How to include the DBID in file name backup controlfile

Hello

I googled on this issue a lot... in fact, for purposes of recovery disaster, wants to go somewhere 'visible' dbid (I know there are workarounds to find the dbid of the db, as I connect to running RMAN and the dbid is there, but I prefer he's ready at hand) so I found that the % F parameter sets the dbid in filename. But RMAN throws error when I use this setting and says that F is a stranger.

Any ideas?

Have you used as what you typed? It's F %

It will be %F

  • How can I get the 8.3 file name short AND way?

We use some old DOS programs and need to use the old format back (filename.xxx). When the files are in the long trees, it is very difficult to find the names of files under Windows.

There was a response published in Google (http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/522710.html) which works very well under XP, but when I use it in Windows 7, I get the long file name.

Does anyone know how to do this?  The program can be changed?  Here is the program of this flajason-ga posted, but it must be updated for Windows 7 (I only know how to program in Foxpro).  Thank you, Alan

After my last comment, I read your details a little closer.
The last script I posted was to list out a whole directory in 8.3 format.
If you are looking for a friendly way of Clipboard to recover the 8.3
for individual files, that will be more to your liking.

Same thing as before. Copy the below into Notepad and save it with a .vbs extension.
Except that this time, you can simply drag and drop a folder or file icon
on the .vbs file and it displays the short path in an input box.
where you can copy the value and use anything you want to.

If you're industrious, you can also save the .vbs file in your
Folder "send to" (C:\Documents and Settings\ [yourname] \SendTo) to have
It is available in your context menu with a right click.

    Set fso = CreateObject ("Scripting.FileSystemObject")

    ' Is a file or a folder?
If fso. FolderExists (WScript.Arguments (0)) then
    "It's a folder
    Set objFolder = fso. GetFolder (WScript.Arguments (0))
Refund = InputBox ("this is your short path:", "SHORT PATH", objFolder.ShortPath)
    End If

If fso. FileExists (WScript.Arguments (0)) then
    "It's a file
    Set objFile = fso. GetFile (WScript.Arguments (0))
Refund = InputBox ("this is your short path:", "SHORT PATH", objFile.ShortPath)
    End If

Windows cannot do natively.  A file name is simply a file name and you can not prevent the registration of a file based on its extension.

You can change file associations, such as a double click on a file with a particular extension will not automatically launch an application given, however, but that's not what you asked.
You may also schedule a program to run from time to time which will erase all files with a given as well.  but until this program is executed, such a file might exist on your disk.

  • How to change a Movie Maker file name extension

I am trying to load a video You Tube and Facebook of Movie Maker on Vista, yet both programs say that they do not support the MSWMM file name extension. How can I change the extension wmv or something supported by these programs without destroying the file?
I already changed the position of file name by renaming the file, but it destroyed and I was not even able to see.

    Hi Linsala,

Try highlighting your video on the collection list and then clicking Save film on top of the toolbar. Go through the steps and it should save it as a wmv.

  • How to install the large data file?

Anyone know how I can install large binary data to BlackBerry files during the installation of an application?

My application needs a size of 8 MB of the data file.

I tried to add the file in my BlackBerry project in the Eclipse environment.

But the compiler could not generate an executable file with the following message.

«Unrecoverable internal error: java.lang.NullPointerException.» CAP run for the project xxxx»

So, I tested with a small binary file. This time, the compiler generated a cod file. but the javaloader to load the application with this message.

"Error: file is not a valid Java code file.

When I tried with a small plus, we managed to load, but I failed to run the program with that.

"Error at startup xxx: Module 'xxx' has verification error at offset 42b 5 (codfile version 78) 3135.

Is it possible to include large binary data files in the cod file?

And what is the best practice to deal with such a large data files?

I hope to get a useful answer to my question.

Thanks in advance for your answer.

    Kim.

I finally managed to include the large data file in library projects.

I have divided the data file in 2 separate files and then each file added to library projects.

Each project the library has about 4 MB of the data file.

So I have to install 3 .cod files.

But in any case, it works fine. And I think that there will not be any problem because I use library projects only the first time.

Peter, thank you very much for your support...

If it's just a personal folder, and then right-click on the file, select Rename , then change the name to what you want and press enter. Avoid changing the file extension (.jpg in this case) as it may cause problems with it being recognized as the wrong file type.

  • How to upgrade the already encrypted files on the USB HDD with new XP Recovery certificate

I backed up the files encrypted in My Documents on a USB drive on which these files are also encrypted state. My computer crashed so I reinstalled the operating system. I wanted to send records encrypted USB HD to my computer or tried to copy projecteurDu and paste them into My Documents. I could not do this because I got "an error occurred in the application...". access privilegesDo i., access is denied. "I created a new recovery certificate and put in place a recovery agent. From there how I update the previously encrypted files on th USB HDD with the new recovery certificate? I'd appreciate a step by step procedure. Can I select the USB drive in the command line and run cipher/u on this drive or make the command/u of encryption on the computer without connecting to the USB HDD

Sorry to say that my bet is that you never gain access to these files again.

When you created the files encrypted, Windows creates a key for decryption to access these files and stored, encrypted in your certificate store.  When your system crashed, the decryption key has crashed with it.  Without this key, you will never have access to your encrypted files.  If you have recovered from a backup image-style, you should be able to access these files.  If you've recovered by installing Windows from the installation disc, then you have created a new and different installation with different Secure ID (SID) and a certificate store empty.  A recovery agent will only retrieve encrypted files that were created after that recovery agent was in place - as a new certificate.  What you really need to do, it's your old certificate to restore the backup that you created when you started using EFS.  The following article is mandatory for anyone using the EFS file system.  Special attention to the paragraph entitled "why you should back up your certificates.

"Best Practices for encrypting file system"

If you do not have a return to the top of your certificate, then things look dark.  There is a program called "AEFSDR' whose 'professional' version comes through what has not been overwritten on your hard drive in search of remains of certificates that could be delivered together to recover.

    Good luck

  • How to clear the Windows.edb file in Windows 8

DISPLAY TO THE CLIENT ACCOUNT *.

The customer has a PC under Windows 8, and he wondered how to remove the Windows.edb file. He recorded 60 GB of information. Is it possible to have the option of Windows search and have this file shrunk down to the size? Is it possible to empty this folder? Anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this problem?

    Please respond with more information.

Thank you very much for the help!

I just had this problem myself, with a clue consuming 107/278 GiB!

    Here's the trick:
    (1) search for "Indexing Options" (under "settings"). Open it.
    (2) search for 'services' (or run "services.msc") and find "Windows Search". Stop the service.
    (3) remove the Windows.edb file
    4) click on "Change" in the Panel "Indexing Options" already open, then click on "Erase and rebuild" for the index. You can also specify another drive to store the index on.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to run the Extendscript .bat file?

I have a file with some instructions .bat and I want that it runs from Extendscript.

How to run the Extendscript .bat file?

I tried execute(); order and it seems that .bat ran but no result, but when I double click on the .bat file all worksout very well.

How used runtime.exec () extend the script?

Can I communicate with Java JDK thru ExtendScript and run commands such as runtime.exec ()?

    can someone please?

You can do it like this:

    var batFile = new File("C:\\path\\to\\my\\batfile.bat");
    batFile.execute();

Note that this will only work if your system is configured in such a way that by double-clicking the .bat file runs it in reality.

    You can also use

    system.callSystem()

but note that this is only available in AE.
