  I for the life of me can't find the problem with this error 1009.

  I have a Flash Menu as a header for my site with the following actionscript code:

  Debugger comes back with:

  TypeError: Error #1009: cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
  at introMenu_fla::MainTimeline/frame43() [introMenu_fla. MainTimeline::frame43:3]

  All instances are properly named and I get no syntax error, export to Flash.

  It's only when I saw in the browser or the live preview in Dreamweaver I get the error.

  Is there Javascript or something I'm missing? Any help would be welcome!

  This error is poitning to line 3 of the 43 framework.  To animate these objects in view with an interpolation of the timeline?  If so make sure that you name the instances of all keyframes.

  1009 error indicates that one of the objects targeted by your code are out of reach.  This may mean that the object...

  To all: this issue is now resolved.

  The culprit was a directory of IE8 has crashed. It seems that under xp, a lot of files and settings are common to IE8 and other applications (Outlook Express, and help & Support print, etc.), they were all affected. Manually, I deleted the directory ie8 (2) duplicate and cleaned the ie8 entries (2) invalid in the registry. Then I downloaded IE8 anew and reinstalled. After the reboot, all my problems have been fixed. The right click menu office was restored, as well as the OE print functions.

• How can I create a menu for a site to scroll a page for mobile devices?

  Hi, Im trying to create a menu for my version of phone of my a roll site page. I created a nice menu with the help of the Accordion widget, which when opened gives you links to different sections of the site that are defined by anchor points. The problem is when you select an element of the Accordion widget menu, it will automatically close after a click on the menu item. The site scrolls behind the menu, but you'll need to physcially close the menu by clicking on it again. It is of course a very bad user experience. I tried various menus third parties none of which work for sites of a page. Given the many Web sites is a scrolling page sites seems to be a major problem for users of Muse who have no menu option for this kind of design! Anyone know of any code that could be used to automatically close the Accordion widget when you select an item in the menu? Please help Ive spent a lot of time designing this site for the office but now having to PAP I can't produce the version phone, I really don't want to have to resort again to Wordpress.

• MovieClip menu for Web site

  Hi, I am creating a Web site in which I want a menu navigation created in flash. I have attached a picture of the menu (without animation) based on what it would look like on the homepage. What I want to do is the following; When you hover over every word I want the pink rectangle on the left to interpolate vertically so that it ends by next to the element is to be flown over. Once the user deletes the slider I want the pink rectangle to interpolate the default position. If on the home page, the default position would be to the left of the word House and on the info page, the default position would be to the left of the word info etc.

  I tried to change each word in the list into a movieclip symbol, but once I go in each symbol of I don't know how to create animation without copy and paste the pink rectangle in each movieclip. However as soon as I do that I find myself with several clips on the stage of the main stage.

  If someone could offer advice so it would be highly appreciated. I'm a student, so my knowledge of Flash is a bit basic, but it would be good to have someone push me in the right direction.

  Each object must be an object/movieclip separated with an instance name to match the code.  They can all go in the same framework/layer... they are not based on the timeline for something other than a place to live.  The code goes into the mounting Panel within the same framework (another layer) where you create these objects.  All this in an image.

• Draemweaver CS5.5; How to designate a remote server for web site folder

  Having a complete website built w / DW CS5.5 who I am trying to load on my GoDaddy hosting account. Site uploaded to the root directory of my GoDaddy account instead of the 'public_html' folder in the folder root. Want to re - download the 'public_html' folder, but there is no apparent provision in DW to point the upload to a specific folder (i.e., public_html) in the root directory of my account.

  On my GoDaddy website management page, I can spend my file root GoDaddy files downloaded in the public_html folder subordinate, but have to make an image file/t once (against a folder of files). It's a ton of shots, but more importantly, moving them individually will break all the links, so is not an option.

  Any ideas how to target the "public_html" folder in my folder root so I can re - download site here?

  Servers: In your case, the root directory is public_html / htdocs not.

  

  You should NEVER see the root directory in your local files Panel.  If you see in the local files Panel, your site is not properly set and you probably duplicated this folder on your server.

  As David says, it depends on your audience.

  Take a look at the stats of the site (if you have one at this point).  What kind of people are going to be viewing the site.  If it's a more technical audience, then they probably wide enough monitors, but it's a site of "mom & pop" type, so they can still use small monitors.

  These days, I went from 780 width (at a size of 800px wide window) to 980px width to meet the size of the window at 1024. With respect to height, not to declare a height at all.  This will allow the content to expand vertically as required, regardless of the size of the window.

  I intend using a gradient image as background on a new site of black on the sides gradiating to blue in the Middle I created in Photoshop. The site is designed for 1024 (955) and upward. How the background image would handle so that no matter what the resolution above 1024, the visitor sees the gradient correctly, which means that Blue will be always exactly in the center of the page and the image not horizontal mosaic? (I don't want to repeat from left to right when the resolution someone is really high)

  I saw a couple of sites that use strong images that seem to stretch the background image according to the resolution, but were not able to understand the CSS code. In my case, I have a single image that has say 5 pixels high, how wide I need for the (reasonable) maximum resolution, and let repeat from top to bottom.

  To do what you ask would require CSS3.  This is because that the CSS3 added support for multiple background images.  What you would do, is to set a gradient to the left and the other to the right with a background color that arise in a vacuum.    Basically use you the abbreviation of "substance" and separate the different environments with a comma ","  See this example ( http://www.css3.info/preview/multiple-backgrounds/ ).  I think it's possible the long way as well (for example: position of background, background image, etc.), but you would need to write the values and who is 1 and 2 in order when you do this.

  Please follow the steps below to reset the photoshop preferences.

  > Hold down Option + command + shift (Mac OS) when you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. New preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.

  Note: Using the hotkey, preference files for custom shortcuts, workspaces, and color settings will also reset to the default.

  If you are still facing the same issue, please uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers and check for the issue.
