• My iMac freezes during a turn on and between two switching user accounts

  My 2011 iMac has been crashing for weeks. Usually, it freezes when I turn it on, connect to switching user accounts or user accounts.

  I upgraded to Sierra yesterday and I continued using for hours and it was fine.

  I turned on today; some of the Apple applications do not work... Mail, App Store, Safari (this is what I tried). Responsible mail application, saw a list of emails, but when I click on a particular message, the message will not load. Safari cannot load a Web page at all (I'm now using Chrome). Simply go to your settings box screensaver (in "personalization" in the control panel), select a screen saver if you have not already, choose how long you want to wait and next to that is a check box beside the words, "on resume, display logon." Check it out. Once the screen saver comes up then when move you your mouse or whatever you (or your children) must enter the password to log on. If they don't know the password they have to ask you to leave.
