How to make a file - or music on windows media player? How can I burn a cd - after that it goes to "write cd Drive files?
OMG... I'm so frustrated I'm trying to "burn" a CD - but I don't know how to get all the songs I want my music files for windows media player... sometimes I try to drag and drop - it does not work. I'll also to the song to find a file 'my documents' that I put there - and then click on "send to" - and I'm confused... sometimes, it will always write files - CD disc etc., it says cannot find file - I don't understand any of this - I read the troubleshooting info - but am still confused - I have a book on wind.2000 - etc , but it's not always easy. OK-I went to a few music sites - to find the music that I want to - and click right to track the song I want - it stores them in the file-for either my documents or? still, the book does not say how to get from one place to the other. HELP - trying to learn this for the last 4 days or more. PST.
Hello
Open wmp-top click on library - click music - add to the library - click on file (upper-left), click Add to library - find folder - click on open - click ok - click Add -.
should work
or create a new folder on the desktop right click on empty office create new folder give name - find all music-sending it all to new folder. - then WMP add to lib - this new folder.
Once you have a library of wmp for music - click on burn select that you want to insert a cd burner not a re-writer - and burn.
should work.

I suggest that you try to reset the media library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too.
To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:
a. close Windows Media Player.

Click Start, click run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
c. Select all files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
d. restart Windows Media Player.
Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:
exit Windows Media Player.
b. click Start, click run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoftand then click OK.

Music in windows media player will stop playing at the end of the song
Original title: at the end of the songs sound problem
When playing music in windows media player there are a couple of secpnds of silence at the end of each file-music
Hi ccjerry,
1 when was the last time it was working fine?
2. did you of recent changes on the computer?
If the music in your library skips or the audio breaks up when you play in Windows Media Player, it might be a problem with the sound driver installed on your computer. In general, this type of problem occurs towards the end of the songs (in the last 20 seconds or almost).
In some cases, you can work around the problem by disabling optional speaker effects that are collectively known asimprovements. If the disabling effects speaker resolves the problem, you may need to update your audio driver.
(a) Sound open by clicking on the Start button and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type sound, and then click sound.
(b) on the playback tab, click speakers, and then click Properties.
(c) click the enhancements tab, and then select the checkbox disable all improvements .
If you do not see the enhancements tab in the speakers properties dialog box, these features are not available for your speakers, and this procedure is not applicable to your computer.
If disabling audio enhancements solves the audio problem you are having, this indicates usually that your audio driver needs to be updated.
How can I stop my music skip or break down when I play?
I hope this helps!

The sound skips while I play music in Windows Media Player or Media center. Windows support indicates that this is caused by the audio driver is not not entirely compatible with the 64-bit system. Is it possible to get a compatible driver or is there a work around? I'm sure you can imagine that this is quite irritating. Thanks for any help.

Failed to RETRIEVE music in Windows Media Player.
Original title: Windows Media Player.
I recently bought a used laptop, BenQ joybook S, which has installed in wmp12. I cannot rip music, but can play music through it.
There are a lot of icons to the left in the library that the previous owner has left (note there is no music file, just different icons of the band) I can't remove as well.
Is it possible to remove wmp and then install a new version?
There is also a version of VLC media player also. If I need to delete what I don't want to use it. Is there a conflict with what is there?
