How to place my Documents shortcut on the taskbar in Windows 7.

I create a shortcut on the desktop to My Documents and if I double click on the shortcut on the desktop it works fine and displays the My Documents folder.

I drag the icon My Documents of the Bureau on the taskbar and if I click on the icon in the taskbar, it displays the libraries folder and I then go to My Documents.

How to make a shortcut to My Documents on the taskbar so that it immediately displays the My Documents folder instead of the folder of libraries?

Hello

-Right click on the desktop and select ""New-> shortcut " "

- He will start the Wizard "create a shortcut".

-Type Explorer shell: My Documents

-After entering the command, click on the button "Next". Now, enter a meaningful name for your new shortcut and click on the button "Finish".

-Now to pin this new shortcut to the taskbar. You can be drag-and - drop the shortcut to the taskbar or right-click on the shortcut and select "Pin to Taskbar".

I have already in XP to create a shortcut for a network on the desktop drive and then create an icon with a program icon for the associated drawing letter that drive (e.g., P for projects), F for finance, etc. and to associate this icon with the shortcut.  Then I could drag and drop this shortcut right in the task bar and voila - a big letter indicating the network drive I could then single click on my desired disc.  It's simple, fast and convenient.  Now, in Windows 7, I can't and drag that shortcut on the taskbar.  Anyone know of a workaround?

  • Firefox creates a Documents shortcut in the taskbar when I download files

Firefox can create a new shortcut of 'Documents' in my taskbar every time I have to download a file.
I remove it, and then it does it again. How to stop?

    This has happened

    A few times a week

== A month or two it is

OK, that has helped to solve. Temporarily, I changed the setting to "back up files on" and changed the folder ' save files to "to:

    Documents C:\Users\My

Then I reset the downloads to 'Always ask me where to save files.'

Not sure why it creates a new folder for an option greyed out, but at least it no longer occurs.

    Thank you!

How to create a document and insert the words and/or art on both sides of the page

You create a document by using an application of word processor like Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect or OpenOffice Writer.  Think of it as a broad a page roll.

When you print the document, you can print all pages of the document on one sheet of paper (the normal default value), or you can print on both sides of a sheet of paper.

Some printers are capable of automatic double-sided printing.  With others, you print all the odd pages and then take the stack of paper, turn upside down and put it back into the printer to print all pages.  You need either to read your printer manual, or experiment a bit to determine if you need to re - organize the first last pages before printing the second side.

  • I can't pin shortcuts to Documents, images, and the taskbar Control Panel. They go only in Windows Explorer?

Clear since back with Win 98, I used the Quick Launch bar downstairs to give me quick access to my most used programs while keeping open the windows that I use, so I was happy to Win 7 as supposed that this would finally make a correctly recognized feature.  However, I find only programs can actually be pinned it.  I don't want these three things hiding inside Windows Explorer, what makes 2 clicks result instead of 1.  Am I missing something simple (which is possible)!  I can get the shortcuts on the desktop is there a way to then pin the taskbar shortcuts instead?

    Hi skyreburn,

This is how the Windows 7 pin feature. Personally, I would like an option that allows you to pin folders separated rather than adding it under the Solution Explorer icon. You can accomplish what you want with a hack (sort of), pinning an executable, and by changing the way target the question later. For more information, see this article.

  • Shortcut on the desktop for Windows Defender

Hello. I have Windows 7 starter on my netbook and want to create a shortcut on the desktop for Windows Defender. However, it does not appear as a program in the start menu and the option to display the control panel more big or small icons is greyed out (i.e., not available in starter edition), I don't see the program on the control panel or the other. The only way I can get to it is to type in 'Defender' in the search field in the start menu or the search field on the control panel. Although one of these actions will locate Windows Defender, they do not provide me the ability to create a shortcut for the application. I tried searching in Program Files on the C drive and found him, but did not know which file right-click on the folder to create a shortcut file. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

Second, Windows Defender is updated analysis scheduled around 02:00 every morning, but my computer isn't on then, I expect to do a scan automatically the next day when I turned the computer back on. He did not do that and always displays the last analysis as being the manual I did the day before. Is it possible to get auto-start if it misses its slot 02,00 regular?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Thank you both for responding: I did click right and do drag the thing like that seemed simpler and it worked: thank you. Are you able to let me know how to get the Defender to make an auto scan when I turn on the computer if it misses its slot 02,00?

    Thank you.

  • Adding shortcut to the taskbar

    Hi all

Is it possible to add a shortcut to the taskbar without using thinreg? I can add to the list of desktop computers and the program but it will not appear on the taskbar, currently I have this line in my package.ini:

    Shortcuts = % programs %; %D esktop %; %APPDATA%\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar

I don't know if the part in bold is a legitimate place, because usually that's where the natively installed IE8 version would have a shortcut. Should I provide a different path location?

Our VDI desktop environment is Windows 7.

    Kind regards

    Ross

    Ross,

According to my understanding, ThinApp can be only if deployed PIN using MSI and does not for streaming from a network share.
