How to get the date of Sunday of the week
HelloI have a column date 'start_date', I need to create a report for all the weeks from Sunday, for example:
I need to get the dates of the week in the form:
mm/dd/aa-23/01/11, 01/16/11, 09/01/11 and so on...
Help, please
Thank you...
Hello
To find the last Sunday before or equal to start_date:
SELECT TRUNC ( start_date + 1
, 'IW'
) - 1 AS week_start_date
...
You can also use an expression like that in a GROUP BY clause.
It's not you NLS parameters. Always ISO weeks start on Monday. Your week begins 1 day earlier, that is why the above expression is the + 1 and -1.
(According to the parameters of the NLS)
SELECT TRUNC ( start_date
, 'D'
) AS week_start_date
...
could do the same thing, but I still have rocommend with "IW"; a few extra touches is not big thing to pay for a guarantee that it will still work.)
I hope that answers your question.
If not, post a small example of data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements) and the results desired from these data.

How to get the week sequence?
Hi friends,
Greetings of the day!
I am greatly in dealing with the next thing.
I have two tables. a table with all the required information and another table called process_dtl, have the details of refreshment. These tables gets updated once a week. when its gets refreshed have will update the process_dtl table start date and refreshes the end date. There are also a few unique seq_no for each update. I will combine these 2 tables with seq_no process, because it is the unique key in the two tables. About these tables are more 2-year data. But what I want, I want only 6 months given. With 6 months data, based on the start_date I want to have the data week sequence. Means I want to know if it is given 1 week or 2 weeks, etc because the data get updated once a week. Is it possible to distinguish like this using start date. Please reply back if you understand the above.
I'm using oracle 11g.
Thank you
Published by: 981145 on May 8, 2013 04:56You can get the data from the last 6 months simply by using the WHERE clause to limit the process_start_dt or process_end_date, as mentioned by Chris above. Since the sequence of steps. is unique for each race, I assume that the data you get from dtap_rpt_site_dtl_hst for that sequence number. needs no other filter criteria, so it must be good there.
For the format of the week like you wanted, use the following in your select clause-
to_char(process_start_dt, 'Mon') ||' ' || to_char(process_start_dt, 'D') week_seq
Hope this has helped.

How to get the week of the year in American Standard
Hello
I know that it might be a repetitive question, but has not found a convincing solution to him in any of the previous threads. I'm looking for a function (user defined, if someone has already written it) go the week of the year, American Standard. i.e., The week should begin on Sunday and end on Saturday (and NOT from Monday to Sunday)
03/01/2010 - should be the beginning of the 1st week of 2010... 10/01/2010 will be the beginning of the second week and so on
04/01/2009 - should be the beginning of the 1st week of 2009... 11/01/2009 will be the beginning of the second week and so on.
Does anyone have a function that takes a date as input and returns back the week of the year in the above format? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank youYou can add a day to your date in order to manipulate the weeks;
with t as ( select to_date('02/01/2010','dd/mm/yyyy') dt from dual union all select to_date('03/01/2010','dd/mm/yyyy') from dual union all select to_date('09/01/2010','dd/mm/yyyy') from dual union all select to_date('10/01/2010','dd/mm/yyyy') from dual) select dt, to_char(dt, 'Day') dy, to_char(dt+1, 'iw') wk from t; DT DY WK ----------- --------- -- 02/01/2010 Saturday 53 03/01/2010 Sunday 01 09/01/2010 Saturday 01 10/01/2010 Sunday 02

Hello
I have to read 4 analog channels using DAQmx AI read in LabVIEW 2012. I am using screws DAQmx.
Acquisition rate is 4000 samples per second, and the number of samples per channel is 200.
I use only one task DAQmx to read the data. I get 4 data tables for 4 channels each table length is 200, every time, DAQmx Read happens.
But I want to get the seal of these 200 samples per channel. How to get the seal of these samples, made me know.

You have not indicated your code. If you choose to read the waveform data, the cluster includes t0 and dt. That's all the information you need.

How to get the logical tab in the main area of 4.1.2 Data Modeler?
I just installed Oracle Developer Data Modeler: Version 4.1.2.895.
I was following section 2.1 development of the logic model
http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E48219_01/doc.40/e48205/tut_data_modeling.htm#DMDUG36169
I used the example of library. I added the areas.
Then I tried to create the books.
The document says:
- In the main area (right) of the Data Modeler window, click the logical tab.
- Click the icon of the new entity.
But I don't see the logical TAB on the right side at all.
I see the Start Page. On the far right is the browser window. Basically, I see Messages - Log.
On the left side, I have the browser window.
Can someone tell me please how to get the logical TAB in the main area?
Thanks in advance.
Hello!
In the browser with the right button on the logic model and select view.
I hope this helps!

