How to install a graphics card in Dell Inspiron 15 3521

Hello, a few days before I brought a new laptop which is a Dell Inspiron 15R 3521. Its specifications are all good except its GPU which is Intel HD 3000 graphics. I like to play the games and other HD video, but when I try so the computer becomes slow and I can see a graphical Corruption on the screen. So I want to get rid of this 3000 HD and install A NVIDIA Geforce GT 630 M 2 GB GDDR3 GPU.

So my question is who is there any way so that I can replace my 3000 HD and install a GT 630 M? If yes how?

Please help me, thank you... :)

Hi Narayan Chatterjee,

Dell Inspiron 15R 3521 is delivered with the following "graphics cards":

  • Graphics Intel HD 4000.
  • AMD Radeon HD 7670M.
  • AMD Radeon HD M 8730.

The 'graphics card' system is integrated on the motherboard. If you want to update, an entire motherboard swap is required as well as a few minor as heatsink thermal, thermal components, etc.

You can contact Dell sales team in your area and order a replacement with the enhanced graphics card motherboard. You can check the manual from the link http://bit.ly/YIjAT3 for the guidelines on the replacement of components on the system.

Note: Please follow the safety information on the manual before replacing any component.

If you are in the USA, you can contact our Department of spare parts and accessories on 1-800-357-3355. Please see the link for more information http://dell.to/YYkrcU. If you are in a different region, go to http://dell.to/QjjZDA , select the country / the parched region from the top, scroll down and click on "Contact Dell sales" for contact information.

  • How to install the graphics card Nvidia Quadro 4000 in Dell R710

    Hi all

I read a lot about the installation of the Nvidia Quadro PCIe x 16 card in a Dell R710.  I know what parts I need to order (Dell GP347 PCI-e left Riser), but I don't know how to install the power cable 6 pin required by the Nvidia card.  Where would connect it to the motherboard Dell R710?  Is there a place to connect?  If not, is there some type of power provides I can hang the 6-pin power Cable from Nvidia and power the server?  Any help would be appreciated.

It's a bit old now, but thought I would answer that I had this work and very happy with the performance!

In addition to editing card, that I needed, there is NO way to provide the power that the card must provide without a power SUPPLY.  There is a really small box listed on Newegg called "ePOWER EP - 450CD 450W ATX12V/EPS12V modular juice dedicated to the area of graphics card and CPU of power".  Buy and run the GPU power cable to an empty PCI slot at the back of the Dell server.

I also bought some video cards NVidia Quadro 4000 2 GB GDDR5 PCIe for each of my 5.5 ESXi servers. Also, I left my active integrated video graphics card and it is always primary for my hypervisor.

Download and install the NVidia ESXi drivers on their site and follow the directions to install.  Reset.

I use sVGA with my Horizon offices and downloaded a trial version of Sketch-Up to test the 3D.  They have a community of users who post 3D renderings and you can download it directly from the Sketch-up program.  Cruise around and check the performance.

As a side note, I noticed IE worked worse way by using the GPU when browsing the internet.  Go to settings, advanced in Internet Explorer and has the option at the top of the page "use rendering software instead of GPU".  This change makes IE works as expected.

  • Update graphics card on Dell Inspiron 580 MT

    Hello

I watch first through similar threads on this site, but I found the newest one was more than a year, so I decided to create a new post

We have a 6 years, Dell Inspiron 580 Mt. just only because of his age, I'm about to put in a new hard drive, & when doing this, I thought to upgrade or replace the dedicated graphics card.

At the present time, there is a NVIDIA GeForce G310 512 MB card in there. The computer is used mainly for businesses, so not forced to play on it. The card manages two monitors, two Dell 2007FP with a resolution of 1600 x 1200. For the moment, we're on DVI, one on VGA, but I would like to make two DVI to 'Future Proof' if we replace with a higher resolution larger screens and more.

What would be a reasonable upgrade graphics card? I would like to find one that would not require an upgrade of the power supply as well.

Processor is an Intel Core i3 Processor 530(2,93GHz,4MB)

8 GB of RAM on board

    Suggestions that much appreciated :-)

Here are a few other graphics cards that are compatible with your system.

    nVidia GT220 1 GB

    nVidia 1 GB M207

AMD Radeon HD 5670 1 GB

    AMD Radeon HD 5450, 1 G

You can search the specifications of the ports on the vendor's site, before you decide on one.

