How to fix error: internet security refusing to open a program on cd, cd does not have to have internet to run, it's graphical files just can't read

I have a cd of graphics that I bought. It worked fine for a few years now, whenever I try to load a file from the cd, my computer tells me that's not valid cd.  Cannot open all of the files on the cd.  Then yesterday, on a whim, I tried again once all the files appeared on the cd and it started to load.  About halfway through, my computer froze and the cd stopped respoding. You need to restart the computer now to return to the unable to read the cd.  I get an error message says internet security does not allow it to access the files.  It's just the files. EPS are stick people, none of which has nothing to do with the internet.  Any suggestions?

Hello

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.

We're here to help and guide you in the right direction.

Help me with little information.

1 is this problem specific to this graphic CD?
2 are you able to use another CD/DVD on the computer?
3. What is the number of brand and model of the computer?

4. did you try to use the same CD on another computer and check?

Method 1

If you have any security software installed on your computer, disable them temporarily and check if you are able to download the file and check if it helps.
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2

Make sure that the following settings are correct in internet options.
a. close all Internet Explorer Windows that are currently open.
b. open Internet Explorer by clicking Start, and then click Internet Explorer.
c. click on tools and then click Internet Options.
d. click on the Security tab, click Internet and then click on the custom level button.
e. scroll down to the downloads category and download the Enable value.
f. click OK and then click Yes.
