How to install a Bluetooth Driver in box on new hardware in Windows 7

Hi all

I want to use Microsoft provided integrated Bluetooth driver.

I have my new Bluetooth hardware.

In Device Manager, I selected generic Bluetooth adapter driver for the hardware.

It shows Bluetooth generic adapter not Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator.

How can I start Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator, to work with my hardware. ?

Give me information on that.

Hello, NGO,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community.

Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator comes into play when you connect the Bluetooth device unless the coach in which Windows 7 automatically installs the driver.

After that Windows detects the Bluetooth device, it is controlled by Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and not the third-party driver.

Here's a way to install the bluetooth driver released by the manufacturer to resolve the problem.

Method 1: Rename the Bth.inf file

Rename the %WINDIR%\inf\Bth.inf to Bth.bak before you install or reinstall the battery or third device.

To rename the file, follow these steps:

1. click on Start, click run, type %windir%\inf in the Open box, and then click OK.

2 right-click Bth.infand then click Rename.

3 Rename Bth.inf to Bth.bak, and press ENTER.

Method 2: Install the bluetooth driver

1. click on Start, type devmgmt.msc in the Open box and then press on Enter.

2. Locate the unit.

3. right click on the device, then click on Update driver.

4. follow the steps that appear on the screen in the Hardware Update Wizard to specify your own driver for the Bluetooth device.

This should be it.
