  • Satellite A-C50-1CK - how to install Win10 - NTFS file system error

    Hello

I recently tried to reset the factory settings on my laptop and think that I accidentally erased the whole hardrive. When I turn it on it just says please insert media. I thought I just needed to install windows, so I downloaded and put it on a USB flash key to install. Now when I did that it hold and brings me to an error saying "your PC came across a problem and must restart, we will restart for you." "If you want to learn more you can search"NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM"

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

Oh there there is nothing worse than receiving error messages that you do not understand.

OK, the content of your hard drive is probably still intact, unless you re-formatted disk, and which would be difficult to accidentally do that you get a warning indicating that you are about to clear its contents.

Do you have all the media when you bought the laptop, IE a CD? If so you can use and do a "repair" on your system.

If this is not the case, take a look here for some info on the installation of a flash drive. https://www.Microsoft.com/en-AU/soft...load/Windows10

I just do this exercise except that I installed a clean copy (no software programs unwanted annoying, AKA "Bloatware") of the W10 home on a new SSD.

  • While trying to install SP1a for Windows XP, the error is the following: server has not responded (Windows XP SP1a).

    Hello

Recently, I reformatted and reinstalled windows XP on my old laptop. Looking to obtain service packs for it, I read that you need to start with SP1a... I did some research autour and many people are having the same problem, but nobody responded to the real problem. According to Microsoft, I install SP1a to install any other. The error is as follows: the server did not respond. If the server has been taken down or refuses connections. My internet connection remained active all attempts to access the server.
Unless the information is wrong on the website, installation of SP3 won't fix it. All responses I've seen to this problem have been installing something you can't until you install first.
Here is the link, in that it tries to connect:
    Connection to
    http://xpSP1.Microsoft.com/ISAPI/pstream3.dll/XP/SP1.USA.1106a.
    Here's the exact error:
"The following error occurred during the installation of the Service Pack 1a attempted to download the files from the Service Pack 1 from the internet:
The server did not respond. »
    Thank you.

You should be able to download the Service Packs as a standalone installer at the following addresses:

    SP1a: <> http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=19751 >
    SP2 <> http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=28 >
    SP3 <> http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=24 >

If you can not download to your computer, then use another machine to download the installation file and move it to your computer.

You don't need to install SP1A.  XP Gold, you must install SP1A or SP2 before installing SP3.  I recommend that you start with SP2 and then SP3.

    How to install (manually)?

    Janet,

Open Windows Update in Control Panel. Click on the link "view update history". Note the number of the * defective * updates.

Then, go here: Microsoft Download Center http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/Search.aspx

Download updates by searching the KB number, save updates said to date.

When you all, close Internet Explorer and install them one at a time.

NOTE: do not forget to download updates for the architecture of the system. x 86 (32 bit) x 86 (32 bit), versions of the systems; x 64 (64-bit) versions for x 64 (64-bit) systems.

A KB was created for 646 error code that appears during the installation of the updates of Microsoft Office. The KB includes an automated fix which solves the problem. Look at the following KB:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2258121

  • How to install Windows XP SP1 from the disc and not an error message indicating "unable to install from the web?"

My laptop with Windows XP home (2002, upgraded to SP3), crashed after almost 10 years of perfect service. Then I reinstalled my OS (not OEM, bought and paid for a full installation of Windows XP Home, 2002), and after 3 hands hours hardware controllers and drivers, installation was finally able to connect to internet to make updates on Windows XP and hardware. Arriving at Windows Update of the site, I realized that I couldn't do web updates up-to-date, because my old version of Windows. It will not be updated to SP3, because I need SP1 or higher. So, I tried to download and install SP1a. Error says that I can not reach the server. So, I download SP1a on my other computer, burn a CD and try to install SP1a directly from CD. Now, I get an error message stating "error installing SP1a, unable to reach the server. Try again when you have access to the web... Hello! I'm not trying to install from the web... why this message? I even made my computer has been getting a good connection ethernet, just in case my computer needed to communicate with? While my computer has been updated by CD.

It's probably something simple, but I'm frustrated. Help when the first thing I see on the Microsoft Update site is a special page, telling me that I am not able to update Windows. Help, please!

You must use this upgrade path:
Gold XP to XP SP2 to XP SP3.
Note that installing SP1a is TOTALLY USELESS! (Not only that, the file available these days is EVIL, because you knew.)
    Here are the detailed instructions:

    1. download the installation files from SP2, SP3, IE8 and Microsoft Security Essentials, which is an effective antivirus/antimalware program. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=28 (for SP2)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

(You can TOTALLY ignore the message "intended for it professionals"!)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/products/security-essentials (for MMS)

    2. disconnect Internet.

    3. temporarily disable the automatic updates.

    4. install SP2. Restart twice.

5 install the SP3. Restart twice.

6 switch to IE8. Restart twice.

    7 install an Antivirus software.

(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).

8 make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should be).

(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet.)

9 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates.

10 re - enable automatic updates.

After the back if you need guidance.

A security update for windows THAT XP cannot install (KB2707511). Code received the error 0x80076BE. How to install this update?

    Hello

You are able to install other updates successfully?

See the methods mentioned below and check if that helps.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software.

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: put the computer in a clean boot state to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

When trying to install Google Earth I get error 1603.  How to fix?

Theres a few things to try in this post - https://productforums.google.com/forum/#! topic/cards/TGgdOcs4PL0 specifically the bit - "the file offered on the main download page is a small installation of the file that at the launch, connects to the internet and download and install the full program. that someone later claimed contributed to them and also something to check.

I don't think that you can install Windows 7 with Boot Camp on El Capitan:

    • A Microsoft Windows installation media or disc image (ISO) containing a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows 8 or later *.

From: How to install Windows using Boot Camp - Apple Support.

Windows 10 is simply too new for your Mac, and Windows 7 is too old. It is quite a difficult situation. If you really need Windows, you would need to get a copy of Windows 8, or put to level to an earlier version of Mac OS X with a version of Boot Camp that works in Windows 7.

  • How to install Office for Mac 2008 on El Capitan 10.11.3?

I'd love to help on how to install my Office for Mac 2008 software on my new MacBook Pro. When I run the installation I get the error message "Setup could not install the software because there's no software to install" who says a guy from Microsoft's Support could be because I was running the disc via remote disc from my old MacBook. He added that Yosemite is the latest OS to support the 2008 Microsoft software. Does anyone know if there is a way around this?

You may be able to create an iso from the installation disc, and then move the iso to your MacBook Pro and run it from there. RoaringApps.com said it should work in El Capitan without problem but I still do not believe their results.
