How to format my SSD 16 GB for ExpressCache?

Hey guys,.

I just did a clean install of Win8 on my E330. I deleted each partition on each disk in the installation of windows 8 to have a completely CLEAN system.

I tried to install ExpressCache then the little 16 GB SSD works as a cache. But the configuration that I got from the lower part of this site , but installation tells me, that ExpressCache could not determine an SSD to run it.

Service ExpressCache turns quite - funny, according to "Services." But how do you know if it works?
EDIT: to say if his work, run cmd.exe (just type in the windows search and press on enter) AS ADMINISTRATOR (!) and type "eccmd.exe - info» It will tell you whether a drive is not mounted (as in my case) or if its work.

'EASY' mode - right click on desktop, create a new text file, text file

«Start cmd.exe /k "eccmd.exe - info «»»»

Then save the files as "check EC.cmd" and run as admin. Basically, it saves you the work of opening CMD as administrator and typing things in itself. Very useful if you want to check on it, often, as I do.

So, Yes, back to my problem.

Exactly how should I format my SSD so that he gets recognized?

NTFS or FAT32? What should be the file cluster? Assign a letter to him or not? I use an incorrect version of the driver installation?

Information on it's rare...

Thank you very much in advance!

YOU HAVE GOT...

TO BE A JOKE...

ME...

GOD

GOOD BLOOD!

Here's the solution.

Start Setup in ADMINISTRATOR MODE.

Why I do not this in the first place?

When I install a new Windows the first thing I do is usually - turn OFF UAC if I don't get these annoying promots "do you really do this?"

So basically, this is what I was doing - doubleclicking just on installation and it does not give me no matter what promts because I disabled the UAC system.

So what you have now is EVEN IF YOU'RE ALREADY running in 'admin' mode, right click on the Setup... And run it in administrator mode.

I can't believe I've spent God * beep * 3 hours on it! 3 hours!

Of course, in order to prepare your SSD ExpressCache, you must remove all THE VOLUMES of your SSD. You do than that-

Click Start-> Type "diskmgmt.msc" and go get your SSD. If you do not know the size of your SSD open the DEVICE MANAGER and find readers.

In the case of DiskManagement - delete all volumes on your SSD.

Then run the installer as administrator - good to go.

Goddamit.

Finally I'm going to bed. 1 05:24 I did this.

    Hello world:

I just managed to download my only and probably only site.  I built it in DW CS5.5.  I have worked to learn the basics of HTML and CSS, but still have a huge learning curve.  I watched videos and you read all that in adobe help to understand how to format for mobile devices and tablets, but I'm missing a step somewhere.

Can someone please take a look and advise me?  What I have to do a reconstruction complete or can I use the same CSS/HTML I currently have?  Please direct me to the steps to fix, build, or something else

The site makes it very well on my iPhone, it looks like the desktop version (that I prefer by far to be forced to a single iPhone site).

  • How to format export Lr/carrier for Excel?

I am able to use the plugin Lr/carrier to create a file .txt with the information for the photos.  I am unable so far to create columns on an Excel worksheet for each item created using Lr/carrier "chips".  At the end of the day, I have the intention to create a spreadsheet with hundreds of photos and accompanying data EXIF and keywords.

I've attached a screenshot of the dialog box carrier construction of token for a test of the export.  I took the summary.txt file and pasted into an Excel worksheet.  The result is a line of repeat data sets. I expect Lr/carrier to create a CSV file or other format that can be used for creating a table (worksheet) which can be searched and sorted. I have sufficient skills to insert the delimiters as the semicolon, comma or other characters.  But so far, I am unable to create data columns (for the filename, the shutter speed, opening, etc.).  I can of course cut and paste each set of repeated data and align them in column headers, but it would be more effort than my goals would justify.

Any help will be appreciated.Companion and summary Files.jpg

In the "specify the text to add to each photo", you need to add a new line at the end of your chips (type enter or return).

  • How to format and re - install Windows 7 using recovery disks/Partitions?

    Hello..