How to get the second Monday of each month in a given date range?
In Oracle forms, how to get the second Monday of each month in a given date range?
I tried below using the query WITH the Clause, but it seems that WITH Clause does not work in Oracle forms. So is there another way to do this in Oracle forms?
WITH month_range AS
(
SELECT TO_DATE ('Dec 2013', 'Mon YYYY') AS first_month
, TO_DATE ('Mar 2014', 'Mon YYYY') AS last_month
OF the double
)
SELECT NEXT_DAY (6 + ADD_MONTHS (first_month
, LEVEL - 1
)
, 'MONDAY '.
) AS second_monday
OF month_range
CONNECTION OF LEVEL < = 1 + MONTHS_BETWEEN (last_month, first_month)
;
Thanks in advance.
Good fishing, when the first day of the month is Thursday... So I changed the query accordingly... Try the below
SELECT CASE WHEN TO_CHAR (ADD_MONTHS (TRUNC(startdate,'MM'),(LEVEL-1)), 'DY') = 'game '.
THEN NEXT_DAY (ADD_MONTHS (TRUNC(startdate,'MM'),(LEVEL-1)), 'THU')
Of OTHER NEXT_DAY (ADD_MONTHS (TRUNC(startdate,'MM'),(LEVEL-1)), 'Game') + 7
END AS second_day
FROM (SELECT SYSDATE startdate,
SYSDATE + 300 enddate
THE DOUBLE)
CONNECT BY LEVEL<=>=>

Published by: 9999999 on 8 March 2013 04:30Use the IW format - it will make independent NLS solution. And all you need is truncated 7th day of each month using IW:
select sysdate current_date, trunc(trunc(sysdate,'mm') + 6,'iw') first_monday_the_month from dual / CURRENT_D FIRST_MON --------- --------- 08-MAR-13 04-MAR-13 SQL>
Here is the list of the first Monday of the month of this year:
with t as( select add_months(date '2013-1-1',level-1) dt from dual connect by level <= 12 ) select dt first_of_the_month, trunc(dt + 6,'iw') first_monday_the_month from t / FIRST_OF_ FIRST_MON --------- --------- 01-JAN-13 07-JAN-13 01-FEB-13 04-FEB-13 01-MAR-13 04-MAR-13 01-APR-13 01-APR-13 01-MAY-13 06-MAY-13 01-JUN-13 03-JUN-13 01-JUL-13 01-JUL-13 01-AUG-13 05-AUG-13 01-SEP-13 02-SEP-13 01-OCT-13 07-OCT-13 01-NOV-13 04-NOV-13 FIRST_OF_ FIRST_MON --------- --------- 01-DEC-13 02-DEC-13 12 rows selected. Date1 - date2 is the exact number of days is after date2 date1. (It is as accurate as possible, given that the DATEs do not have fractions of a second).
and one entire display i mean positive integer
Select round ((sysdate) - to_date (date_start)), date_start days of per_periods_of_serviceYou want to probably get the exact number of days first, then ROUND this number:
SELECT ROUND (SYSDATE - TO_DATE (date_start, ...)) AS days FROM per_periods_of_service;
Always pass arguments at least 2 to TO_DATE:
(1) the string to be converted, and
(2) a saying string how (1) is formattedThis gives negative also result
Right; If date1 is before date2 then date1 - date2 returns a negative number.
If you want to never get a negative value, use ABS (date2 - date1). If it returns 4, then you know that one of the DATEs was 4 days before the other, but you won't know who was earlier.I hope that answers your question.
If not, post a small example data (CREATE TABLE and only relevant columns, INSERT statements) and also publish outcomes from these data.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get these results from these data.
Always tell what version of Oracle you are using. -

Hi FrankYes, but I had more than 2 tables with item_characteristics, type_characteristics
If there are other tables involved, then CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements for them (for the relevant columns only). You must not post a lot of examples of data; usually just a couple of lines per table is enough to show the problem.
Also post the results desired from these data.What I try to do is, I'm comparing new_value in log_item_characteristics (whichever is most recent) with CHR_VALUE in the item_characteristics and the needs of different output values
I am trying to query is not giving desired out put
Point out some places where the output is wrong and explain how you get good results in these places, using specific examples from the data sample.
select lic.PIRM_ID, ic.CHR_ID, lic.CHARACTERISTIC_NAME, lic.TYPE_NAME, ic.CHR_VALUE, lic.NEW_VALUE, lic.MODIFIED_BY, lic.MODIFIED_ON, ic.CREATED_BY, ic.CREATED_ON,ic.MODIFIED_BY, ic.MODIFIED_ON from log_item_characteristics lic, item_characteristics ic,type_characteristics tc where lic.TYPE_NAME=tc.TYPE_NAME and lic.CHARACTERISTIC_NAME=tc.CHR_NAME and lic.PIRM_ID=ic.PIRM_ID and tc.CHR_ID=ic.CHR_ID and ic.CHR_VALUE <> lic.NEW_VALUE and lic.pirm_id in ('0307490N','0307521C') order by lic.pirm_id
Thank you; It is useful to see the existing query. Really, you have to format your code.
Please can you help me
What you've posted so far is like saying "I'm going 200 meters to the North, and then 500 meters East, but I'm not getting where I want to go." I would have a better chance to help you if you said, 'I'm out of my house, at 100, Elm Street and try to get to the supermarket at Broadway 279. I'm going 200 meters to the North... ', or, even better. "I want to buy a newspaper and some orange juice, so I thought I'd go to a convenience store. I start at my house, at 100, Elm Street... »
Always post some examples of data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, as you did in your first post) and the desired results from these data. Explain how you get these results from these data. -
