How to get rid of a pirate Web site!

I have a problem where whenever I open my web browser, this terrible site (http://websearch.soft-quick.info/) seems like my home page.  Not only that, but it was slowing down my computer a lot.  When I Googled, it is said of this malware, but I can't understand how to stop it.  I've tried everything.  In addition, Microsoft Safety Scanner doesn't detect, or CCleaner or Adaware.  Please help me get rid of this bug in Websearch.soft - quick.info terrible!

CCleaner will not do anything it removes temporary files not malware. Use something like malwarebytes

  • Firefox can get rid of animations on Web sites or at least stop their movement?

I mean on my Bank and energy company Web sites. This isn't the fault of Firefox! I was hoping that Firefox might have a clever for this problem solution (at the present time that I must use pieces of paper to cover a large part of my screen which leads to its own problems.)

Hello Kangalarue, the steps that you might want to take depending on what technologies sites use to display animations. Here are two tips for the most commonly used animations:

    • Adobe Flash movies: you can go to the menu firefox > addons > plugins and set the "always ask" - shockwave flash plugin and then no flash content will automatically be played. then, you can control this behavior through the small plugin icon that appears to the left of the address bar, once the content plugin is stuck on a page.
    • Animated GIFs: some animations could be simple image files that contain an animation and loop indefinitely. You can control their behavior for all pages like this: enter Subject: config in the address bar (and confirm the warning dialog box), search for the preference called "image.animation_mode". You can double-click this entry and change its value 'None' or 'once' (in this case as they loop indefinitely). http://KB.mozillazine.org/Animated_images

in case it does not help, you will need to provide the link to the pages in question so that we can give more specific advice. Thank you

    Use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware: http://www.adwaremedic.com/index.php

You can also remove the adware manually by following the steps provided by Apple: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203987

After that, make sure that your default search provider is set to the one you always use. To do this, open Safari - Preferences - research.

Go to the Safari menu (at the top right of your screen next to the Apple icon), choose 'Quit Safari'

Press the "Shift" key and while holding this button on your unique keyboard, click the icon of Safari on your Dock.

Open Safari - Preferences - Privacy - data to remove any Web site.

Also, I think it would be a good idea to install AdBlock.

It changes its name, but it's the same Malware program

Win 7 Antispyware 2012, 2012 Antivirus Vistaand XP Security 2012 are all names for the same fake anti-spyware. This family of thieves is promoted in two ways. The first is to use antivirus scanners online fake state that your computer is infected and then prompt you to download a file that will install the infection. The other method are pirated web sites that attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in programs that you run on your computer to install the infection without your knowledge or permission. No matter how it is installed, as soon as it runs on your computer it will install as a variety of names in different programs and graphical interfaces depending on the version of Windows that is running. Whatever the name, however, they all end the same program with just a different skin to this topic. This rogue is going to program different names, one of which I have listed below based on the version of Windows that is installed on:

  • How to get rid of a search not intentionally installed "tab" to update the new version of Java JRE?

Since Oracle surprisingly quickly announced an update of Java JRE (7.11 update), Jan 14, available todag I install naturally. Despite being very careful with all unwanted program providers are trying to impose on the innocent user, I always have a f * ck * thing-same to tab search ng in my line of tabs. I don't want or need, and it occupies valuable space. The evil rats who created this stinky sh * t were very careful hide all the simple ways of removing - it is not (as far as I can see) are everywhere in my lists of Add-ons or extensions. I tried to watch: config, but I am totally inexperianced with this and do not dare to change: in fact, I can't find anything usable.

Anyone who has a suggestion how to get rid of that junk qualified? My FF is the Swedish version, that's why I stuck with raw data in the troubleshooting information. If there is a possibility here to add a screenshot of the thing, I would have.

The tab looks like the image below? If so, did you not as a Java Update. Have you downloaded the update of Java on the Java site or elsewhere? It was expected that some less honest people would provide false updates to Java. If it looks like the image below, follow these steps:

    1. With all browsers closed, in Control Panel > programs and features (or add / remove programs), if you see "Default tab" delete (you have no default tab 1.4.3 in the list of add-ons/prefs you have submitted with your question)
    2. Launch Firefox and check that 'Default tab' is not in the Add-ons > Extensions; If it is click on 'Remove' and then restart Firefox.
    3. You may need to set your homepage in Firefox, if a search page leading to 'Search results' or "My search results" is displayed at the start of Firefox - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/How%20to%20set%20the%20home%20page
    4. You may need to remove the 'search results' or "My search results" in your list of installed search engines in the top search bar on the right (click on the image to the left of the search bar, then choose "Manage search engines") - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/search-bar-easily-choose-your-search-engine#w_removing-a-search-engine
    5. You may need to reset your default search engine used for looking for location/URL bar by resetting the preference keyword. URL - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/search-web-address-bar#w_changing-the-internet-keyword-service
    6. You may need to reset a preference if 'Search results' or "My search results" appears as a search engine every time you open a new tab (follow steps 1 to 4 in the image below to determine which opens when you click to open a new tab; see Subject: config use above)- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/new-tab-page-show-hide-and-customize-top-sites#w_how-do-i-turn-the-new-tab-page-off

  • How to get rid of malware on my macbook

How to get rid of malware on my macbook... I'm getting lots of pop-up windows on my macbook and an employee of deleted Mac software I paid for (don't remember the name of it) when I was at the Mac store in Adelaide a few months ago because she said, Mac is not viruses or malware. All that has been downloaded to my Mac is disrupting my work so you would appreciate the help as soon as POSSIBLE... Please! Free would be better that I don't want to pay 2 times.

