How to fold a straight line in Photoshop?

I know that it is something beginner and have done it before, but I need to take a straight line and turn / add curve to create a road running. I know that I have a starting point and the end point that creates the line and then I can click on various points of the line so that it will not match the movement of the road. How do you do that?

Thank you!! Brian

Use the pen tool. Click on both ends that will give you a straight line. You can then add points if necessary, but every point along this line can be converted into a curve. The end handles can then be moved to bend the line.

  • How to make a straight line with the Quick Selection tool?

Hi, I'm experimenting with Photoshop CS6 and wanted to autofocus on poles and the alley only, everything is blurry (the sky, cars, trees and higher levels). The image shows a better idea of what I mean. I am currently using the Selection tool quick to fill between the poles, then using fuzzy area, but is at - it a faster and more efficient way to do this? In addition, the quick selection tool is not perfect and shows jagged - like of the spots along the edges of the poles. I thought maybe it's posible to right field line as a box between poles and blurred in this way?WP_20130806_12_45_41_Pro[1].jpg

You would like to use the Polygonal Lasso tool to create your form of selection. Once you use blur filters, this will create a cutting edge on the mask. Select the mask in the layers panel and then apply a Gaussian blur to the mask to smooth the edge. (or use refine edge)

  • How can I draw a straight line with a brush?

I know that the pencil tool can draw a straight line with anchor points. Is there a setting for the pencil tool which can mimic a brush of 30 points, low hardness (from left to right) at an angle of 80 degrees, or is it possible to make a straight line with the Brush tool using a mouse?photoshop help.jpeg

I know that this picture is a little blurry. what I want to do is to replace the 2 lines of white angles with point 30 brush effect 230 pixels wide. the project on the left side of the photo is a canvas 4 ' 2 ft. any ideas? Help, please.

Straight lines are simple: the brush, click where you want the starting line (you will paint one place) then hold down the SHIFT key and click where you want the line to end. Photoshop will draw a straight line between your departure and arrival.

In addition, for even more control, you can use the pen tool to create a path, then just STROKE the path with the brush.

  • How can I draw in straight lines in CS3?

I would use pencil so I can freely draw straight lines to make any kind of shape, just like the screen below. As we shift on Photoshop and using the pencil holding. Is there another way to do it?

This was made using a rectangle and anchor point, but it's a pain to do!

    Thank you

I think you want the pen tool. If you click on a point, then another while to now shift, it will draw straight lines to 90 or 45 degrees. You should be able to do what you want in this way by clicking on each corner quickly, while now shift.

To close your box, click again on the first anchor point. (He likely to change to a circle to indicate that you are going to close the path).

  • How to fold a line?

    Hello

All I want to do is bend a line.  I see that I can create a straight line, but y at - it an easy way to take advantage of the line to make it wavy or bandaged?  Looks like a simple enough feature to have, but I can't understand how do!  Thanks in advance.

One way is the shear filter.

Here, I drew a line using the line tool, create a new layer, then apply the filter.

Drag one of the handles 4 to create the curve.

Here, I waved a rectangular flag.

  • Acrobat DC light - how to highlight in a straight line...?

    Hi all -

Our office has recently installed Acrobat DC and we are more familiar with it, as we will...

For me, I get large scanned document files that I read, put highlight, redact, sometimes edit and comment.

I am able to use the tool matches pretty easily, but is there a way to highlight a straight line, rather than having the jolt of a brand of hand my gaze of non-professional document?  The highlighter gives me a circle for a slider and he do not embrace the line of text at all.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Frank

The highlighter tool only works on the text even, it is not a free-form tool. If it allows you to select no text or only moves when you move the mouse, then it is not nail tool you use, but something else.

  • How to get rid of the or at least easily fix random Position A to position B "archs"? (like in a straight line)

    Hey,.

I hope that I can describe it correctly my question: is there a way to tell after effects I want by default at each change in position to be a path of access/arch right (I'm looking for a lack of 'arch' - in fact I have just a straight line) instead of the default value in a seemingly random way arch so I find very tedious or impossible to fix even by manipulating vertice box "weapons" while now alt? in other words, I can program who, in the future, 'position A' and ' B ' must be traveled between in a straight line ONLY, never of erronious archs? I hope I described well enough without being too familiar with the technical terms

  • How to specify a length of straight line with the Brush tool

    Hello

I want to draw a few straight lines that have the same look as the paint brush tool. that is the ends of the lines have rounded ends.

The thing is, I want to be able to specify the length of these lines.

    (1) can I do this with the paint brush tool? So be specific with the length of the line, for example that I can specify in some fields or something like that?

    (2) otherwise, I use the online tool to look the same as a line of paint brush?

    David.

    Hi David.

    Option 2:

Select the line Segment tool (shortcut "------"). Click the origin. The dialog box should open. Specify the length. Apply a line with round cap. Adjust the width of the line and color to your liking.

    I hope this helps.

    Peace,

  • Paint straight lines in perspective (cc2015)

SHIFT key to lock the brush strokes in the vertical & horizontal direction is amazing and saves a lot of work.

But in perspective, it is a tedious task. You must use lines or ongoing vectors, rotate the canvas (or by hand made of straight lines, that doesn't look good at all, especially for architectural stuff.)

But I wonder if you can use the shift + brush STROKE thing in perspective to quickly restore lines in perspective.

I know it works the point filter leak inside, but there is no use to him: you can't exchange brushes, size... you can do anything because you're inside a filter window.

So I wonder if there is a way to make the same user interface, but inside photoshop.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hello

I don't know how well this technique will result in an image really complicated like the one you are working towards, but here is a method that I use sometimes to help alignment of perspective with composites. It uses a template that you create by using the custom shape tool that supports every 10 seconds. You create your work for painting above the layer, set your brush size and hardness, and click once to put a point on one of the lines of perspective. You then move the cursor of the brush somewhere along the line from point of view, hold down the SHIFT key and click once again and joined the points. It looks like this. The lines of the model are a bit difficult to see here, they are in red and white would have been a better choice, but they are easy to see in Photoshop itself. It's not my technique I got earlier from YouTube. It works with one or two point of view.

  • Shift-click with the spot removal tool does not remove the straight lines

Hello, I am after a tutorial on Lynda.com, which demonstrates the use of the spot removal tool to remove a task from a straight line.  Click on one of the ends of the line, hold the SHIFT key and click on the other end of the line.  Pouf!  Nothing happens.  The technique works very well for me in Photoshop.

I have a PC with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and Lightroom CC 2015.6.1, Camera Raw 9.6.

In fact he worked sporadically on the image of a practical, but hot in a reliable way and does not at all in all the other images that I try.    Advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks - Dave

    The technique is

Hold the SHIFT key FIRST, then click and drag horizontal or vertical.
