  I don't think that you can easily do, apart from maybe a customized version of the form with a customized view of the underlying data.

  The problem you have is that data are presented on the screen with a view; in the definition of the view, part of the join to retrieve condition meaning object will be based on the presence of a code corresponding to the hr_lookups to get the code that represents the object. So, even if you took out of the logic of the field research (assuming that it is even possible to do), there is a high probability that the data 'free format' will not be found in any question.

  I have an old forms application that opens a connection to the database with the user name and password typed by the user in the login screen. Therefore, each user of the application has its own user database.

  Traditionally, this application was performed with the client-server model but not it is deployed in server of BCI. We would like therefore to take advantage of the resources of the BCI to open the connection to database with a username/password unique name, which would be set up somewhere on the server and then eliminate some problems of security that we have.

  Is it possible to do this? How can I code the application to obtain/request a new connection and how do I set this up in the server? I wonder if the key 'userid', under the Web Configuration of my instance of forms, should have the password configured.

  Notes:

  • SSO: I am aware of the BCI has UNIQUE authentication features, but we are not interested in SSO now (unless some SSO-related features can help me).
  • authentication: my request would be to validate the name of user and password typed in the login against a specific user directory screen, owner of my company. I didn't need BCI to have capabilities to integrate with my own home directory of the user, because I can code this validation manually and easily in the login screen.

  You can set the connection in the formsweb.cfg as

  UserID=User/Password@sid

  in this way, that the connection is established automatically. Still, it would open a dedicated connection for each user, I don't know if you can use something like a connectionpool on Weblogic.

  All your messages are stored in dbx files and open with OE. Be more specific.

  After compaction, items sent is empty? If so, check the Recycle Bin (not deleted messages) and the message OE for a sent file Items.bak store. If you find one, post back before doing anything.

  Nikon (NEF), Canon (CR2) raw or other camera manufacturers files all have to go through the plug in Camera Raw. An older camera, for example, have already taken raw files supported by the camera raw plugin you already have installed (since you can't install the update). A new camera may require that one of the most recent updates and you can run into the same issue. However, PSE14 will come with the latest version of the camera raw plugin pre-installed, so you shouldn't have problems with your camera in this version.

  You can't do that, and you need to clean up the previous installation according to the docs referenced in my previous answer, and then perform a new installation.
