How to get a DVD player to play jpg files (pictures) engraved on DVD

I have 2800 weird pictures (JPGs) coming to a little more than 4 GB. I have them numbered Filename (10001) and following, such as recommended on another thread on this site. Using of Windows on a new DVD burner laptop computer that is running Windows 7 and ensure that I selected the format of the ISO image before burning, I burned the files on DVD discs.

I tried DVD + R and DVD-R, but my DVD player does not recognize them as DATA disks. When I go to the photo Navigation, it loads sometimes 3 pictures sometimes more, and then freezes.

My DVD player is a Sony DVP-NS39 bought in May 2009 and fortunately displays photos (jpg) files burned toCD s, but also to play happily on the movies.

Is a nice person out there able to tell me where I'm wrong?

Thank you very much

I downloaded the software (which looks just like the other burning programs, I tried - but I thank you for this kind) but always with the same result. Either way, it cannot be the number of files ' cos I tried with just a couple of hundreds and got the same result!

I'll assume my Player DVD has a gremlin and try the disc on the drive of a friend in the next few days. Will let you know the results...

Well... I thought it was worth the try. You would certainly
Think that a JPEG compatible DVD player would recognize JPEG
photos.

Perhaps the DVD player only works for individual photos
When it is burned on a CD. Check your manual for the it
may provide.

Maybe a DVD must be a movie file. Maybe you could
create a video slide show with DVD Maker. (I could be
wrong, but I think someone told me that it was limited to 999
photos)

The DVD works in your computer's DVD drive?

Let us know if find you a solution.

If you have a music video, your friends sing you could install a flash drive on the Web site. If it is just an audio file, you must download the file to a file free host then post a link to the file on the Web site.  If Windows Media Player comes into play depends on what media player the person clicking the link used as their default media player. Windows Media Player will play no role in the file on your website. The link below contains a list of free audio files, hosting sites. There are many others that you can find with a simple search on Google.

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file. (((PLEASE HELP)))

I understand that this has been a matter of repetition and I made the suggestions listed and nothing works. This just started happening, although downloading songs, and once they are finished I'm not able to play them with Windows Media Player. The initial message indicates that the file has an extension that is not recognized by Windows Media Player.

I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop with Windows Vista Home. Any suggestions? What should I chahnge how I download and save music?

    Hey Taylor09,

You may find that you are getting this message in Windows Media Player due to one of the following reasons.

    a. you try to play a file that is not supported by the player.

    b. you are trying to play a file that the player does not support, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the player.

    Step 1:

Confirm that you are trying to play a supported file type. The following article lists the types of files (formats) supported by Windows Media Player.

Information on the types of media files that supports Windows Media Player

Note that if you tried to play the file type is included in this table, the file might have been encoded with a codec that is not supported by Windows Media Player. If this is the case, Windows Media Player cannot play the file.

    Step 2:

Download the necessary codec to play the file.

May be that the video file format is not compatible with Windows Media Player.

    Options: -.

1] download and install VLC Player. It's free and supports file formats more than WMP.

2] download and install the codecs

Personally, I prefer VLC Player-if you have that then not need to download and install the codec of any third party.
