How to fix damaged BIOS on Satellite P300D?

Help!

I have a Toshiba Satellite P300D - 21K laptop model PSPD0E. I made the mistake of multi-tasking and tried flashing the BIOS without giving to concentrate fully on the task. I tried the Toshiba site and put all the right letters and numbers in the selector for the BIOS flash. However I think that now I flashed the wrong BIOS.

Everything worked fine until I flashed, but now all I get is the black screen and a bit of fan noise. I downloaded the crisis of Phoenix BIOS and disk loaded on my USB but I can't get the stick to respond I took knowledge of several keystrokes to use, but none of them does the trick I've tried Fn + f, g + Fn, Fn + b, Fn + esc, win + f, win + g, win + b, win + esc nothing works.

Can anyone help?

Problem is that the BIOS chip is damaged now and I'm afraid, you need professional help with this m.
Updating the BIOS is always tricky and can go in the wrong direction.

Maybe you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

    Hello

First of all you n t need to access the BIOS to boot from the CD.
You can simply press the F12 key immediately after the laptop has been powered.
It would show the available boot options.

Alternatively, you can press the C button that would automatically allow the CD/DVD drive as the boot source.

  • Damaged BIOS 1 - Satellite Pro 6000 block

    Hi all

I bought a laptop, a Satellite Pro 6000, but after a few weeks, he refused to start and gave me the bios message 1 damaged block.

I downloaded the update to bios on the toshiba site, but it does not work.
I have an external floppydisc. When I put the .exe to upgrade the bios on a floppy disk and turn on the laptop with the ~ button, I get the message "ready for the update of the bios, place the update disk and press any key when ready."
I can hear the disk is searched, but nothing happened.

How do I update the bios or is there something else wrong?
    Any help would be appreciated!

In my opinion with the BIOS update you can't do anything wrong.
If you BIOS, update by following the procedure described in the document FAQ Toshiba and the BIOS update can not be done properly, I'm afraid there is a problem with the BIOS chip and it may be defective.

I can't say for sure, but if the BIOS chip is damaged, then you have a big problem.

  • How to reset the BIOS on Satellite C660D-18W?

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660D-18W, and suddenly I got the message that I need to enter the password when I start the computer, I tried to remove the bios battery, no luck, I try to find out how I can reset the bios, still no luck, can anyone help me?

It is unclear to me that BIOS password can be set only and it is not easy to say what the problem is here.
The fact is that the BIOS password can be removed by authorized personnel only. As far as I know there are several ways to achieve this, but it cannot be discussed in the public forum.

Contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They can do for you.
