How to install Silverlight on Vista 64-bit?

Silverlight will not install on Vista 64-bit. Is there a way to get around this?

Your operating system does not support the 64-bit setup of silverlight.

Works OK for me since this link...

http://www.Microsoft.com/Silverlight/default.aspx

Check the system requirements...

http://www.Microsoft.com/getSilverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx

.. .click on the requirements tab (note that Vista is presented as not supporting mode 64-bit).

I could not install fixitcenter program on my laptop. (vista 64 bit)

This show of error on the desktop:

"fix installation Center has encountered an error.

an unexpected error has occurred. Please close try to run Setup again later. »

Please help me how I can solve and install this program.

It is possible that the installation requires you to be connected to the internet and required to help with the installation page is currently unavailable.  All you can do is as it says, try again later (I cant get onto the version online because of a problem at the moment-so maybe it's the same problem that is causing your problem).

You can try to download it again in the event that your initial download was bad.   Save it to your desktop.  Right-click on it and click on run as administrator (in case this is useful).  Make sure that you are connected to the internet when you are installing.  Here's a download site: http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Microsoft-Fix-it-Center/1271432341/1.

You realize that Microsoft Fix - it Online Center is still availalble and this program is not necessary unless you work in offline mode (and it may need to go online to help even in this case).  Troubleitcenter.support. Microsoft.com is also a beta product so there will be some bugs in which can lead to problems or do not work as it should - it may be better to wait until it is officially released - but it's up to you..

For now, the error you have given (if accurate and complete) does not suggest a Vista problem, but a problem with the installer or the process.  Try the above, but basically be patient.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to install Silverlight 32 bit in Windows 7?

Original title: 32 bit Win 7 reports such as 64-bit

I have an old 32-bit that was running XP.  Due to the end of LIFE, I have installed Windows 7 Enterprise. A ran professional DriverGenius to replace pilots (Powerspec does not support a v220 more, it seems). And then installed all the stuff from Adobe updates, Java, Microsoft, Firefox, Chrome. Everything seemed fine, but I need Silverlight. It is automatically uploaded to a 64-bit version, but refused to install because it was not 32-bit. System icon now reports the system in 32-bit. It is not.

He broke. How can I fix it?

I should have mentioned earlier, the reason that has not installed Silverlight, it's that I had installed IE 10. When I rebuilt, I installed IE 9 and Silverlight is now installed and works very well.

I finally found the system information (directions are not quite right), and everything said 64.

I still think I ran 32-bit XP for the last 5 years. I know that the Win7 disc is marked for 32-bit.

But it has been updated and works fine now as a 64-bit system.

As for the diplomacy of my teaching, it's more having been in IT support (probably around the time that your parents were in high school).

Thank you all for your help and your quick response.

Nothing seems to work, tried same recovery disk came with the computer, it says it is loading files, then it returns also to error message screen. Computer came with vista pre-installed, so I don't have this drive to try. Someone at - it solutions? Very frustrating, how do I search problem when the computer will not start at all? Help!

Follow the info below to try a Startup Repair:

As is the case with most computers/laptops these days, they do not come with good Vista disc to repair only the recovery disks.

If yours falls into the category above, download the ISO on the link provided and make a bootdisk of it.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista repair disc.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
There is not a disk of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • How can I receive a Vista 32 bit disc or a sparkling image file?

I bought Windows Vista 32-bit, but I lost my disc. I need to re install as soon as POSSIBLE. Don't know what to do.

    1. you could get a friend who has a DVD of Installation of Vista and borrow it. Use your own product key.

    2. call your computer amnufacturer. Request a set of recovery disks. It will cost very little and should be.

At the same time ask to talk to a technician and ask the tech if they had installed a recovery on your computer partition.

They will know the answer because they would be those who have installed the recovery partition, not Microsoft.

If the answer is Yes, ask the technology to teach you how to access and use the recovery Partition.

  • How to install a downloaded vista themes

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

    Ideas:

    • themes
    • Error messages
    • Recent changes to your computer
    • What you have already tried to solve the problem

This depends on the version and the number of the SP of Vista you use - some work, others do not (the limitations are in the article):http://www.ehow.com/how_5568892_install-desktop-theme-vista.html.

Here is another procedure that was designed for Vista Basic, but I imagine it will work on other versions as well (and may work where the process above does not work):

First download Windows Vista UxTheme patch.
And follow these steps to install:
    Step 1: How to install
    1. log in as a user who has privileges - or - have administrative credentials ready (look under the keyboard for a piece of paper).
    2. navigate to %systemroot%\System32
    3 right-click uxtheme.dll, and then click Properties.
    4. appropriating the file and close the dialog boxes.
    5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for themeui.dll and shsvcs.dll
    6. click uxtheme.dll and click Properties.
7 give you (or group) permissions full control and close dialog boxes.
    8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for themeui.dll and shsvcs.dll.
    9. Rename uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.old.
    10. Rename themeui.dll to themeui.old.
    11. Rename shsvcs.dll to shsvcs.old.
    12. copy the patches files into %systemroot%\System32
13 reset (Yes, it is really necessary)

    Step 2:
download a Visual Style of Windows Vista, and then copy the theme to the Windows/resources/Themes folder.
Step 3: Right-click on the desktop and click on personalize. On the page which opens, click on theme and choose your newly installed theme!

I hope at least one of these plans will help you with the installation.

    Good luck!

    Greetings,

When I enter my key to download the 64-bit version of W7 it says I have to choose a language. The only data options are Korean and French. The key comes from a legitimately purchased English version. How can I get W7 Pro 64 bit in English?

I was very impressed by the time spent looking at the problem by the friendly support staff, the investigation, including remote access, the problem has been resolved to my satisfaction and - above all - it's free!

    Sarah

If you follow the 7 steps you can directly download a free trial here: Adobe Photoshop elements 14 Direct Download Links, first too. ProDesignTools

and activate it with your serial number.

If you have a problem from the download, you follow the 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.

the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow the steps 1, 2, and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system, allowing you to download the correct version of the adobe.com site).

failure to obtain this cookie translates into an error page displayed after clicking on a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (e.g., current) version.