Click here and follow the instructions, or if it is not a type of adware is covered by them on the computer, these. If you would rather not remove it manually, you can run rather MalwareBytes for Mac.

MalwareBytes is a removal tool and does not stop adware or other malware from entering the computer. For effective protection, do not download software from sources other than the Mac App Store or Developer Web sites.

You should do a destructive restore of your recovery partition, ensuring that you save your important things first.

This is how the recovery partition is available for the most popular brands

For Dell, press CTRL + F11 directly after switching on the device

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

You may need to try several times to get everything above to work. If after several attempts, you have no chance, or the machine indicates that there is no recovery partition, your only option is to contact the computer manufacturer and ask for the model recovery discs...

After the reset, you should get all the updates from Windows Update EXCEPT for hardware devices. Then, you install a good antivirus. ONLY AFTER you have done this, if you replace the stuff of backups or install anything else.

You should also have updated your Bank and had all the cards from existing bank replaced...

  • Hello I am downloading from my site and my characters are messy. I type an e (taken glyphs-window), but what appears is an and the copyright sign? can someone tell me how I get rid off this

Hello I am downloading from my site and my characters are messy. I type an e (taken glyphs-window), but what appears is an and the copyright sign? can someone tell me how I get rid off this?

I tried a lot of things, but nothing seems to make a difference.

In my view, they have already done for you...

The site seems OK now. Hooray !

But let's dig down to the serious things of this.

If the browser needs a statement of character. Probably ' UTF-8 ', but another or an older one would be as well, as long as it's cheap, and it respects the method of characterization of the Web page.

This statement can be provided by (1) the web server itself (its default value), (2) the htaccess file in your web root directory server, or (3) on each web page. Where there are several and contradictory statements perhaps, the older in the command above rules. But in the case where the Server and the htaccess do not provide a statement of character and your web page later on, it shouldn't be a problem.

Your provider said that they do not have a such context in their web server, and it wasn't a htaccess file in your root folder (Muse is not create it for you). Once again: do not worry, it should always be no problem, because all your web pages provides the declaration as well (thanks to Muse). We have checked that, no doubt.

That is where their claim is not accurate. BTW: many tips are on the Internet on the common practice in this area and they all advice that the htaccess is not the place more obvious to the declaration. The page is the best place to put it.

W3C (the 'boss' of http and html)

    some general information:

Choosing & applying a character encoding

    putting in a .htaccess file:

Definition of charset in .htaccess information

and finally, put on the page:

    Declaring character encodings in HTML

But what is even more strange: I checked the web server of your provider to access this service online, and it seems that their server is to provide a framework (and it is UTF-8, fortunately). It's the opposite of what they have been say...

Now I have the idea of some personal provider noticed this morning that their server wasn't working properly (maybe after a failure of server or another incident or failure), serving the pages with a wrong setting. Then maybe they quickly corrected, and not to let you know that, they tell you to put in place this htaccess file (which makes no difference, just as the declaration of your page also could not prevail in the setting of the server).

So now, you are done with all the three statements: a parameter, a htaccess in your Web site folder and that of your server page. As long as they all say and expect the same (UTF-8) you don't have to worry about this.

    Problem solved, three times!

PS: many accommodation providers (and I'm afraid that yours as well) tend to declaring that whatever they do is 'standard' and 'obvious'. While in many situations, it's always a little different and certainly not the standard, not to mention obvious...

  • Adware? And how to get rid of?

Since last week when I'm redirected to a game at random navigation site. First of all, I thought it was just something to do with Firefox (the browser I used), but then the same thing happened with other browsers too. I then installed Opera to judge if it would happen again and Yes, it happened. Then I tried to reinstall the whole OS, hoping that would solve the problem. There can be no. I always get redirected to a site "yu0123456". How to get rid of this? I installed AdGuard so it blocks me enter the site, but still not open tabs. After the reset of the operating system (I also erased the hard drive), I did not visit malicious sites. I just downloaded programs I had before that happens again (steam, Spotify, discord). I tried to scan my Mac with Malware Antibytes, but he found nothing. If it's harmless, I could live with that, but it's very irritaring. If there is a chance he could phis my information, so I want that he removed as soon as possible. What can I do?

    Thanks in advance!

Adware is usually not malicious. Its purpose is to push ads into your face. Adware makers get a fraction of a payment of one hundred whenever an ad is shown. That's their motivation.

You say wipe you the drive, but if you restored a backup Time Machine or Migration Wizard to restore your applications and the user account, you managed that by copying the problem at the back.

MalwareBytes for Mac can't catch everything. The adware manufacturers are constantly changing which moved things and which appoints the files have. It's a job without end for manufacturers of MalwareBytes to catalogue these items, so they can be found and removed. But of course he is not hurt anything to use as it can remove a lot of problems for you, leaving only the new elements, unknown to locate and remove manually.

Depending on where you have steam, Spotify and discord, the installers may have been (and often are) responsible for the installation of adware and you want to install.

Download and run EtreCheck. Copy and paste the results here. It is written and maintained by long time forum member etresoft. Any personal information is automatically excluded from the output. The goal is to see what processes are running on your Mac. From there, they can usually determine what is wrong.
