How to print colors specific spots in separations?

I'm still a newbie to ExtendScript & JavaScript, but I learn quickly. Right now, I need to find a way to tell InDesign to print specific pages in the active document with a "Preset" printer and - here's the best - only using some spot colors.  (The preset already allows separations.)

Now, I followed the Guide from Adobe InDesign CS6 JavaScript scripts on pages 47-51 as Jongware guide on the subject. However, two only refers to turning money or shut down the Cyan, Magenta, yellow, black or channels (using the methods .printCyan, .printMagenta, etc.); There is no mention for spot colors that exist in the document.

When you use the dialog box print normally, you just click the output tab and click on the little printer boxes (essentially the boxes) beside each separation of color that you want to print. Surely this can be replicated in ExtendScript, but how?

Hi Gang - How can I print an image 11 x 15 "on paper 13 x 19"?  Initially, it seems easy, but things are not how to navigate. Here's what I did:

I exported the photo and used the dialog box LR image resize to 11 x 15 "- easy."

I imported the exported image (assuming that the image was 11 x 15 ") and then in the LR print area - it is where the confusion begins.

Brain: generally intuitive, but need some help on this issue!

The first step in the Lightroom print module is to click on the Page Setup button, select your printer, and then select the paper size. It looks like your screen to paper size correct has not been selected yet, because you said you wanted to print on paper 13 x 19 inches, but the paper on the screen is only 8.5 inches wide. My guess is that Page Setup is always programmed for letter-size paper, and you should come back on layout and change it. After you do this, if your layout Style is unique, you should be able to affect the size of the cell 11 x 15 inches.

  • HP Deskjet 2540 All In One: Unable to print color?

I have a Deskjet 2540 brand new all-in-One. Printer is delivered without any instruction manual. How to print color? I hit 'print' of my document and it comes out in black and white. When I type on the printer, the 'color' button, it draws just a piece of paper through the unit and nothing is displayed at all. I do not understand this crazy thing. My old printer didn't need me to tell it to print color or black and white, that he knew what was coming through the system. I'm about to make this thing.

Thanks, actually it would print test print color, just not when I tried to get a print document in color. new printer, new cartridges. Change my selection of the printer of HP Deskjet 2540 2540 Deskjet series just seemed to settle, I don't know why. I just mention it here in case other Mac users have the same problem.

  • How can I print colors individual IE yellow, Magenta and Cyan on a 7610 Hp Printer all in one?

I realized a set of color separation; I would like to produce a set of individual sheets of each of the primary colors, IE yellow, Magenta and Cyan. and progressive a 4 color print.

See the user manual for your model of printer and the research for the how to print a demo page.  There could be other reports of diagnostic that you can print directly from the control panel of the printer to help you learn more about the cartridges.

Otherwise if you ask something technical to print with only one cartridge at a time it is really not a good way to do it.  All the colors you see in the output are a collage of the cartridges the printer has access.  A little of each cartridge ends up going in the final output to help enrich the quality of the prints to the human eye.

To print from a cartridge, the only way is to print a kind of diagnostic report that can help you visualize defects in the cartridge or print head.

  • How to print with no. COLOR MANAGEMENT in Photoshop CS6

    Hello

I tried to print an i1Profiler target so I can read with my i1Pro and create a profile of the printer, but no matter what I do, there is no way to get photoshop to provide a profile when printing. I tried to select printer handles color and then put the printer driver in the MANAGEMENT of OFF COLOR (seemed to me this would disable both the printer color management and color management photosbop). Tried to print this way (and many other ways) but NO SOLUTION - the impressions are VERY different from the on-screen display (which is in a correctly profiled Apple monitor) and they did resemble those with a selected profile.

I also tried the Adobe Color Printer Utility Utility and same results!

I use an EPSON Stylus Pro 7900 I just bought.