The machine with only 300w PSU, so don't worry about changing the PSU.

  • Details of graphics card (5548) Dell Inspiron 15

I recently bought a dell inspiron 15 (5548) and now im faced with somewhat misleading of the problem with the graphics card. Is - this m265 R7 or R7 m260?

Latest drivers Dell show as m265, but the games stuck and completely non playable after the A06 bios update. Latest drivers from AMD say good race his m260 and games (ex: CS: go to 45-55 fps).

Also when buying the guy from the dell store said m260 / m265 is a dedicated graphics card and this message says that it is not, rather, it is just a rendering engine. Thus, evrything goes through processor again and so on...

Could someone sort this point for me coz its nowhere mentioned on the page of the product it's a converter card. Also when you guys will fix that issue drivers? It is 260 or 265 or just a problem of labelling? IM currently with AMD drivers and it just works.

Idk it I can post my service here tag. Answer me if its ok.

    I need answers guys...

The system uses the hybrid video controlled by software.  Only the Intel GPU has a connection to display - all passes video through it on its way to the screen, even if it was made by the AMD GPU.

Virtually all systems of low - medium range now work this way.  If you need true GPU support, discreet, it is the province of high-end Alienware and Precision mobile workstations.   That's all as many competing systems from other manufacturers.

  • Desperately need a updated graphics card for Dell Inspiron N7010

I literally spend days trying to upgrade the GPU on my Dell Inspiron N7010, Windows 7 machine. I made the mistake of download 2012 Movie Maker to replace the 2011 version, which worked perfectly. It gave me an error message, and when I tried to reinstall 2011, the same error came. After much research, I've learned I need and upgrade to a version that is better than my current one, 8.15.10.2104. A comprehensive online search did not produce any fix for me. My question is: Y at - it an upgrade to that driver of 2010, and if so, how can I get?  Thank you.

  • Graphics card for Dell Inspiron 3847

Can I put a 7200LE card in this computer?  If Yes, which?

Recently, I put in an NVidia GTX 750 Ti in mine and have no problem except a bottleneck of the i3 4150 but im going to level it too. Rememeber if you receive anything requiring that you will need to buy a new power supply to fuel the beast that I suggest, if you get something newer that my 750Ti then it will be necessary to get at least a 400W - 750W PSU according to what the applications card and if you upgrade the processor. Personally, I like the whole machine, that Dell is the best producer by far in my opinion. I had an HP previously and a Lenovo. HP is the worst customer far experiencewise and Lenovo is ok, but their systems appear cheap inside as they have their own internal components "because its cheaper" kind of thing going. Dell is 5 stars

  • Dell Inspiron 15 (3521) Touch screen replacement help

This past Christmas, I got a Dell Inspiron 15 3521 touchscreen. Recently, I took it to his laptop computer case to find that the screen was cracked. It was not a crack in the external display. If you run your fingers on the screen, it's smooth, but there are visible cracks and a section of the screen that the office does not appear, but only an odd mesh of white and black with some other colors included in the section. I looked up the screen replacements and I found a detailed description on YouTube showing how to replace the display in the Dell Inspiron 15 3521. He was a link in the description of spare parts. That would solve my problem, but I just have a question: my phone is a touch screen and I am not sure if the replacement screen is a touch screen. I want to be able to use my laptop up. If it includes the ability to touch, I want a touch screen replacement. I'll post a link to the site with spare parts. Please respond and tell me whether or not it is tactile. If this isn't the case, please leave a link to a screen touch screen replacement. Please help me on this. I'm the kind of person who will lose sleep if I can't be sure. • How to upgrade the graphics card with t500 20896kg

    Hello

I've been misled by some tests to the conclusion, that all the t500 would have this incredible "switchable graphics" and Announces. Ruse, simply create a good product and then 70 different versions with a lot less stuff inside - everyone will buy it, which is not a complete hardware nerd and knows all the numbers and things. In any case, I'm the fool who bought the T500 WITHOUT any graphics at all because Intel x4500HD is obviously not the use of a graphics card, he just pretended a. Not Fallout 3, no 'empty' (graph sucks pretty well, even if no laptop with an older map should have problems with it), no nothing.

