  I have a requirement in my application a lot of program thatcreating a report to a file and it is written in a user's location. Now he specified directly as (c:\ or d:\...).

  The best practice would be to create the file in My Documents for the user currently logged in windows.

  Unfortunately, you did not mention your version of forms. In an older version like 6.x it is function in the library of d2kwutil called Read_Registry in the win_api_environment section, and in the more recent versions the same availble function in the library webutil to client_ name.

  So, you can read the registry database for the current logged in user using the function mentioned above of the location next to the register.

  There is an entry named personal. Read the path of this entry when running while generating / record file to the customer's location and save the file in this path.

  The label box was not checked in the options of meta data. Now I feel stupid.

  However - Adobe - why make a separate column of the label? -Why don't you just give us the option instead, or more, to paint the tray of mango by default. I like mangos but not all the time.

  After scouring the Windows registry, I think I have the solution. Each site, so that the user has a key has an entry in the registry; This corresponds to sites in the folder of the user Documents and Settings Local Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\Contribute 3\Sites. In this folder are subfolders called Site1, Site2, etc., who have stored locally projects and new pages. In the registry under HKEY_USERS\...\...\Software\Macromedia\Contribute 3\Sites are files called Site0, Site1 etc. Each of them has a setting of 'Local directory' you can change from C:\Documents and Settings\Settings\Application Data\Macromedia\Contribute 3\Sites\Site1\ to your favorite network location - which you can easily backup on a regular basis.

  I hope that in a next version Adobe will make cela a parameter that can be administered via the interface of Contribute 3. For us, it's the difference between using Contribute 3 and the CPS or abandonment of Contribute and looking for an alternative.

  You will need to use the picture to Pixmap VI to get a set of image data that you use with a shared variable. Take a look at the other screw in the photo on the block diagram features palette.

• Windows 7 - cannot choose or add default backup location (WHERE the backup on)

  I help a friend who has a Windows 7 based PC.  We tried to restore from a backup, and that's why, as a precautionary measure has changed rather than a backup on a USB FlashDrive to a single backup before restoring.  The restore was not successful (for other reasons), and now, we're just trying to change the user settings to save the suggested files and folders TO a location on its internal hard drive, not the USB drive more as default.  The only option available when opening settings allows you to use the DVD player.  I can't add a location or moved to other than that.  We worked on it for over an hour this morning and nothing I've tried has worked.  I tried to turn the calendar off thinking it would pass by a new configuration.  I tried deleting the USB and when the error message came had hoped to choose a different location, but he gave me the DVD player.  I tried a "Assistant" help, but there is none.  I searched the Microsoft Community of previous posts, but makes me return to the backup and restore even settings window with no possibility to choose other than the DVD player.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  This error occurs generally if one of the services required for windows to work backup is disabled or has not started.

  To check the services, click Start, in the Start Search bar type services , and then press enter.

  Please check that the following services are enabled:

  -"Remote Procedure Call" (RPCSS) must be active, Automatic.

  'COM + Event System"(EventSystem) must be active, Manual.

  -'System Event Notification Service"(SENSE) must be active, Automatic.

  -"Volume Shadow Copy" (VSS) must be active, Manual.

  'Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider' (SWPRV) must be active, Manual.

  Once you make changes according to the above specifications, you can try a backup and check to see if that solves the problem.

  I also suggest you to run a SFC scan.

  I use Apex 4.2.1 on mod_plsql and Oracle 11 g 3.  My application uses theme 21.

  I noticed a strange behavior.  All my messages page such as the success of process messages ('changes have been saved") and even validation error messages ("date field must have the value") will all be displayed at the bottom of my page.  The users do not know still an error has occurred or that their database changes have been successfully saved until they literally put you at the bottom of the page.

  My page happens to have several regions (HTML, report, form) some of which are "children" of the parts of 'parent '.  It's just the way I need to position the different regions on this particular page.

  If anyone knows why these messages appear at the bottom of the page?

  I want to display them all at the top of the page.

  Any son of tips/suggestion how to control the placement of the message on a page would be much appreciated.

  You put your regions in a position in the region above the location of the messages.

  Change one of the regions and in the "User Interface" section, there is the field "View Point".  Click on the flashlight icon to the right of this field to see a presentation of the positions of the region and location of the messages.  Note that #SUCCESS_MESSAGE # and #NOTIFICATION_MESSAGE # are under some other positions (e.g. region Position 1 and Position 4 region) region

  Parts of the main body of a page are normally in "body of Page Template (3).  Try changing your regions for the "body of Page Template (3)" shows point.

• Adding dynamic text; How can I stop the projection variable name?

  I create a simple game for children.  On the first page, I added a "text input" field for his first name.  I called the firstname variable.

  When they move to the next page, I used a 'text dyanamic' field so I can call by name on this page.  This works.  However, when I test the game, on the first page, where the first name is entered, it shows the _level0.firstname instead of just a blank for them to enter their name.

  I know I've fixed this in the past and it was something simple, but I don't remember how to do it.  I would be grateful to anyone who helps!

  do not assign a variable name for the textfield object. or, at least, do not use the same name of the textfield variable and instance name.

• USB-6525 NiDaqmx how to detect where the device interrupts the communication

  This could be considered a more generic question for NiDaqmx, but I write a custom control for internal use with the USB-6525 and possibly other devices of i/o using c#.  I use DigitalChangeDetectionEvent to warn me when an entry has changed and everything seems to work very well.  In an effort to be complete, I decided to unplug the USB cable and see the result and found that no error has been detected until I tried a writing output.  This is not acceptable because under normal conditions abstraction entry begins a process that will change output - given that admission never happens, the system is basically hung.

  I tried many things and have spent more time on what I want to admit so I would like to hear suggestions on how to address this problem.  Here are my attempts that I am not satisfied:

  (1) periodically switch (pulse) output that allows to detect the problem, but I may not be an available exit, so this isn't a good situation.

  (2) periodically trying to read the input byte with the same entry workflow, this does not work because I believe that the other player is still active with the DigitalChangeDetectionEvent.

  (3) attempted to take the message of Windows to change hardware, but seems too complex.

  (4) I read on the guard dog, but not sure that it is available on the box USB-6525.  So before I start with this I'd hear rather suggestions of others with more experience.

  Any suggestions please?

  Those are all very innovative way to potentially address the problem, and I'm sorry you haven't seen success with them.  Fortunately, the typical way to capture a break between a device of data acquisition and monitoring system is indeed a timer, and the 6525 has the innate ability to use the feature, as seen on page 5 of the user manual.  I suggest you go that route, if another user does not post a peripheral solution specific to your case.  This is a documentation on the implementation of the monitoring-

  Panel--> region and language--> location tab use this menu drop down to enter your locale. You can enter more specific information if you wish by clicking on the link to default location in the lower left corner of the tab location.
