How to print a list of the names of files in a folder?

I want only the name, date and type under the folder to print, not the content.  Thank you.

Here are two ways to list them:

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the source folder and press Ctrl + A to select all items. Hold down the SHIFT key, right-click on the selection and choose copy in the path. Your treatment of text or spreadsheet and paste (Ctrl + V), list open to it and print it.

2. open a run window (Windows Logo key + R), type cmd /k dir | clip (note the four spaces) and press ENTER. Paste (Ctrl + V) into Notepad, then print it out.

    Meg Staton,

The leak-you don't need to use. However, I see that you have typed the "BOLD" section but you haven't typed the entire order? dir/a/b (space) c:\users\meg\pictures\ancestrydocs\ (space) > c:\users\meg\pictures\ancestrydocs\list.txt (space)

I used (space) instead of a real space for clarification.

The part of the order before > basically Gets the list of the names of files that are included in the ancestrydocs folder and the part of the order after the > creates a text file list.txt names in this directory with the names of the files.

From the command prompt (start > run > Cmd.exe), simply change the desired directory and type "dir > filelist.txt ' or ' dir > lpt1," just as we got used to under MS-DOS. Switches for the DIR command of (type "dir /?") will work with this command, if you want to change the output.  Then, you can then modify the text obtained using NotePad, Word, WordPad, etc..

  • How to export all the names of files in a folder to simple text file.

    Hello Expertise,

I am trying to load the names of files in the folder to a table in ODI. then load the data from there to a single table.

I am able to load the data from 100 files in a folder. using the concept of loop (used ODI gurus: SEVERAL FILES - TARGET SINGLE TABLE - SINGLE INTERFACE link to do this, but right now I need to insert the names of files manually to a table. ) My Question is "is there any jython script or procedure to load all the file names to single table with FILENAME column. ???

If it please help me do this.

    Thank you

    Shakur

    Hi Shakur,

Yes you are right... The operating system command should be part of the automated process, I mean if you combine these file loading process (Interface, procedure, etc.) in a package of ODI, then the command BONES to get all the names of files in the FOLDER should be one of the steps in the package of ODI. For this, you can use ODI OS command component.

    Kind regards

  • How to get a list of the names of a query table?

    Hello

I use Oracle 10 g. I have about 100 SQL queries stored in a table. I would like to know if there is an easy way to retrieve the source tables in each query.
    For example:
    I have a query "SELECT * FROM Table1 t1 INNER JOIN Table2 t2 ON t1.col1 = t2.col1.
This query, I would automatically get a list of tables:
    Table1:
    Table2

Thanks in advance for your collaboration.

    Best regards
    Beroetz

This query, I would automatically get a list of tables:

Make a plan to explain on the query.

The name of the object will be in the OBJECT_NAME column in your PLAN_TABLE.

But the name of the object can be a table or an index so you'll need to join the user_objects this name to see if it is a table or index name.

You will also need to take into account those moments where a query can be satisfied by only using the index. You can always get the name of the table glancing user_indexes.

Not sure what you mean by "-30 high and - 30 from the right". It's not supposed to not be left aligned?

In any case, try this one:

    ({nHorizAlign: app.constants.align.left, nVertAlign: app.constants.align.bottom, nHorizValue: 30 nVertValue: 30});

If you want to further customize, locate the addWatermarkFromText method in the reference files. All parameters are specified in the it.

  • The list of all the names of files in a directory

    Hello everyone,

I need to write a script in PL/SQL (oracle 10g) that lists all the names of files in a specific directory on a client computer and import the files into the database (xml files). After you import the file, they must be removed.

I was looking for a solution for this because I've never met a challenge like this.
What I found was that I could use the procedure dbms_backup_restore.searchfiles of the SYS schema.
Now, I need to know how this procedure works. There is very little documentation available.
Can I give the procedure to a folder name on my customer's computer that contains xml files and let the procedure from the list of these files?

Can anyone help me please with this. I have no idea.

    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards
    Mariane

Stored procedures generally are running on the database server, so they can access only files that are visible on the database server. Unless you have a rather unconventional configuration where your server has mounted the directory of the client in question, no code that runs on the database server will be able to access the files on your client system.

Is there a client application that runs on the computer client connection to the database server? If Yes, this client application could handle some file manipulation is necessary?
