  I have a form of inspection put in place for the health/restaurant inspectors.    Often during an inspection, they need get food temperatures and want to use the degree symbol.    They run this form on a tablet pc convertible, so a normal keyboard is not available for them in tablet mode and in laptop mode using the combination ALT + 0176 is always a PITA bread, because the keyboard doesn't have a full numeric keypad and people using this form are not the most computer people there in order to activate the endable keys function keys , then enter an ASCII code several times during an inspection.

  I was looking for a suggestion on how to inforporate something in the form in order to get the degree symbol into any text field, they run in the position of the cursor.

  The idea, I look for are:

  1.) command A button that inserts the symbol, but I'm afraid that by clicking on the button would lose focus of the destination field and it would be necessary to have a lot of scripts to remember which field was the last that they were to put it in the right pair.

  2.) event button or on the charge that inserts somehow the degree symbol to the Clipboard in Windows, but during an inspection, they can copy and paste something else so it compensation to.

  (3.) a kind of auto-remplacer text.  Not sure if this is possible in a form of adobe.  For example if they type 'deg' have the auto form replace it at "°".

  (4.) a special key press.  Not sure if Adobe can tell a special sequence of keys not used by Adobe and Windows, CTRL + D, hurry once insert a degree symbol in the current location.

  5.) kind of place a special icon on the toolbar of Adobe to insert the degree symbol in the place currently?

  Those who have some ideas that I think.  Many are probably dead ends.   If you have had this problem, how will you address it?

  I ended up using a simple replacement that I was mentining in my previous post, as to the types of inspectors "blah blah blah at 51 deg blah blah blah" and then leaves the field, FormCalc will replace the "deg" with "° F" so that the text now reads "blah blah blah blah blah blag from 51 ° F".

  I just need to train my inspectors to type "deg" exactly to have already it automatically.

  Replace "deg" by "° F" when the user leaves the field.

  $.rawValue = replace ($.rawValue "deg", "° F")

  As far as I am concerned there is no optimum degree of parallelism at the database level. The optimal value depends on the query based on the plan in use. This may change over time.

  It is not so difficult to abuse of the PQO and end up harming the overall database performance. PQO is a brute force methodology and should be applied with caution. Otherwise, you end up with results inconsisten.

  You can let Oracle manage, or you can manage it on the level of education through advice. I do not have to specify the degrees of parallelism to the object level. As I said, no two queries are exactly alike and what is right for a query on a table cannot be good for another query on the table.

  In the case of doubt put in place the system to let Oracle manage. If you ask really, it's how many sessions to allocate PQO then look at your reports Statspack or AWR and judge your system load. Monitor v$ px_session and v$ pq_slave to see how these views show activity.

  It would be good to know what model of laptop you have.
  But, normally, for the smaller cards, you will need an adapter that is often included, as for the memory stick pro duo.
  I think it's just normal size and you have to put in the middle of the card reader slot until you hear a click.

  If you have not changed the AutoPlay settings, you must get a new window with the files on your card, when you put it on your laptop.

  I was wondering if someone could help me out (?)

  I have an engine builder flash card, basically, an end user can upload an image of their choice, add text (if they want), and then have a personalized card printed for them. Think of a personalised gift (i.e. McDonalds GC). The company I work for as agreed that they want to be able to control the file size of the images uploaded outside. They want to be able to limit the minimum and maximum of the uploaded image sizes. This control is done outdoors, and the coding is already written (Python).

  Python developers have already been provided by the location of the Python page, I just need to insert the call within the ACE card builder. I have extremely limited experience with AS3, as will confirm a quick check of one of my posts. So I don't quite know how I can add this new call to the Python page. I say 'new' because there is already a call to another page of Python.

  I hope I explained myself properly and you understand what I'm looking for. If this is not the case please ask and I will be more then happy to further develop. I can also provide the pre-existing AS3 code if that helps. They are more than 1,000 lines of code, so I won't add it here and add to the length of this post, until it is absolutely necessary.

  So with a lot of help I got here, I was able to move all the way to learn how to do my work digitally instead of with an old camera.

  In my last discussion, I learned to make the tick marks with copies and rotation.  Now, my question is, how is the rotation calculated if A) I get the placement right tick brands, especially small ones because there are so many and B) how calculate the degree of rotation so that I have the right amount of space at the bottom of the gauge/dial?

  I know how to get the tick big brands and small graduations, if I had to place it evenly around the entire circle, I know how to do this too - but since I'm putting around some of the circle (although always evenly) I'm lost.  I can understand only the space of hit and Miss calculations and that takes too much time.  I also need to know how to rotate the whole thing by obtaining space open as shown below.

  A single display element is not rendered at the point of entry to the difference of the other editable on the page elements, if you look at the html code of any view one item and compare it with a textfield should be clear.

  You can have another element hidden with the value that can be returned in the process
