How to plan daily anti-virus

How to plan daily anti-virus

All the antivirus packages must be scanning disk reads and writes continuously in any case so always have a running background task. This task can then engage a full or file system scan on a schedule set as you like and many do this weekly by default.

There is no point trying to force a separate task to scan the disc through the planner that you would be duplicating the same scan engine.

Where did you get the drivers from?

If MSE is down, then it is probably a problem!

There should be no need to turn off the anti-virus to install the drivers.

There is no need to install ANY drivers for ANY router.

  • I have 2 problems-how can I activate my Add ons and how to uninstall Windows Anti Virus. I need help, please.

I have Windows XP 32-bit with IE8 Add ons.  I mainly use Firefox Mozilla for my browser and Yahoo as my home page.  Anyway, I have tried all the support and help guide and technicians told me to do to get add ons to open and activate but in vain.  This computer was given to me as a profession, and it was used in a Bank, so I think that the system administrator has disabled the add ons.  I myself as an administrator and use the tips and tricks given windows and Microsoft, but I always run up a wall.  I need help, please.
I also need to know how to uninstall Windows antivirus software.  I can't find anywhere on my computer.  I feel really stupid and he is probably right in front of my face, but I can't find it to uninstall.  I have McAfee that I paid dearly for if I want to use it until it expires.

This "Microsoft antivirus' witness (AKA Trojan W32/FakeAlert) hijackware infection!

If you manage to somehow move to Win7, you will always have an infected computer.

The ONLY way to solve the problem is by formatting the current hard drive and do a clean installation of Windows, whether it is WinXP or Win7.

The ONLY way you can do a clean install of Windows XP if you have disks that came with the computer or if by chance, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the system restore).

If your kids er - well & their spouses are going to spend money on a new HARD drive, they'be be better spend on a low-end Windows 7 computer and brand-new (for example, a netbook or a mini).

NB: Any data on your Windows XP computer must be considered 100% reliable! (This includes all of your usernames and passwords, for example, those used for online banking, etc.) You do NOT want to put ALL the data from Windows XP to a new computer or HARD disk.

Good luck, Grandma. Hope that your grandchildren will treat you better than their parents.

  • How to activate an anti-virus that is transformed - SOLUTION

I have XP sp3 and run MS essentials exclusively.  My firewall is turned on, my automatic updates are turned on.  Antivirus comes spontaneously turned off itself and there seems to be no way to turn it back on.

After the failure of a lot of troubleshooting that included download manually 3 new updates security indicated in the taskbar and restarting my computer (both running automatic updates), I found the solution by trial and error.

    HERE'S A SIMPLE SOLUTION:

    • Open the MS Essentials (green "tent") icon in the taskbar.
    • Click the updates tab.
    • Do a manual update by clicking on the button update.
    • My Antivirus is back on.

Either by the way, I had read at least 10 other answers to forum about this problem, but responses were irrelevant or useless (links to the download & MS items or questions on other AV software Center when the customer has already declared MSE is already installed, & no other AV.)  Or even more drastic - suggestions of a computer virus. (The answer may actually be much easier than a virus or have to do a new download.)

I hope that the moderators will read this and offer the solution above as a simple solution of first line before other more drastic measures or of long duration (like new MSE downloads). No offense to the moderators - I know you are trying to help and enjoy us.  I blame more on there is not not a reactivation of the virus protection utility button.

I hope this solution is helpful and useful and other spare parts the same sense of frustration and wasted time + that I have lived.

    BE PROTECTED! :)

You must use this post (or relevant parts of it) as a response.  If it can help solve the problem, hopefully, the original that have requested assistance poster mark it as such.

Then replace it with your proposed answer.   If this solves it maybe IronMan is mark it as the answer.
And if you did that initially I him have not posted in the thread above.
It has worked for you, so it should work for other institutions.
But you need some feedback from posters who see this issue on their computer rather than you and talk to me.
    Good luck
  • How to know which anti-virus software is installed on the computer

want to find the State of the computer so I can see what antivirus software is on my computer

Click on Start then run and in the Open: box type wscui.cpl and then OK or Enter. This will open Security Center. Click on the double arrows next or Off for the Virus Protection to display that this case, the antivirus program is installed.

To determine if other security software can be installed, you can consider using AppRemover. It's main function is specifically for uninstalling security software, but you need only to scan to determine what programs exist.

  • BlackBerry smartphones, how can I get anti-virus for my BlackBerry 9320 OS: 7.1 software, build software: 1011?

Is not not aware if I got any AV software on my Smartphone (BlackBerry 9320 OS: 7.1, build software: 1011), I tried a bunch of F-Secure (via Virgin Media) which offers licenses for up to 5 elements, such as a PC, tablets, Smartphones.

I installed successfully SECURITY F-Secure on my PC. However when I tried to download the software on my Smartphone, of http://mobile.f-secure.com/virgin/ms_virginmedia.apk (provided by SMS from the SECURITY F-Secure Portal) I kept getting the message on my Smartphone. "Unsupported media type: application/zip '.

The online discussions with F-Secure revealed that they did not have AV software for my Blackberry model. I found it very surprising because it is a common model and F-Secure seems to provide the AV software for almost all other models. But there it is. My question is: how should I do to install AV software on my BlackBerry 9320 OS: 7.1, build software: 1011?

    Hello

    ·         What anti-virus program do you use?

I'd contact the antivirus software provider you support the site and check how to activate the antivirus.

Windows are not preloaded with any anti-virus program. You must download and install a. You can try to install the latest free software provided by Microsoft called Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus program and check if it helps.

To get rid of the current problem you can restore your system to the State it was before the infection if you have made the system images.  Otherwise, see SpiritX advice in How to remove spyware from the computer

You can use Microsoft Security Essentials in the future with an anti-spyware application [many are recommended in other threads].
