How to prevent auto login? I never NEVER save passwords, yet FF connect to gmail without connection request.

I never save passwords - never have, never will be. Misusing IE Gmail work properly in he ask me for ID and password for each new instance of the browser. Yet, when I opened gmail with FF, it goes directly to my Inbox without asking for password or id I use gmail in mode "always safe." Cookies are enabled, of course, all did not expect my password to be saved and loaded a cookie. How can I fix this problem?

Hello Shrek.

First of all, Let's clarify things: when you save a password in Firefox, it is stored in your computerand is not shared or downloaded anywhere. He has also encrypted so only Firefox can be read (i.e. the automatically use full passwords) and away from the prying eyes of malware, viruses and whatnot. Save your password for Firefox is completely safe and this password will be available for someone who users your Firefox profile. If you want to have different Firefox profiles for different users, please read this article.

However, when you ask a site to 'connect you automatically', it has absolutely nothing to do with the Firefox password manager. When you request a site always connect you to sites stores a cookie in your browser (in this case, Firefox and not other browsers may have installed or Firefox on other computers – unless you have them synchronized with Firefox Sync) that site will use whenever you visit to see if your logged in or not. This cookie is exactly the same kind of technology that a website uses to determine if you are connected at all. Without cookies (that is, if you have disabled cookies), you must be connected permanently, because the site won't be able to remember you already connect to. This makes more, if not all, sites that require you to you connect completely useless.

If you don't want to be always connected to a given site, simply do not always connect. You may need to sign out and sign in again to tell him that, but it's a question of ease of use of the site, not with Firefox.

  • How to prevent the login page in the same browser when the user is already authenticated

    Hello

I use Jdev 11.1.1.6 with ADF implemented in my application security.

I have Login.jspx that redirects the user to Home.jspx on a successful authentication. The user can either enter the URL of the Home Page or Login.

    Please consider the following scenarios:

    (a) the user is not authenticated in the current browser session

(a.1) if the user enters the URL of the home page and the login page is displayed and redirected to the homepage on authentication

(a.2) if the user enters the login page URL, then the login page is displayed and redirected to the homepage on authentication

    (b) the user is already authenticated in the current browser session, a new tab opens and

(b.1) if the user enters the URL of the homepage then it shows directly the (already authenticated) Homepage

(b.2) if the user enters Login URL then connect a page appears - This is the issue, it should either user to the homepage or invalidate the existing session and let users to proceed again.

How do I get there? Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

the authentication check must be in a phase listener or servlet filter. If you use a phase listener and the homepage and login have a link associated with the ADF (PageDef file) then in the phase AFTER RESTORE_VIEW, you can use AdfContext.getCurrent () .getSecurityContext () .isAuthenticated () to tell if a user is authenticated or not.

  • How to prevent users from installing new programs in Windows 7

    Hello

I need to prevent users to install (and download) of new programs in Windows 7. I am responsible for three computers. They are not on one network (other than the internet, of course).

I read the article "How to prevent users from installing new programs in Windows 7" but I'm not sure what choice to make when I get to the choice of Windows Installer. I'm also not quite know how to cancel that so I can install the software when I have to. I've never done this if I want to be very careful.

    Can anyone help?

    Many thanks,

Are their accounts 'Administrator' or 'Standard' user level?

If they are directors of the machine, and then create a new Admin account (only you know the password) and then lower their Standard user accounts. If they attempt to install programs now it should be prompted to enter the Admin password that they won't.

    User accounts - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2663817

Also see http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/299-user-account-control-uac-change-notification-settings.html for info UAC - and adjust the required level.

If their accounts are accounts administrator and for some reason must be a competent user, then will probably be able to undo everything you put up anyway.

  • Auto Login & re-use of thick Clients XP

    Hiy guy

I have a couple on client view interesting issues with that I would appreciate the help.

First our View 5 to a customer, and they are re-use of heavy XP clients to connect to the VDI Windows 7 desktop.

Now, unlike most places these heavy Xp clients will have a dual use of office for VDI VDI users but an Office XP normal thickness for users who do not use VDI. Consider Hot Desks with some users using VDI and others not.

Now, we imagined a way to have a machine start-up and using login scripts to determine when they user logs on the Client heavy if they are a VDI user then the VIEW CLIENT launches automatically and connect to a virtual desktop.  If not a VDI user, then they connect to the office full thick as usual.

Questions arise and here is what I need help with.

    1st edition.
The login script calls the command line to View Client ("C:\Program VMware View\Client\bin\wswc.exe ' - loginascurrentuser true - serverurl" NAME of the BROKER "-"NOM_DU_POOL"- non-interactive desktopname) and launches the VDI Windows 7 Office seamless to the user.  View 5 it seems to always choose a desktop, even if you could only qualify for a pool of offices. We want to remove the switch - desktopname from the command line and to have the desk they are assigned automatically started. It worked in previous versions, if you were only entitled to one office the office launched automatically.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do that?

    2nd edition.

When you press CTRL + ALT + DELETE on Windows 7's VDI desktop session thick office took over. We do not want to do and if a user presses CTRL + ALT + DELETE in a VDI session action is sent to the virtual desktop and is ignored by the Office of THICKNESS.

Anyone now how this can be done? Don't forget the Office THICK must be able to operate normally not used with VDI.

    Any help would be greatfull.

I agree on question 1. There is a setting on some client machines zero to auto login if the user has right to one office, but I don't know how it is actually. I guess you can use PowerCLI for display to find on which pool (s) the user has the right to use and then use the results of this query in the script to launch if there is only a single payment. Something along the lines of the example Get-User-name 'mydom\fred ' | Get-PoolEntitlement might work, but I'm not familiar enough with the commands PowerCLI to say with certainty. This could be a starting point, however.

As for question 2, there is no way to disable CTRL + ALT + DELETE on the XP machines if there is a requirement that they function normally when not used as VDI client machines, if this isn't an option. There is a GPO settings in the pcoip.adm model to ' disable sending CAD when users, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE "which would at least prevent the users to send the same sequence of keys at the same time the desktop view and the XP machine at the same time. They would still be able to send CAD to the XP computer, but would have to use CTRL + ALT + INS in the Office of the view in this way. This only apply to users using PCoIP however and would have no effect on the RDP sessions. I agree with mittim12 it's more a user education issue that everything can be fixed with a technical solution.
