  an ASCII (probably the csv format) file is just text - and contains all data (intentially) written to. There is no special function to include units or whatever!

  Your colleague must save the information it records the names and values in the same way...

  (When writing to text files, it could use WriteTextFile, FormatIntoFile, WriteToSpreadsheetFile, WriteBinaryFile even could serve...)

  By default, the path expression is evaluated once at the beginning.  However, there are 2 ways to force another assessment at the end:

  1. include the macro in your expression of path of the report.  This macro can only be evaluated once the executing State is known
  
  
  2. In the sequence to calculate the report of the NI_ReportGenerator.seq plugin path, set Parameters.ReportOptions.NewFileNameForEachUUTStatus to true before the first, if the statement is evaluated.  This replaces the UUTStatus macro check and force the revaluation.

  What second time I send only Y but not X. In this implementation of the scenario of VO throw an exception, given that the variable X is already created in the VO object and where clause does not have this setting.
  
  So how to remove variables created in the original Version all in definedNamedWhereClauseParam(). I need to erase what ever the previously created variable every time I execute method.
  
  I can make the similar functionlity using setWhereClauseParam (using literals). But I have a few technical restrictions for use.

  AS3 does not directly support global variables, like its predecessors, but there are ways around it. Without going through the overall road, to communicate from a child object to a parent the normal approach in AS3 object would (literally)...

  Alternatively, you can create a world class and use that. If you save the following in a file named "global.as" in your class path (or file that your project is the folder), you can use the variable in a global sense, while importing the class where it is needed:

  Note that this approach is used if you have bind variable in the where clause.

  To set variables bind to ViewCriteria, you must use VarableValueManager.

• How to name a block of text to use textFrames.getByName?

  I think it's a pretty simple question, but I can't find examples explaining how to name the text block, so I can use the getByName feature.

  Right now I'm using a loop for to go through all the text frames and find a corresponding to a text string, but I am afraid that by random chance, that same text string will get used in a graphic and the script will change the incorrect text.

  Figured it out! I can quote the textframe in the layers panel so I show details for the layer that the textframe I want feeds. It defaults to the content of the textframe unless you call it in the layers panel, that's why when I tried to find a name, I wouldn't get a! Once I changed it on the layers panel, I could call him by his name! Sussed this out of one of your previous posts of Carlos, so thank you again for all that you give on these forums!
