  Unfortunately, we cannot download live version and import in Muse. You must make changes to the end of the Muse and then update the site.

  You don't need to drag and drop files. You just need to set the site in DW site manager. In site settings, you point to the folder on your local disk that contains the files under the root of your site.

  the application directory is read-only. App-storage is read/write. If you have an existing database file that was installed in the application directory, you must copy it into the directory app-storage. Also, keep in mind that, if the application is uninstalled, all this information is also deleted. If you want to keep the user database file in the case where they re - install the app, you can copy/create the file in the document directory.

  . STE files are just the setingss of site definition you have created and exported from DW.

  If this is a new installation of DW, you have still no .ste file.

  Access the Site > new Site > tell DW where your site files on your local disk folder.  C:\yourSiteName.  See screenshot.

  

  Under servers: FTP login credentials for the remote server entry.  Root directory is any folder on the server of your hosting provider told to use for your files in public_html.  This varies by host.  If in doubt, check with your web host for more details.

  What is the good method to download an existing Web site and import it into DW where all image links, CSS, etc. working properly?

  I downloaded a website available via Filezilla on my hard drive.  DW, I went to manage Sites > New and browsed the site.  When I open the index.html page in DW, images, and links are not bind properly.  When I download it to a folder of test on my server (e.g. www.soleproductions.com/happykids/), if I click on a navigation link, it takes me to www.soleproductions.com/bouncers.index.html instead of www.solproductions.com/happykids/bouncers.html.

  I also tried to create a new site with site management, set the FTP in DW and connect to the computer remote and 'GET' the Web site files to download to my hard drive.  Same results.

  I even tried to create a new Site in DW, open windows Explorer and drag and drop in DW, but that has not worked as well.

  I've recently spent Golive to DW and am still learning the differences on how to do what I know how to do in GoLive.

  You need to change all the links that were previously created. You can do this manually, or let the DW to do this for you. Start with the original files in the root of the local site. Create the happy children subdirectory. Then in the DW file panel, move the files from the root to the subdirectory. DW invites you to update the links.

  I use FF 8 on a Windows PC.

  I know that I can add new bookmarks by clicking on the icon star or by right-clicking and selecting bookmark this Page. However, these two just send the new bookmark in the folder of unsorted bookmarks . At the end of each session, I then go manually through said folder, sort newly added Favorites in named folders.

  On the drop-down menu Edit this bookmark , there is the option to send the new bookmark to: choose, Unsorted Bookmarks, bookmarks Menu, Bookmarks Toolbar. I do not use the bookmarks toolbar by choice. If I choose the Menu bookmarks as destination folder, I still have the task of 'end of session' sort manually bookmarks newly added. And if I go for the option of Choosing , the same options available just recycle.

  Is it possible to create new folders of pre-sorting, which correspond to the and with my list of files of existing bookmarks? So I don't have to go through the sort of "end of session"? Or is folder: drop down menu, just a redundant back to a previous version of FF? (If it's the latter, it may be something for developers remove.)

  Please don't refer me back to the help files on the bookmarks. The only advice given sort, are recirculation references to add new bookmarks to the Unsorted Bookmarks folder and renaming, neither of which I have a problem with for the moment.

  I noticed that both of these arrows; If I select the larger of the two I just get a drop-down menu that lists the Bookmarks Toolbar, bookmarks Menu, unsorted bookmarkswith the new folderoption. If I then select new folder, then only I am presented with my existing bookmarks menu. From here I can then select a directory, but the new bookmark is placed inside the list in the folder/sub folder.

  If I choose the smaller arrow, I get Bookmarks Toolbar, bookmarks Menu, bookmarks not sorted, to Choose. Now if I select Choose, then I get a drop-down menu of bookmarks, Bookmarks Menu, Unsorted Bookmarks toolbar, with the new folderoption. And the above applies with respect to sorting.

  You use the Ctrl + B to open or close, is by far the simplest method and I will use it in the future. And by dragging the icon of the Web site in the manner described above seems a valid method to add a new bookmark. However, there is no way to change the new name of the bookmark before being placed in the folder. But at least with this method, you can choose the exact position in the file/folder.

  Me too.

  As you say, it's not perfect, but there are ways to sort the entries. However if you want short and precise names for bookmarks, (and not the complete Web site address and or the list of what is at that site) then a certain amount of editing and or random play will take place at a later date. I'll look around for a Add-on to help me and thank you for your knowledge and help in this quest. I think for now at least, I will have to mix & match different ways to add new bookmarks and continue editing bookmarks newly added at the end of each session.

  Novel I just fell on the info that FF is a 32-bit application. Now I use it on a 64-bit PC. I checked beforehand to make sure that I got the correct version. But the newly acquired information indicates that the 64-bit versions of FF may be unstable. Maybe that's why I don't get the same range of menus as suggested.

  You can reload webpages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

  • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
  • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
  • Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)

  You can delete all data stored in Firefox with a specific area through "Forget this Site" in the context menu of a history entry ("" history > view history "or" view > sidebar > History "") or via the subject: permissions page.

  Using "Forget this Site" will delete all data stored in Firefox in this area as bookmarks, cookies, words of past, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful and if you have a password or other data from that domain you don't want to lose then check that back up these data or make a comment.

  You can't recover from this "forget" unless you have a backup of the files involved.

  It has no lasting effect, so if come back you on such a 'forgotten' site, then the data of this Web site will be saved once more.

  I recently had a website for my business and I decided that its becoming outdated seriously.

  I created a new Web site using adobe muse with the original plan to delete the old site and replace it with the new site muse, but on the same domain name.

  Yesterday, I saved all the files of my site obsolete and deleted from the server and downloaded my new site Web de Adobe Muse to my FTP host with the original domain name.

  Now, when I search the keywords I'm looking generally when I had the old site, the link comes up, but when I click on a 404 not found error page appears.

  At the moment, I do believe that my works from home page by clicking on it, all other pages seem to show a 404 error.

  I'm not very experienced with web site design, please help me as soon as possible. My business is internet-based, every day without my site, my business is suffering.

  In addition, how the site works in preview? If it works in preview, and all links to pages etc. are very good that there should be no reason for this issue, unless there is a server problem.

  After you download the new file, confirmed that this new file is downloaded correctly? You can use any ftp client and connect to your server to check downloaded files. You can contact your Web host for questions at the end of the server.
