  Your subscription to creative cloud is independent of CS4 and should not interfere with the installation of the Acrobat 9 that came with you more. Run the Creative Suite Installer and installing it will give you a screen where you can choose which application you want to install.

  If you have tried and it doesn't work, we will be able to best solve your problem if you can provide more details as suggested by Mylenium. What is your OS and what exactly happens when you try to install Acrobat CS4 discs? You receive an error message?   I have a logo created in Illustrator CS4. I saved the file for use in Microsoft Office using the 'save for Office", export as a .wmf and even save vector art in Photoshop as a .png. I can get a variety of formats to work well into Word documents.

  That is the problem. Finally, the Word document will be saved in PDF format. When the file is saved as a PDF (from Word), the color changes in the PDF file. How can I fix this? I tried to record the changes in the modes of rgb and cmyk colors, but the color when it hits Acrobat prints differently than the Word. It drives me crazy and I can't understand it.

  I do this often enough and export to Illustrator in .wmf format. I get the necessary transparent background, no problem of pixel, and the graphics are crisp. Clip art from Microsoft Office is about all .wmf formatted, so I thought that it would be compatibility problems and there is no. This is perhaps an approach that will work easily for you.

  Well, you made a mess! (don't take it personally) Most likely, the problem lies in the order in which you have installed. There is a complex network of interdependencies between Adobe components shared between programs and some that are fragile, to say the least, so it breaks down when you install tries to replace or update some of these components. There is a reason why there are a Master collection. You prefer bet at this point is to simply use CS4 Clean Utility from the support pages to unregister all files in the database installation, then just install programs that until now, you were not able to get on your system. You can repeat this after every installation or when something seems to have gone wrong, it really leaves intact programs. The only downside is that when you want to get rid of it, you need to manually remove all directories...
