10 Firefox & jquery cycle plugin transparency issues

We use the jquery cycle plugin on many sites and after only 10 of Firefox was released, we notice a strong black box appearing on the slides during transitions.

What's happening:

   transition starts
   image area turns solid black
   next image fades in from black color

In other browsers (FF9.x and less, IE7 +, Chrome, Safari) the transition would be one slide to another and not black to the next slide.

Does anyone have an explanation for that? I thank in advance.

    W7 64 bit Firefox suddenly began opening as a transparent window, only a corner of the Red Cross. Tried to re-downloadiing and reinstall and same issue.

    One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

    Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • eval (Javascript) function does not work on Firefox for Android plugin

    I'm trying to migrate a desktop plugin in Firefox for Android plugin, and I need to use the function "eval". When I run the plugin on mobile, it blocks when eval(). That's what I do:

    String adaptionFunction = getConcreteFunctionName();
    eval (adaptionFunction);

    The first line returns something like this: __Application__.newList)
    I also tried, but did not work:

    var tmpFunc = new Function ("adaptionFunction");
    tmpFunc();

    What can I do? This same code works fine on the desktop.

    There was a problem of logic, and eval works very well. I can't delete this post, so I answer here.

    Mozilla Firefox Acrobat Reader Plugin ignores the security setting of the PDF document.

    When, for example, the document is protected against printing (confirmed in Acrobat Reader DC 2015.007 20033) it is possible to print from Mozilla Firefox.

    Installed and applied the jQuery menu plugin on apex.oracle.com. which can be seen here:

    The APEX Plugin was not created with an option to have only one button of top-level and childless, it assumes that all high level buttons will have children.

    You can edit the plugin and change the code to add the url for high level buttons.

    Or you could try the plugin Enkitec Navbar which might give you what you want and allows links to higher level.

  • jQuery Cycle, is not slippery in the browser?

    I used jQuery Cycle. It works in liveviwe mode in deamviewer, but when I download page to the Web site and browse it by any browser, it is not slippery?

    Problem is that you try to use 2 slideshows on one page.  It works best with a single slide show by page.

    In addition, you do not use the document type appropriate to support data atrributes.  You must use the HTML5 document type as I did in my example.

    Finally, you have a lot of errors that must be cleaned up coding as shown below.

    http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&URI=http%3A%2f%2Fnewweb.ediranfest.co.UK%2Fpages%2 Ftest.php

    If you want to do advanced stuff, it is essential that you learn to work with clean code.

  • jQuery Cycle slideshow does not

    Hello

    I'm trying to insert a slideshow into my site, and I found this great jQuery Cycle code http://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/. I've used it before and it worked very well, I even tested the code alone without my site and once again it works. But as soon as I have the code in my site it stops working, it gives me just 7 stacked images. http://designsparkz.ca/indexSlide.html Any help is greatly appreciated.

    It could work now with what you have, maybe with a little twist.

    Look in your source code for this line in yourarticle...

    Add a comment about her like that...

    Save the page and preview in a browser to see if it works. If it doesn't work, then someone can probably help you re - write your page or find a script that will work with others, that you are using.

    Hello yAxOr, can you try to start firefox in safe mode by pressing the SHIFT key during startup of this and see if the problem occurs there too? Maybe a theme or hardware acceleration intrudes here...

    If safe mode does not work, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and or disable addons that could cause the problem. It would also be interesting what graphics hardware (description of the adapter, driver date and version of the driver) you use - you can access this information in firefox > help > correct information to the bottom of this page... Thank you

  • Why should I firefox SHOCKWAVE FLASH plugin?

    I think it may cause apple to break spinning ball. Can I remove it and avoid spinning ball? If so, how?

    Flash player is a software developed by Adobe , who use many video websites, games, and other items. Flash player can cause slowness, causing many accidents and often has security problems, but use enough sites that its not really possible to avoid it. YouTube, for example, went to a new technology to play videos which is no need of flash player, but facebook always uses the flash drive for many features. So, Yes, we should probably keep it.

    If you wish, you can choose which websites to allow a flash drive work on a per-site basis. Come on in "subject: addons" in the address bar, click on the 'plugins' tab and look for what is called "shockwave flash" or similar. In the drop-down next to this menu, you can choose "ask to activate. In this way, firefox will ask you before you run flash on websites, so you can use flash when you want.