    My product-

    HP DV4-5109tx

    Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a free space of 78 GBs that I'm not able to use... As when I try to use the "disk management" and right-click on the free space to "format partition" this option has been grayed out... !!

Please suggest if I can use this space without formatting? (I was suggested for formatting)

In addition, due to some other issues too I want to format my Windows (and reinstall) IE drive C so that the free space problem can be solved... Also I don't want no data in my other drives to be formatted...

I have the recovery partition and the recovery disks sent by HP...

Please help me how I can use them to solve my goal...

    Thank you

It's simple, as I suggested in my previous post.

Once you have a drive like the one on the image management window simply click New Simple Volume. Create a new partition called "New Volume". Make a right click on it and the option to format it will appear.  The strips on the 75,38 GB of free space in your image indicates that the selected action will take place on this point in the disk management window. You can change the name for the new volume in Windows Explorer.

  • How to format the HDD on my Satellite C855 1GQ

    I have a Toshiba Satellite C855 1GQ.
How to format my HARD drive for your help thanks.

    Hello

I don't know what you want to do exactly. HARD disk can be formatted before installing original recovery image that you got with your machine but also if you want to install the version of the OS.

If you created the recovery disc you can format the HARD drive by using one of the available options (erase the hard drive) - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm
In the case you want to use the installation of Microsoft at the beginning of the installation disc disc HARD current will be shown. You have the option to delete existing partitions, create new partitions and install the Windows operating system.

Please let us know what you want to do exactly.

    Hello

After a lot of work, I finally could restore my OS using Windows backup disks that I created a few years back. (The OS has been corrupted when the power has been accidentally deleted from the system and the battery was dead)

    Hey @llebrez,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! This is a great place to find solutions and help our community!

I understand that you have some information about using the SSD in your HP Pavilion dm4 Beats Edition Entertainment Notebook. I'd be happy to help you with that.

The SSD in your laptop is used for a technology called Intel Smart Response. Intel Smart Response uses the SSD as a type of Cache smart to help load the items faster. The reason why that is not used currently is because the restoration of the system is not designed to use the SSD for intelligent caching and is not able to establish that on its own.

If you want to configure Intelligent caching on your laptop, you can follow this guide provided by overclock.net: how: implement the Intel Smart Response Technology (SSD caching)

I hope this helps. If you have more questions that I'm able to answer for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Please hold me.

  • How to format the drive "C"?

How to format my 'C' drive which is clear of all my files and programs? I want to sell my computer but don't want anything of mine on the disc.

    Hello

You format the drive as part of the resettlement process.

Do a clean reinstall of the operating system of your computer to the factory settings; State new, as it was purchased.

But remember that nothing is definitively deleted; only the 'flag' to where the files are located is removed.

It is a good program to use to wipe the hard drive of most of the attempts to access your information 'deleted '.

    http://www.DBAN.org/

    Then install the own.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery on the drive Partition hard reinstall Windows how much you bought your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

  • How to format my laptop Hp DV6

    Hello

Can you please tell me how to format my laptop Hp Pavilion Dv6 I have Windows 7 on it. I also see a partition recovery on my computer option.

My system has a root virus inside. Whenever I Boot scan my computer I see a lot of viruses. I tried to remove it too anti-malware and spyware. But I can't get rid of it. Using spyware last week, I lost all the files in my system. Then I had to use recovery software to recover all my data. My friend suggested me to format my computer. Will it be useful?

    Please guide me...

Formatting the hard drive of your laptop is not a good idea. Ask your friend if he intends giving you a real legal DVD of installation of the operating system on your laptop.

Please identify your laptop / pc with more than the number of series. Look at the basic/back/side of the pc/laptop to the sticker with barcode. Post numbered items 1 and 2 on the next image.

Display the version of the operating system installed (and either 32 or 64-bit)

Are you able to still use the internet?

What are you using to scan your laptop computer for viruses, etc.?

    Best regards

    Long answer... good luck...

The following decoder could be your problem but it's not freeware.
