• Test.FMX does not... How to operate

  I put the formsweb.cfg and default.env files in the linux machine. And when I run the test.fmx in the linux machine, it says could not connect to the server.
  
  I even tried accessing from a client machine (XP). the error still occurs.
  
  (1) now I want to know how to run the test.fmx file.
  
  (2) I also want to know how to run the other fmx file compiled in the version of linux that is stored in a folder myproj.

  This seems a little confusing. It is easy enough to dismiss a question or listener network problem fairly quickly. If you get an error like "can't connect", this means that the port is incorrect, or the IP address is incorrect or queries are blocked. First of all, understand that Developer Suite is intended for single-user use on a local computer. It is not intended for access to the network or access multiuser (simultaneous). This does not mean we cannot do, it simply means that Oracle will provide only limited support if you do not properly use the product.

  That said, let's go back to the point. From the machine where ID is installed and OC4J running (Linux), open a browser and enter the following command:

  http://localhost: 8888/j2ee

  If it doesn't, it is likely that the oc4j listener is not running. This would also explain why all your other attempts fail. OC4J may be crashing or you may be inadvertently stop it. Until you can solve this problem, it is useless to try to access the url forms.

  If it worked, you will see the homepage of j2ee. You can now try to access the forms from the same machine using the same methodology.
  If the above has worked

  http://localhost: 8888/forms/frmservlet

  If it worked (+ this implies that you have a JRE installed and configured with your browser +) and a form is displayed you have now confirmed that oc4j is running and your configuration of forms is basically correct.

  Now try to access from a remote machine. If this fails, my first statement is likely correct. The IP address, you are trying to use is incorrect, or the machine blocks requests. Just because you can test the box from a remote machine does not mean that it will accept applications leading to port 8888. These can be blocked at the level of the operating system or by an outer layer (firewall, proxy, etc.).

  Hi all
  can we get the name of the fmx file that performs a DML operation on a specific table, we can back track which fmx module did DML on a specific table. The reason why I need it because I have 7 fmx different files that make a DML operation on a specific table and these fmx files are used by different users. Not necessarily 1:1 for example. a user can do DML through 3 fmx different files. So in this case if I want to want to know what FMX file that DML has take place. How can I achieve that. I know I can get the oracle via session username $ v, but it is not enough for my needs. I need also the name of the fmx file.

  For this, you can set the Module field in the V$ session in each form

  DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO.SET_MODULE(MODULE_NAME => :SYSTEM.CURRENT_FORM, ACTION_NAME => USER);
  

  Write this in every form, and you will get the name of the form in the module field in the V$ SESSION form name.

  Have you tried using SafeMode w/command invites to perform a system restore?

  1. Press the power button to turn on the computer.
  2. In the first screen, press the f8 key repeatedly every half second until what the Windows Advanced Startup Options screen displays.
     
  3. Press the arrow key down until Safe Mode with command prompt is selected, and then press ENTER. Wait while the Windows Load system files. The Windows log on screen is displayed.
  4. At the command prompt, type rstrui.exe, and then press ENTER. Wait a few moments for the system to open restore window.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to perform a system restore.

  You have now returned the computer to a previous restore point using Mode safe mode with command prompt.

  Make a bunch of audio files, placed in a folder on my desktop. Files initially sent to RealPlayer to burn, but when finished burning CD and went to read a CD, folder got seized by Media Player, 'Indexed' and disappeared from the office. I'm a relatively new computer user, and I need to learn more about file paths, how to view the path FULL of a file on my computer and how to type (create) full path when I need to. The "Indexing" feature seems to erase this lesson for me, and after having spent four hours trying to find Vista instructions on "How to move the file from one place to another", I gave up! Windows 'Help and Support' on my computer gives wrong directions. It states that if I right click on a folder > properties, a dialog box opens with a tab by which I can move my account. There is no tab location here. I found locations tab when right click on the "Mobile" folder, but still no option to "move file". No idea what is the folder "Roaming" or why it's on my computer. I want my audio files in the My Music folder, but this place is "access denied." Don't know how to get the audio file it in any case, but if anyone has any advice, I would be very happy! Thank you. PS - I had no problem moving folders in XP. I don't like the idea that a computer is to decide where to put my files. I want to control where I put my files. I don't like the way search works under Vista. I liked the XP search companion better because, for a computer fool like me, it was really easy to organize and find files and folders and had an option specific to find audio and video file TYPES.

  When I compile the module (CTRL + T), FMX file is generated in the same folder where the FMB.

  'No' - as far as I know.

  Only, we tend to always work in the same directory and then just copy off the coast in a directory of execution.

  Built system is managed in the batch (ie: a .bat file) and it will copy the off fmxs to the appropriate execution directory that I use.
