How to remove 134.2 weird MB partition

I have an iMac with a broken optical drive 2011. Many years ago I tried different methods to create the partition, bootcamp, IIRC the process included wiping disk, creating a really really small partition for windows has need, then windows partition itself, then the restoration of mac os on any space left on the hard drive. I did it severeal times, but ended up wiping disk one last time and restoration of os x. I dunno if it counts, but most of the time, I got Mac OS via the internet tool (you are supposed to contain a combination of keys during the boot process, and then the window if poster offering to open either disk utility, install Lion OS and 2-3 other options), although I could have used usb with an operating system on it once I do not remember. In any case, I decided to try and create the bootcamp partition, again using this thread Bootcamp without optical drive. The problem is, now I have some partitions disk0s2 (134.2 mb) that I can't delete and bootcamp will do its thing, until I have only 1 partition on my HARD drive. Partition name is gray in utility disc, and when I press on "-" on the tab partition, then confirm erasion nothing happens. I think I had to create this partition during the recovery process and 134, 2 mb is the minimum size it would allow me to him. Can you help me remove, preferably without wiping the Mac partition will result?

Not, and you cannot delete the partition. Please after the release of the following OSX Terminal commands.

  • Satellite U400-22z - how to remove the HARD drive recovery partition

    Hallo,

My satellite u400-22z came with a big "hdd recovery" folder on the drive hard - yes I know what it does.
but the unbearably awful version of windows vista that came with the machine made me decide that, in the event of failure of the system, I'm still will not install this failure of the attempt of an operating system.
So I do not have these data recovery.

So those ~ 11 GB of junk sitting on my drive is bugging me, I can't delete the folder HDDRecovery, it is somehow protected against deletion.

How can I work around that?

Also, is it safe or can I make it safe, to use the small apparently hidden partition (that's recovery also?) I found, which is IIRC ~ 2 GB or larger, for own purposes, without destroying my current installation of windows?

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

    Hello

If you have a recovery disk and you do not want to store the folder in hard drive hard disk recovery, you can remove it.

    > I can't remove the folder HDDRecovery, it is somehow protected against deletion.

Remove you it as you always do to remove all files on your system.

Here's how to make a Bootable Vista Startup Repair disk:

If you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • How to remove the disc VM (using partitions)

    Hi all

Workstation 11 Pro, Windows 7/10 guest (same behavior), Windows 7 comments.

Guest has a configured and more data main OS drive disc. This drive is not using a file, rather than using physical access to a partition not used.

Comments also instant (if that makes a difference)

Windows 7 host was the original host where the machine has been created

Windows 10 host is a new facility after upgrade (even machine so that can access all disks)

I try to remove this data from the virtual machine disk, but will have questions:

1 VM settings-> delete disk.     Initialize the Workstation States "of sufficient permissions to access the file.

    2. tried in offline mode of the disc in the comments before removing, same result

3 attempted to create a complete clone of the machine without the disc - same mistake

4 tried to create a complete clone of the machine with the floppy - cannot be duplicated the machine with physical disks

    5. When you try to start the machine on Windows 10 (new installation), I get a message indicating
the partition table has changed and I need to remove and add the disk:

tried to remove and don't add, some of

b tried just remove, same error as in 1, 2 above

Note There are no log files entries generated during the boot, so I can't include these here...

How can I remove this reference on the disc so that I can:

    1. access from two hosts of windows 7 or 10?

2 clone this machine without the physical disc

    See you soon,.

You must delete all the snapshots or the clichés associated with this disc to be able to remove the disc hisself. Example, even if you do not, if the drive was there when you did a snapshot, the associated disk cannot be deleted.

  • How to remove the partition from disk on Tecra?

Any ideas how to remove the partition that Toshiba create by default when the operating system is installed?

    Hello

Which partition do you mean? And what laptop do you have?
I got my satellite repeatedly and didn t see any partition made by Toshiba.

Of course, I read in this forum that some owners of Qosmio with Qosmio player have this partition that has been specially designed for the Qosmio player.

So, what do you mean exactly?

PS: If you want to remove a single partition if you do to the title of the disk management in the computer management option.

  • How to remove a partition unallocated in windows7

I have recentlt bought a laptop which has 500 GB of space, I tried to make 2 partitions and has managed to create one, the other partition is unallocated and unable to appoint or remove, how to remove it?

Work on the basis that you have only FOUR partitions.

    Your computer already has THREE.

    1. A system reserved partition (hidden and no letter assigned)
    2. A primary partition, C
    3. A recovery partition (hidden and no assigned letter)

This leaves space for ONE more, that's why you couldn't create TWO others.

What you need to know is...

If you are already running the process of recovery from the recovery partition or recovery disks, any partition created by you over the content of this partition is summarily DELETED.

    To correct this you did...

Use a 3rd party partition Manager...

    http://www.partition-tool.com/

Use the free version of home and merge with your new partition unallocated space.

