How to open my file after ' cannot find - filename-"error message?
OK, the bottom line is, InDesign crashes and I can't recover my file. I get a "File not found" error message when I try to open the file.
I use CS6 on a MacBookAir, OS X Yosemite.
I tried to find the "InDesignFileRecovery" folder, I can not find anywhere, is not in my file library or Caches.
However, I work in dropbox, so I headed over to dropbox to recover from their "previous versions". It starts to get weird. There are a lot of versions (I back up very regularly), but when I download a previous version (I know was fine) it downloads with the extension indd.txt. So I remove the txt extension and keep the indd and everything seems fine, but then that recovered file gives the same message. I tried renaming the file opening and recovered that same "file not found" error message.
I can open InDesign and open the file from the previous day, but nothing of the box of older versions of work this day of. I'm SO sick of what's going on. It happened to me last week, so far I lost 20 hours work :-(
I tried quit InDesign and restart the Mac, does not help. The only thing I can think of is to "save under" every two hours, at least, if all goes well then I lose only 2 hours of work.
I found the answer on another thread. The solution is to open in InDesign and when you select the file to open, choose "open copy". It worked! Cannot believe it. Still don't know why dropbox tactics did not work well...

Please help me!
I have HP Windows Vista Home Basic 32-bit. Cannot open .exe files. I get the error message by side configuration is incorrect. In the event log, it says error in manifest or policy file as a component version required by the application in conflict with one another component version already active. The two components are: c: Program Files\Viewer\Microsoft.VC80.CRT.MANIFEST.
Problems arise when I deleted some files (don't remember which) I am now myself for kicks. Then I completely restored my system with a restore cd, upgrading to vista, downloaded all the updates and everything else works fine only problem is the opening of .exe files. Can someone please help? I'm no computer wiz only right following the indications :)
Thank you.

Windows cannot find not (Error Message)
Windows cannot find not (Error Message)
Links in Windows Mail = "File not found"... "in IE9
I use Windows Vista Home Premium; Windows Mail; IE9. -Links browser does not work in Windows Mail - IE9 opens and is left blank with an Error Message in a small window saying:
Title: http://click.scrippsnetworks.com/track?type...
Body says: "Windows cannot find
... subscription/8080/subscribeUpdate? brand... »
"Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again."(details vary with each different link)
If I have IE9 open before clicking on the link Windows Mail, everything works as it should. This problem occurs only if IE9 is not displayed when the user clicks on the link Windows Mail.It worked before using clear CCcleaner on cookies and other temporary files, etc. I think I must have messed up something in the registry.
Hello
Method 1: I recommend you perform the clean boot.
See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

Note: After a repair, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.
Method 2: Try a system restore:
Restoration of the system of windows vista DVD:
Put the computer to an earlier point in time when the computer was working fine.
1. Insert the installation disc.
2. restart your computer.
Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.
3. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
5. click on repair your computer.
6. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
7. in the System Recovery Options menu, click System Restore and follow the instructions.

How to open encropted files after formatting my PC
Dear Sir.
I format my PC, but after that I get to open files
can u pls help me
Concerning
Waleed
If you make reference to encrypted files using EFS Windows filesystem and you do not save your credentials or create a recovery agent, and then you certainly cannot recover the files.
According to what you have done since the formatting the drive, it is possible that Advanced EFS Data Recovery Professional http://www.elcomsoft.com/aefsdr.html may be able to help. It is not free.