The key here is to really actually go ahead and print the target of i1Profiler to your printer... in the graphical Test Panel, create the staff and click on print instead of Save as. As long as you have the size of the page defined in the layout, you should get a target Specifies printer to read. According to the patches how you have defined, this may take a few pages, but they will be correctly formatted for playback with the i1Pro...

  • How to export and print a specific group of contacts in Windows Live Mail

Original title: list of Contacts in the Contact Group
I use Vista with Windows Mail, and I want to create a Word Doc that lists the names and addresses of a specific group of Contact in my list of email Contacts. I tried to copy and paste, but it does not work and I also tried to use the export but it exports just my full Contact list. Can someone help please? You can also simply print a list of names in my specific Contact Group?

    Hello

There is no option in Windows Mail to export or print a specific contact group.
You can export all contacts to Excel and edit/print as you wish.

Follow these steps to export the Windows Mail Contacts to Excel:
    a. open Windows Contacts by clicking on the Start button, all programs, and then clicking Windows Contacts.
    b. on the toolbar, click on export and then click on the CSV format.
CSV (Comma Separated Values). It is a format of generic file used to export or import information to and from databases or spreadsheets.
    c. click Export, select a folder where you want to store your contacts in the new format and then click OK.
    d. when a message appears telling you that the contacts export process is complete, click OK and then click Close.

  • How to ADD color settings to softproof to match print?

I calibrated my screen and added the printer color profile the test of Lightroom. The result is good, but the color and the contrast is still slightly outside the blue parts. I can change those by changing the settings in the calibration of the camera and the brightness of the LGV. I saved these changes to a model.

No, I just want to ADD these changes to each image I want to print. Howevery, existing modifications will be replaced by the model, instead of added.

What is the best way to add corrections to the test in multiple images?

A preset in the develop module will define the preset values, they are not additive. The saturation level of blue-15 is an exact value that will be applied if it is what is in the preset. If you have a group of images which need this adjustment also highlight these images and turn automatic synchronization and manually adjust. You can also create other presets with settings different blue saturation.

Develop adjustments made in the quick settings in the library module are related, but you are limited to the adjustments that can be made. And color setting you are looking for are not available in this mode.

  • How to print the image in grayscale in the rich black?

How to print the image in grayscale as PDF as black process only instead of CMYK?  I'm on FM10

    Ed,

What file format you save the image in? It is important, as indicated by error. If you left it as a PSD, then FM performs a conversion to RGB. A TIFF or EPS file properly remains blank (i.e. on the plate of K). Other formats, such as PNG to grayscale are actually indexed color and solve RGB when FM creates the PDF file in the presence of plates of Spot and where the components are mapped to the CMY plates also.

Here is a sample generated using SaveAsPDF with the CMYK option with the same 'gray levels' file saved in the format PNG, TIF and EPS in Photoshop (Note how the PNG isn't all there, on the plate K):

  • DeskJet 5500 prints color cartridge 57 but your gray of the 58 photo color cartridge

My deskjet 5550 is supposed to print color photo with the 58 cartridge inserted into the cartridge slot 2. It has suddenly stopped making and now print only the dull grey tone. I replaced the cartridge with a new one and got the same result. Print the same file using the 57 cartridge to slot 1 still gives the color. Replacing the driver produces no change. I'm on a Mac and I'm printing from iPhoto. Having checked that no filter is in use. Any ideas, what could be wrong and how to fix it?  Thank you.

The cartrdiges 57 and 58 are necessary all to print the photo. The 57 a Cyan, Magenta and yellow. The 58A Photo Black, Light Magenta and Light Cyan. The printer can print photos with the 57 by itself, but the 58 by itself will not be able to print grayscale because there no yellow. In photo printing normal both cartridges are used together, the 57 provides vivid colors and the 58 provides subtle shades and black areas. When you print on plain paper 56 cartridge replaces the 58. The 56 was ink black pigment which is good for text but not used on photographic support. Regards, Bob Headrick, MS MVP printing and imaging
