How to make Windows XP STOP drive default sharing?

I have Windows XP Professional SP2. I connect to the internet using a local area network. I have NOT set up anything.

My problem is: whenever I start my computer, share all my readers and the folder c: Windows at Windows startup.

I fear that the network admin could pick up what I have on my computer.

I tried the "Stop sharing" menu option in the management of the computer, but when I run my computer next time, all readers (and the Windows folder) are shared again. I have to repeat the action whenever I start my computer.

How can I disable it?

-------------------------

PS. Sorry for my English.

Thanks for the help, but I found the solution by myself.

The problem was caused by the Server Service. I don't know who the turned on, but after I turned off and prevented from starting automatically, all my actions have disappeared.

Thanks again.

How to make windows require a password during the installation of new programs?

    Hello

You will not be able to circumvent the password that appears before the execution of actions (installing a new program) in a non administrator account.  If you are logged on as administrator, and again, you get the command prompt, you can disable UAC (User Account Control) to stop the password dialog window.

However, as a work around you can right-click on the installation of the program files and select run as administrator. Check if this is useful.

    Hi Defiant1950,

To add more hard disk space, the simplest method is to attach an external hard drive. If you add an external hard disk, it can't function as your primary hard disk where you install Windows, but you can use it as a secondary disk to store programs and files. Adding an external hard drive is a good way to create plenty of extra space to store the digital photos, videos, music and other files that require a large amount of disk space.

To install an external hard drive, all you have to do is plug it into your computer and connect the power supply cable. Most of these hard disks plug into a USB port, but some connect to a Firewire (also known as IEEE 1394) or external SATA (eSATA) port. For additional instructions, see the documentation that came with your external hard drive. You will also need to install a software that came with the hard drive.
