista) I would like to do system restore to factory settings without using discs and what a custom?Hello
You do not use the Vista System Restore feature to put your computer to the factory settings.
System Restore updates only your computer settings to an earlier date.
How to do a restore to factory settings, ask your computer manufacturer.
You would either find a way to start the process under programs > then the manufacturer of the computer software > look it up it > or you will need to press some keys at startup.
It would be either F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.
Ask them how to do it because it's their recovery process.
Or ask them to send you a set of Vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system.
They should do this for a small fee.
See you soon.
p.s. Save your files as all data will be lost normally when you perform a restore to the factory settings

I have the laptop (Toshiba satellite) friend who's stuck in the installation of the service Pack 1. I have service pack 2 and am wondering, since I can't fix with this cd, can I install service Pack 2 on it without loss of data or files?
PC claims service pack1 cd with file asms
When you use service pack 2 cd can not load product catalogues, it is fatal error, the Setup logs files should contain more information.
Why not integrate Service Pack 2 and Service Pack 3 on her XP CD by following the instructions here (using another PC):
http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/1443.aspxCopy all data on an external hard drive, do a clean install using the XP CD updated (preferably on the BIOs)Then, install the drivers from the system, then Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows 7 Firewall Control (XP free Version) and Malwarebytes' AntiMalware (free or Pro) or whatever you prefer security. Then copy the files over. This will probably lead to the best performance. -
How to do a system restore on my acer aspire 731-4473 v3
Well, we have problems with wifi on this new laptop. Service center that works on computers could not even solve this problem... I tried to find the system restore function, but this is no where in the area of computer options. I would try it to see if that helps. Yes, I tried to manually turn the signal that there is a button to signal, but all that done is turn airplane mode on and off and just keeps showing the wi fi off. Help, please. I will try and resolve any issues you may have in the future, as I am a Hunter of ghosts and very savy with computers, but it is to beat the * outta my brain. One last thing, I am very persistent and stubborn as I do not give up and you want to learn things for me. The laptop is under warranty, but I do not want to wait 7 to 10 weeks for factory repair or replace. If this happens once I get it fixed or a new, even once, I'll have to repeat the whole process guarantee. I spent a lot of money on an Acer, I am stuck with him and learned to never buy a new one, but I would use my wifi like a laptop or pc is darn near useless without the internet these days. Thanks a lot for anyhelp, you can give. So is there an option to restore the system to do this, if yes, how do to it and if not is it possible to turn on that I'm missing?
ACERS recovery mode is called by pressing Alt + f10 when booting. It may take two or three times so he could load the screen boot options.
Device Manager indicates problems with the network card?

How to do a system restore on dates still go back to my computer gives me
I'm trying to restore my laptop to a date more far than its give me... How can I do this?
The amount of available system restore points are limited by what is captured by the computer. System Restore is a difficult process for Windows to do given that it is coming back on every single shot the system to his class one as far as possible. Sometimes due to changes to the system since those snap shots were created, it gets a little bit reliable, trying to go back too far.
If you are running Windows 7 and create regular back ups, System Restore are saved as part of your backups.
In addition, by using the Windows 7 system restore, are will give you the opportunity to show more system restore points.
