When a program is open and minimized in the Notification area, the list should be created automatically in the «Current items» list Similarly, when you close the program, it is entry list under "recent items".

  • The HP ENVY TS m7 laptop: how to make an HP Support Assistant icon to appear in the Notification area of the taskbar Windows 10?

I am running Windows 10 (x 64) (build 10586) on my laptop HP ENVY TS of m7 with HP Support Assistant 8.1.40.3. I'm used to seeing the blue Support Assistant of circular background of question mark icon located on the right side of my taskbar Windows in the notification area, just to the right of the up-carat for 'display the icons '.

However, about 2 days ago the Assistant to support automatically downloaded and installed the latest version of himself. The '? ' icon disappears from the notification area of the task bar and appeared to place on my desk. I clicked on the desktop, and then click icon on "PIN to Desktop". It pinned icon Assistant decision-making support on the left side of my taskbar with icons for Windows Store File Explorer and other icons open programs.

I tried just dragging the icon Wizard help to the right of the Notification area of the taskbar, but that cannot be done. Please give me detailed instructions on how to get back the icon wizard helps to where I'm used to seeing.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello

Another option, you may need to check is the following.

    Launch of HP Support Assistant.

Click the gable of parameters to the upper right.

In the following Panel, make sure the "show an icon in the taskbar" entry (see the option highlighted in the image below) is checked - if not, click in the box enter a tick, then click on the "Save" button.

  • How to increase the size of the icons in the notification area (lower right corner of the XP taskbar)

For some reason when I booted up my laptop, the icons were tiny and too small for my eyes. I think it was related to the installation of TestOut LabSim software on the laptop, because I noticed that the problem after doing so.

I was not yet aware that it was possible to adjut the size fo the icons in the notification area. All the links I found affect the icons in the start menu, or quick launch menu, but not the notification area.
The notification area is now two-lines, if it used only one, but the size of the taskbar has not changed. My DPI settings are always set to 'large '. The display resolution is unchanged.

The thing where you right-click the taskbar, choose 'Properties', then click on "Start menu", then customize, then choosing "large icons" is only the start, not the notification area menu. It is also already on large icons.
In addition, the thing where you right click on the Quick Launch bar and ends by choose "large icons" affects only the Quick Launch bar, not the right notification icons.

How do I do the large icons again so I can actually see them? My eyes are not more perfect, and I would rather not be squinting when using my laptop. I think seriously increase the DPI to 150% in its current form.

    Hi bhermance,

    Method 1

Try the steps mentioned below and see if it helps.

one) to open display, click Start, click Control Panel, click appearance and themes, and then click display.

    (b) click on the appearance tab, then Advanced.

    (c) now select buttons of legend in the list of items and increase the size.

    (d) click OK and apply

    Check if that helps.

    Method 2

If the previous step fails, then I suggest that you uninstall TestOut LabSim software of the computer and check if it helps.

Whenever I start an icon composed of the white black '9' in a field number appears in the Notification area of my desktop tool bar.

Whenever I start, I have 'customize' on the toolbar and "hide" icon.  It always comes back.

Apparently, it has no function.  Make a right click on it, in the hope of finding an option 'discard', produces no response.

How can I delete the icon?

  • How to reduce the coverage area

    Hello

We have our office in a campus IT several floors with other businesses in the area. We plan to go wireless in the whole of the Office (full 1 floor). Can we do anything to reduce the signal from outside the offices in order to avoid the attacks/hacks? We use 1240AP.

Outside the use of security, I want o know how to reduce the coverage area... the parameters of power etc.?

    Thank you

There are a few things that can help.

Placement of the AP, down the power, by cutting basic-rate further down to shrink the cell, using directional antennas to better focus the signal and the deployment of obstacles that affect signals (sheet Tin, plants, people, etc.).

It will take some creativity, planning and measurement

When I installed Logitech V450 Laser Cordless Mouse and the Epson Stylus CX7400 series printer icons have been added to the my taskbar notification area tasks that alerted me to the battery low, low ink, etc..  I accidentally deleted those icons, move items currently in the list of elements icon that appears behind the click with the right button on the notification area of the taskbar, and go to properties/notification/customize box.  I tried left click, right click, and changing the behavior of these two items to display and nothing that I will not move them.  Help!  What can I do short of uninstalling and reinstalling programs that thought of makes me nervous.

Thank you for your response back!

Sorry you still have a problem with that!  I suggest trying to remove (Logitech V450 Laser Cordless Mouse and printer Epson Stylus CX7400 series) and then reinstall these devices to see if it will add the icons back.  Please let us know status.  Thank you!
