  Hi Angie, you use the WYSIWYG editor to create pages? If so, if I'm reading this right, you are looking to change the background color of the different page elements? You should be able to select each item and apply the color as below:

  I am looking in the labview 8.6 web services option. I've seen some simple examples that can be found here on the website of the NC. But these examples generally deal with static data. As in the example of the sum, you enter your parameters in the URL, and the result is displayed in your web browser.

  What I want to do now is display a chart in my web browser that show a mobile signal. But I'm having a hard time the realization of this. How to make this work? Do I need AJAX, Measurement studio? or is it sufficient to use the labview web service.

  You are right that web services do not require runtime must be installed on the client. Unlike the remote panels that make the VI on the client, web services nothing do with the client at all. Simply, the web service is running on the server and returns data to the client. The customer can return the data, but he wishes.

  Your question about studio of measure and AJAX is really asking questions on the client end. You can certainly use the AJAX controls that are updated with the data they acquire a web service from LV. A graph, however, is extremely difficult because javascript has not yet drawing capabilities.

  Web graphics I've seen do one of the following:

  -'Draw' the points on graph using HTML elements with javascript. It of complicated, would be difficult to get working on all browsers and would have problems of severe performance with large data sets.

  -The web service returns an image of a graph that refreshes the client. It takes more bandwidth than necessary, and the server must be able to take a snapshot of the graph. (LV real-time cannot use this approach.)

  -The graph is rendered using a plugin for the browser. There are many technologies that can be used to do this: Java, Flash, Silverlight, etc. The example you mentioned used flex from Adobe which is a valid approach that you should not be quick to dismiss.

  Measurement Studio is not my area of expertise, and I don't know what it can provide for the creation of a graph. What it provides probably made use of one of the above methods.

• How to keep the correct margins/page size when you convert a Word 2010 PDF document?

  I searched the Internet far and wide in order to understand why, when converting a Word 2010 document in PDF format in Windows 7 (via Adobe Distiller 9.5.5316), the top and bottom of the resulting PDF margins are automatically increased (which reduces the content on the page a bit) despite having consistently and everywhere the value paper A4 in Word 2010 and Adobe default PDF settings. It's almost as if distilling is stubbornly scaling the document to a different page size any of the parameters are specified.

  I solved this problem in previous versions by simply unchecking scaling print in Microsoft Word or distill. "In Word 2010, do you this through: file-> Options-> advanced, and then clear the paper sizes 'Scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11' setting ' in the Print section.

  Today it is not so simple. I suspect that there is some chipping page or by default will sizing on but where and how to change it?

  I have to say that the years of updates Adobe seems to have two different products Adobe for creating files PDF. the above mentioned distill as long as Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended-(v. 9.5.5). However, they use the same default settings of PDF from Adobe by specifying the format of A4 paper.

  The Microsoft Office Spreadsheet ActiveX control will not import an Excel workbook. If you choose to use a table of LabVIEW control or ActiveX control, you can manually read the data in your Excel workbook using ActiveX (for Excel 2003 and earlier versions), and then fill the control (whether it is a table of LabVIEW or spreadsheet ActiveX control). Then, still using ActiveX calls once you must browse your Excel spreadsheet and read cell background colors, and then define the cells of the table LabVIEW control or control ActiveX to be the same. This is done by using the properties of the controls.

  Bottom line: this is a very manual process. For example, the attached VI is one that I post quite often. It will read the data from an Excel worksheet, and place it in a table of LabVIEW Control.

  Another option is to simply use a web browser control and display the worksheet by using the Excel plugin browser, as this is explained in this article: using the browser control Microsoft Web to incorporate a spreadsheet Excel in LabVIEW.

  Question: Why do you need to do this? What you are trying to accomplish in the long term? Perhaps there is a better way to do it.

• Impossible to use two af:tables with different colors (skins)?

  Im trying to configure the Siebel self-service application and customize the counting. I have a few problems, because I need to show two af:tables on the same page, but with different colors. One with black background and white text (header and body) and the other with white background and black text. I tried to use styleClass: are, but the css settings defined for the table of the af are the substitution of those mentioned in the style sheets.

  It is normally a sign of corrupt graphics drivers or graphics hardware fault.

  You should go to the website of your computer or the manufacturer of the graphics card > Search a drivers and download article > search your computer or your graphics card model number > your operating system > drivers for it: either video / graphic / Chipset (according to the wording it) > download and install the drivers.

  If that fixed it, it seems to me be a problem of graphic material.

  As it is a desktop, either Exchange your graphics card with a good.

  Or, if graphics card built-in, you will need to install a graphics card in a slot of the motherboard to see if this solves the problem.