It doesn't mean ANY modern game at all, 771,2 Mo 'RAM' Intel X4500HD or not - you know before or pay huge sums for games that do not work have Forum-Nerds laugh their bootys away on a silent client who fell the tricks of Lenovo (and Intel).

Yes, rantings side: is it possible to upgrade the T500 20896 kg - that goes without graphics card - with a real graphics card, would be the choice to choose and how do I insert it?

    Thank you

PS: by the way, someone had some effort with this lenovo-windows-update action? has attracted money, never had no reminder or shipping.

Laptop monitors the work of the best on the native resolution, but it will not be so bad. Backlit by LED is not a fancy add-on, your cell phone screen is an example of backlit, while not being used it obscures first itself, then turns off, see the procedure for good links learn what it is: -.

  • Dell Inspiron 15 3521 graphics card

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 15 3521, that contains the following components:

    -CPU: i3-3227U @ 1.90 GHz + Intel HD Graphics 4000

    -RAM: 4 GB @ 1600 frequency

    - AMD Radeon HD M 8730.

The laptop came with Ubuntu 12 and I formatted everything; After that, I installed Ultimate SP1 Windows 7 x 64.

Because I got no CD / DVD with its pilots, I downloaded them via the Dell Support site (choose my specific category) and with a pilot program; First, I installed Intel HD Graphics 4000 and then I restart the laptop. She has worked, good graphics. The latest driver I installed, dell support ( http://www.dell.com/support/troubleshooting/us/en/19/Product/inspiron-15-3521 - I chose Windows 7 x 64), AMD Radeon HD M 8730 that contains this description:

This package provides the AMD Radeon HD M 8730 graphics driver and is supported on Inspiron 3 x 21 and 5 x 21 and Vostro 2521 running the following Windows operating systems: Windows 7 and Windows 8.

After I reboot the laptop, when the office was released, the Office had a problem: (flashed) blinked quickly; I tried thousands of possibilities (uninstall it, download it again, uninstall Intel HD Graphics 4000 and first install AMD Radeon HD M 8730 and after that, reinstall the Intel graphics card; I tried a different version of the AMD Radeon graphics driver and no way).

    What should I do?

In fact, the problem came from Intel HD Graphics 4000; If I install the latest driver for this material, part, it won't work (I'm still having this problem with the display flashing); But if I install a version more old Intel HD Graphics 4000 and after that I install AMD Radeon 8730 M driver, it works... Why is this?

  • Adapted from food for a Radeon Graphics Card (for Dell Optiplex 990) 6450

    Hello

I would like to install a graphic card Radeon 6450 in my computer Dell Optiplex 990. I already spent a considerable amount of time and money, the upgrade of the PC. However, the power supply plays in my mind a bit and in regard to the graphics card, I ordered for her and the form factor PC that seems to be a form factor small when I get my service in the site tag code, I want to make sure that I have made the right choice of first time.

My system is attached (a 1st) as well as specific photographs of power supply and graphics card.

I was told that I must really be consider a 400 Watt one. Furthermore. I understand that it's difficult to say without physically seeing the piece in question, but is there a standard size wise size that will fit in my case?

If you need more details, please let me know.

    Thank you very much

    Steve

    Above is current spec system.

Here are pictures of my current diet which I don't put everything (includes connectors - can you tell these if mine is ATX or the type that must be taken into account?):

    The graphics (Radeon 6450) which I have bought too soon! ( :| ) :

One of more to come. Also, I think I have the right PCI port on the motherboard. Who is the answer, please be able to confirm if you certainly know I wish it is my board or send me a photo of one. (It is that with the kind of clip on the end of it, the long version thing)? -Sorry for my terminology!

I would say your 709MT 240W power is very good for a 6450 which uses DDR3.  Not all current Dells use EPS12v ATX power supplies. You have only 2 slots and the card must be discreet.

Yes, it is possible, that there is an overload.

The solution is to get a sound card not cheap, I think.

One that works with everything what add on slots (PCI/PCIe x 1) you have.

Then get a Radeon HD6570 (didn't need additional power supply), or some other card Radeon HD if you wish.
