How to quickly access my last tab (accidentally) closed in Firefox 29?

I often accidentally close a tab by mistake in Firefox 29. Today, what is the fastest way to do this? Ideally with fewer clicks than in Firefox 28. And no, turning on the menu bar to show all the time is not an acceptable answer.

The menu under the button NewMenu is customizable.

The historical option can be moved within this menu or added to one of your toolbars, so there is no reason to leave it buried if it is often necessary.

What I see as a drawback is that in the new bar of the story that is generated from this option the windows closed and closed tabs are potentially widely separated. (I have not checked, but if it's also customizable - I use a different menu bar)

  • How can I prevent the FF when I close the last tab from closing?

FF used to go to my home page, bookmarks, something else when I closed the last tab in the window. Since I restored it FF the window closes when I close the last tab. I could find something in Add-ons but just thought lost in all those that are available.

You can set the pref browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab to false on the topic: config page.

    • topic: config page: browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab = false

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • How do I close the last tab when restore last session setting is turned on?

There are times, when I have several tabs open at the same time, when I want to turn off the computer and would like to see these tabs next time when I run Firefox.
However sometimes also would like to be able to close the last tab and with that 1) closing of Firefox 2) ' close the session' as when I restart Firefox, the default home page greets me, while restoring session last still in activity.

This future change is good knowledge and bitter to acknowledge, but it was not what I was looking for. (In practice, I need something, that automaticaally a click that, when they are available and makes unavailable, when for example, I press Ctrl + W on the last tab.)
I just realized, on my cell plu I made Facebook an app - tab, so I could close the last non-app-tab and exit firefox, and next time, the start page was there with the Facebook tab as well. I remember also, that in the pre-Firefox 4 (maybe) it was the default behavior, right?

Also I was using this: https://addons.mozilla.org/hu/firefox/addon/session-manager/ but a new computer should come with a blank page, and also I forgot about it.

Probably what I really need, is when I run Firefox, the start page will be always the first tab seen.

Thanks anyway, and I take the responses 'not possible '.

Edit: Actually the function of what I was looking for was available in the plugin I mentioned.

  • How to restore the new PIN tab older versions of firefox?

I recently updated my version of Firefox to V.33 and I really don't like the layout of the websites suggested or "pinned". The previous version, I used had only three "pins" to a row with three columns, giving me a total of 9 "pinned" sites This new update gives me many more options, but they are about a quarter of the size of those used in the previous version of Firefox, I had, makes it very difficult for someone (like me) who has poor eyesight to select good 'pine '. I love this browser but this severely affects the way I use it and I would just go back to things I'm used to.

If someone know everything on how to restore just this one feature I would be extremely grateful if you could share.

    Thank you.

It is on the page of the new tab (Ctrl + t)? These pages come from your story unless you pinned your own pages here.

33 Firefox now to spend up to 5 thumbnails. You can reduce the number of thumbnails per row back to 3 by modifying a parameter "behind the scenes", but I'm not sure it will help because the size of the thumbnail is also depends on the available height:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.newtabpage.columns and change your change of 5 to 3, and then tap OK.

As an alternative, this helps the page zoom (hold the CTRL and press +)?

  • left-click on the icon of firefox in the taskbar displays a list of all the tabs. How to open just to the last tab?

I use the tab grouping feature a lot. It means that I have 100s of tabs open at any time.

The problem: once a switch between tab groups, the Firefox icon in the task bar changes in what looks like multiple echoes of the Firefox icon. I guess this is supposed to represent several groups of tabs.

Before the 20th of Firefox might click on the Firefox icon in the taskbar, and would come to the top and show the last tab, I worked on Firefox.

Since Firefox 20 a left click on the Firefox icon in the task bar now displays a list of the 28 tab + seemingly random tabs. Many of them said only: "Mozilla Firefox" instead of the site represented by this tab (because the tab has not been accessed recently).

To open Firefox to the last tab, that I worked on is now a real chore. I now have to choose one of these tabs 28 + (which is 99% of the time the tab bad), then switch to the Group of the appropriate tab and then find the tab I've worked on. It usually takes 5-10 clicks to get back to where I was before I've minimized Firefox, or before that Firefox has lost focus. (In the past I could simply click on the Firefox in the taskbar, and restored Firefox icon where I left last.)

How can I disable the list that is displayed when a left click or move the mouse over the Firefox icon in the taskbar? I would like the ability to minimize/restore Firefox by clicking on the Firefox icon in the taskbar, as it was in the past, do not get a choice of random tabs.

I think that I thought about it. Under OPTIONS > OPTIONS > TAB, uncheck the box for "Show glimpses of tab in the Windows task bar" and then click OK

  • How do you access tabs when "full screen," tabs on top «?»»»

    Hello

In mode "full screen", it is possible to quick access by mouse tabs to the top of the screen in a hover.

This behavior does not occur when "tabs on top" are disabled. Hover of the mouse to the top of the screen does nothing.

Am I missing something or are - this insistence Firefox change me?

    Thank you

Is not disable them, but simply their past below the address bar.

If you want to disable them, go to Options | Options | Tab and remove the check mark from: 'always show the tab bar '.

The mouse to the top of the screen in a hover reveals the toolbars, tabs not only.

If it does not work for you, try running Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode. If it works properly in this configuration, then one of your modules is the culprit.

  • How to close last tab SuperStart actually open rather then close Firefox?

Is there a way to make Firefox (or SuperStart) will close NO Firefox when the last tab is closed? I would have preferred so he can act as the opera it would make the page tabs SuperStart appear instead. In this way, I choose to close Firefox by actually closing Firefox (for example clcking the Red "x" in the corner of Firefox, etc.).

Just because I don't want the last open tab does NOT mean I want to close my browser.

As a result of this behavior today, when I reopen it Firefox I find myself with that last tab is showing once again, which of course, I don't want either one.

Could you try this and see if it gives the effect that you want? When you close the last tab in the window, Firefox displays the "new tab" page.

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the tabs and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab to change its value from true to false.

Press Ctrl + n to open a new tab, press Ctrl + w to close the useful tab?