Windows Media Player will not play the .mp4 files after installation IE10 - BEX error message
Hello! Recently, when I tried to read a file .mp4 on Windows Media Player, the player would immediately stop working and tell me that he could not play this type of file, even if the day before he could do so without any problem. I had an option to close the program or click to more information, so when I clicked for more information, he gave me this:Signature of the problem:Problem event name: BEXApplication name: wmplayer.exeApplication version: 12.0.7601.17514Application timestamp: 4ce7a485Fault Module name: StackHash_0a9eFault Module Version: 0.0.0.0Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000Exception offset: 00000000Exception code: c0000005Exception data: 00000008OS version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1Locale ID: 1033Additional information 1: 0a9eMore information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789Additional information 3: 0a9eAdditional information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789Back to a system restore point previous fixed the problem and I could again play the files in Media Player, but during the night that Windows updates installed and the morning I could not play these .mp4 files once more. So I restored to a point earlier, changed my updates so that they are is more automatic and by installing each day at a time, I finally isolated the problem in Internet Explorer 10. If I install that, just Windows Media Player will not play these files.I tried a manual update of Internet Explorer 10, turn off all the options of toolbars shit and everything, thinking that when it automatically installs those who may be included, but that has not helped. Had to go back to my previous IE10 restore point. So no matter what, Internet Explorer 10 kills my ability to play .mp4 on Windows Media Player files.I don't have toolbars running on IE9 at all.I know that's obvious answer is 'do not install Internet Explorer 10' or if I do, download another player for .mp4 files. But the fact is, it shouldn't happen, it is indicative of something being wrong, and I would like TO be able to install Internet Explorer 10 AND use Windows Media Player to play these files. If someone else has had this problem, or know a way to fix it?Here are my system specs:Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bitIntel Core i5 - 3350P @ 3.10 GHz CPUASRock H77M LGA 1155 motherboard8 GB DDR3 240 - Pin SD RAMDiamond Radeon HD 7870PE52GV 7870 GHz video cardAnd all my programs are installed on this:SAMSUNG series Pro 840 MZ-7PD256BW 2.5 "256GB SATA III MLC internal Solid State DriveI'd appreciate any help you can provide! Thank you!!It sounds like your question. I think you should uninstall this update andhide and see if that solves your problem. Please report.BarbMVP - Windows/entertainment and connected homePlease mark as answer if that answers your questionI tried myself after experiencing the same problem and error code. I uninstalled the KB2670838 update, and then my Windows Media Player finally worked again. I also found that IE 10 must be uninstalled as well. Installation of IE 10 also automatically installs the update of KB2670838 platform. After uninstalling KB2670838, IE 10 automatically uninstall with it, better you hide two updates so that they do not install again. From the link in the previous post, I learned that the platform update is having problems of conflict with the AMD drivers. Good luck to you and hope this helps.

Photoshop cannot open the file because of a program error
Hello friends.
I have a problem with Photoshop CS
When I open the file it I get the error message: Photoshop can not open the file because of a program error
How do I stop this error? Please send me something to fix Photoshop.
Kind regards
Kevin
Hey Kevin,
Uninstall Photoshop, as well as previous CS versions to avoid any interference with your current version. Adobe offers a tool to remove completely all the CS to your computer files. Once you have uninstalled these, reinstall Photoshop and apply the program updates. If it's useless trying Photoshop difficulty Toolbox https://www.fixtoolbox.com/photoshopfix.html
This application can restore data from all versions of Adobe Photoshop.
Good luck.

Hello
I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.
- Form when you try to open pictures? Is it in Photo Viewer?
- What type of files you are trying to open?
- You are able to open the photos in the Photos App?
- What is the brand and model of the computer?
- You did changes to the computer before this problem?
I suggest you to try the steps below and see if it helps you to solve the problem.
Method 1: Run the utility to search and index and check.
a. press the Windows key + X and click on Control Panel.
b. click on Troubleshooting.
c. Select display all on the upper left corner.
d. perform research and solving problems of indexing.
Method 2: Restart the Windows Search service and check.
(a) press Windows + R key and type "services.msc" and press ENTER.

Method 3: If the problem persists, I suggest you to run a full scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner (MSS) to ensure that the computer is virus-free.
The Microsoft Safety Scanner free is a downloadable security tool that allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malicious software. It works with your current antivirus software.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

How to restore my files after resetting my computer?
original title: how iget back my files after resetting my computer?
I recently had to resett my computer after trying to go wireless, my broadband provider sent me a defective router and my laptop just crashed! I had to restore it back to factory settings and judt wondering if there is any chance of getting my pictures back and my itunes library and files?
If you have an installation clean back to factory settings, you normally wiped your hard drive clean during the process.
You can try this program:
http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/Recuva.html
Recuva is a file undeletion tool that allows you to analyze your hard drives or media cards for files that have been deleted or formatted. It presents you a list of files that have been found, as well as an assessment of their potential for recovery, a preview option, and a hex viewer to inspect the content. You can limit your search to files of a certain type (e.g. images, audio etc.) and choose between a quick and a thorough analysis approach. The program also includes a secure deletion option that allows you to permanently delete files that were found while parsing, to avoid any future recoveries.
