How to import internet shortcuts?

I'll put up a new laptop after a HARD disk crash. I copied in all of my data from a backup HD Ext. I have my old IE 'Favorites', registered in records as "internet shortcuts" on my new C drive.

Please, how do these favorites / bookmarks in FireFox?

I've read elsewhere that I first need to import them in IE, but the method described seems to only allow the import of a file at a time. I have c 600 bookmarks.

I use Win7 Home Premium and Firefox 10.0.01. I got IE9 on this computer.

Thank you

If you have bookmarks of IE with a .url file extension then you will need to copy in the Favorites folder in your Windows user account to see IE then and probably Firefox as well if you want to import IE Favorites.

  • C:\Users\ < user > \Favorites

If you used Firefox before and you need to restore Firefox personal data and then also see:

    Hello

Please try this: (Alt + B) bookmarks > show all bookmarks (or Ctrl + SHIFT + B), click on import and backup (top) > import data from another browser. Alternatively, you can also export from IE (file > import and export > export to a file) and import them into Firefox. Here, you can choose to import bookmarks in HTML in import and backup and navigate to the exported HTML file for IE. Favorites in IE = bookmarks in Firefox.

  • How to get "Internet Checkers" back on the desktop with an icon?

Original title: How can I "INTERNET draughts" _A game I still had on my desk back when I search it does not find the program that is the play area, but no matter what I can't get it back

I used to play the original game on my computer every day, I even had an icon dedicated to it on the right side with all the other icons on the blank screen, it turns out that since I am disconnected from a router to another router I have more icon of the familia which shows a blue chip Checkers game & where the icon used to be there is an icon that looks like a miniature 'windows' (with the small blue border along the top from left to right), the same size as the other icons, and instead of internet checkers it says: "chkrz.ex" I do not know, but it is a similar term, but he wwas exactly & it's gone now.  How can I get it back to my windows xp computer?

    Hi EddieQuing,

It would be possible that the shortcut for the game has been corrupted.

Check if the game is available in "all programs". If so, create a new shortcut.
    a. click Start. Click "all programs."
    b. click on games. Highlight on draughts of the Internet and click on send to and choose Destop (shortcut).

    Check if that helps.

If that's not enough, and if the game is not available at this location, follow these steps to see if the game has been turned off and activate the same.

    a. click the Start button, click Control Panel, click on Add / Remove Programsand then click Add or remove Windows components in the left pane.
    b. now in the Windows Components Wizard select the check box for Accessories and utilities-> click Details-> Select the CheckBox games and double click on it and in the list of games that appears, check the box for 'online games', click OK.
    c. click OK twice.
    d. restart the computer now and check.

Keep me updated on the status of the issue.

    The following versions of Microsoft Outlook are fully supported on Windows 7;

  • How can I copy shortcuts places frequent file list (to jump) to an Excel spreadsheet?

I would like to be able to copy it to an Excel sheet the places frequent folder shortcuts list (list of jump) to an Excel sheet.
I don't talk for files of recent locations or internet shortcuts/favorites.
My understanding is that the list of files to frequent places can be considered in this path of the directory in Windows Explorer:
    %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations
The names of files that show are cryptic and the files cannot be opened normally.
Anyone know how I can copy the file names and these frequent military places files in Excel?