  • Firefox PDF viewer (plugin) corrupts the files to download

    There is a bug report. We found that files opened in the integrated Viewer (plug-in) PDF can be damaged when downloading using the icon "Download" on the upper right corner of the Firefox screen. When attempting to open one of these damaged using Acrobat files, you receive this error message:

    "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and cannot be repaired. »

    If we instead to download the file by clicking right into the plugin viewer and select "Save Page as..." ' the file is downloaded intact.

    Is an example where this problem occurred with the file marked: Document of Information Butterfish fishing
    on the page:

    http://www.mafmc.org/SSC-meetings/2013/April-may

    Hello ClayH, a fix for this problem should happen in firefox 26. in the meantime, you could also install the current development version of the pdf viewer, which is available as addon from http://mozilla.github.io/pdf.js/extensions/firefox/pdf.js.xpi and that should already contain the fix.

  • Impossible to access from Firefox 19 update plugin Acrobat for pdf files

    I don't like the new pdf viewer, which keeps throwing warnings and is not nearly as usable as the Acrobat plugin. I wanted to go back to the old plugin Acrobat installed with Adobe Reader XI. I searched these forums and the support files and tried the following, which none worked:

    1. Tools/Options/Applications, change pdf to 'use Adobe Reader'. This measure of reader, but not the plugin. There is no option for "Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox)". This option IS sometimes listed Acrobat file as Adobe Acrobat Forms Document.

    2 followed all the advice on this web page, which none worked: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/view-pdf-files-firefox-without-downloading-them

    3 reinstalled drive XI. Did not help.

    4 disabled plugin Acrobat to restarted ff... Reactivated it. Restarted. Did not help.

    5 changed pdfjs.disabled to true in topic: config. Made no difference.

    I'm pretty annoyed that I have to waste all that time to go back to something that has worked well. Just another update lame FF that should not happen. You guys are the deployment of updates too often without enough input from users. And what has become of the idea of opt in for optional features instead of just forcing on us. Will seek to use IE, where the plugin works fine.

    I think I solved my problem. I have disabled the plugin for Nitro Pro 7 and the Acrobat plugin is now visible again for pdf files.

  • My Shockwave Flash for Firefox (and IE) plugin causes computer/browser crash & restart, but only for the worms. 10.2 +. 10.1 & below, no problem. Any difficulty?

    I had this persistent problem of Shockwave Flash crash my system and causing an automatic my PC restart, as soon as I try to play flash videos (any browser, in fact). However, as long as I keep my flash to version 10.1 and not update it, it works fine. The problem is how long can I keep it like that until some future tweak of the same general Web site if flash sites that prevent work?

    I want to know if there is a fix so that I can install future versions of the Shockwave Flash plugin and actually make it work so I don't have to use such an archaic version of the Flash more (gag, even if I say this, I again Flash, it's so awkward in any version, I wish websites would turn to some other standard videos already).

    If anyone has an answer, please let me know. (My computer works on Windows XP with Firefox 12, either said by the way. Oh and I would love it if there was a way to get Firefox to work on the iPad, Safari is such a crude, childish browser, it has almost no Add-ons useful or features custom at all.)

    I just noticed that, in the subject line of your message, you specify the ActiveX of Flash for IE version causes the same problem. I wonder if there could be a problem with your graphics card driver software. Have you checked the firmware updates?

  • Firefox suddenly some wmode transparent lines. Instead, view the contents of my white instead of transparent. Help.

    Please help solve my problem of flash! The menu has always worked perfectly for several years. Suddenly, it works yesterday.

    The DOM Inspector shows that the menu has wmode = "opaque" in the EMBED for Firefox.

    It seems that there is a running script that modifies wmode = "transparent" wmode = "opaque" to the EMBED tags (OBJECT still has wmode = "transparent").

  • Firefox is not rendered transparent PNG correctly

    I have a web page that offers a PNG with transparency, but Firefox doesn't make properly - it's a little blurry and pixel-y. Both chrome and Opera have made the fine PNG. (It's all in Ubuntu Maverick).

    The image is available at http://mathsci.kaist.ac.kr/~drake/img/poorly-rendered-image.png; , it seems fine in itself, but the background of the web page with this picture is not white, it is (as far as I can tell) #ccc.

    I'm surprised that Chrome and Opera do it properly, but Firefox doesn't. What is going on?

    You can post a link to the page with this picture?

    If I apply a background color (body {background-color: #ccc}) in this image, then this it works for me.

    So I guess that something is wrong with the code.