  • How to remove the local partition of storage and vmfs

I have esx 3.5 on a 6 infrastructure hosts. Each host, in addition to other stuff, I have a 6 GB VMFS partition, "tied" to a local storage.

I did not install, so I do not know the purpose of this partition, but there seems that it is not used, because it is empty.

Now I need free space on the hosts to install monitorning of IBM tools, and I thought that it was preferable to have these installed NOT on the partition root.

Since I have this 6 GB partition (hopefully) unused, I if I could remove the storage, delete the partition VFMS and create an EXT3 partition.

But I do not know how... can someone tell me the exact procedure I should follow?

    Some information about my environment:

    the VMFS partition is sda3:

    Disk/dev/sda: 14.9 GB, 14999879680 bytes

    Heads of 64, 32 sectors/track, 14305 cylinders

And I have this virtue/vmfs/volumes (ensv16oe:storage1 is the local storage, I want to delete):

    ensv16oe:storage1 is on vmhba1:4:0:3

    Thank you for your attention.

The restart was not necessary also if fdisk say Yes.

A different way has been to say the least the VMFS volume empty, change the type with fdisk, forcing a new analysis and verify that the data store is gone.

  • I how to remove the recovery partition and make the entire hard drive, a recovery partition?

I have two hard drives and the two have a recovery partition. Disk 0 is disk 1 80 GB and 500 GB. I want to remove the recovery on both partition and drive 1 recovery partition. Disc 1 is much older, but I would have preferred free space on disk 0.

The "recovery Partition" in question is not a thing of Microsoft.  Ask that ever created it (the manufacturer of your computer) which will probably help you not because it's beyond their desire to do so.

I suggest you create / have external media and numbers of series/product key in another place course of the computer itself.

  • PhotoSmart more B210a: how to remove a ghost printer

I tried to install wireless a B210a on a home network. I finally gave up that effort, for reasons that I won't go into this thread. I decided to go back to a USB connection. First of all, a bit of history.

This printer has been used in this household for about 3 years. A person who had knowledge a bit these things here performed the installation, and it never got the connection wireless set up. This person is now out of the picture, and I was managing IT chores.

My first step was to uninstall the printer and try again.  Before I did, I noticed he seemed to have two instances of the B210a on the system, but in devices and printers, one of the icons has been grayed out. I deleted both. I also deleted all programs HP printer software.

Now, I have reinstalled the printer with a USB connection. I found it weird that the printer installed as 'HP PhotoSmart Plus B210 Series (copy 1)', but I let that slide. I opened a Word document for a series of tests. In the print dialog box, I was surprised to see two lists of the same printer again! See the additional printer with exactly the same name, less stuff "(copie 1) '." To add to the confusion, it also displays a message: ' error - remove: 3 documents pending. "

Huh? What happens here? How to remove these three documents, and how do I get rid of the ghost printer?

Hello and welcome to the community of HP @Caesar1948,

I understand that you are having trouble installing your HP Photosmart Plus. I'll be happy to help you.

To resolve the error message "error - delete: 3 documents pending ', below, I've posted a link to a document that offers solutions of troubleshooting on this issue.

  • Remove the HARD drive recovery Partition

    Hello

Does anyone know how to remove the recovery Partition HDD? I don't have any use for it as I repeated it CD, as well as images of partition stored on a network drive. I want that space to put a current image of my C: drive, rather than the initial installation.

When I go to delete a partition or volume I get the errors. Resizing my computer laptop completely bombs with Paragon Disk Manager and I have to reinstall all partitions! Removing sub Vista it says volume is in use and delete may cause unexpected errors.

If you really want to remove it, you might try Acronis Disk Director Suite. I never had any problems with it. A very good program.

Furthermore, I think you mean that the Windows recovery environment and that s not a feature of Toshiba.
Toshiba Recovery is only stored in a folder called HDDRecovery. It s not on a hidden partition.

However, this good article is maybe interesting for you:

I tried Ubuntu in my HP Envy X 360 15 - w002nx laptop.  After you uninstall using uninstaller os, single operating system Ubuntu is deleted but not the GRUB. It always shows in the UEFI boot order. How to remove Ubuntu boot order entry? I tried EasyUEFI and also bcedit.exe command. It removes the entry, but after restart iis to come again. How to get rid of this problem?

    I appriciate your help.

    Hello

Thanks for posting in the HP Support forum.

In order to achieve that you need, please read these articles and follow the steps.

You must first remove the EFI partition Ubuntu (actually, I think ths is what you see)

After that, you can remove the HDD MBR GRUB using bootrec.exe /fixmbr and /FixBoot Bootrec.exe (this is done using CD/DVD recovery Windows or with Windows 10 - >ISO)

I have a hard drive. At least two partitions. C: 74.7 GB with 63.3 freespace
    D: 74.2 GB with 70.6 freespace
These are my original specifications of the hard drive: 160 GB (7200 RPM) SERIAL ATA HARD DRIVE WI

Windows is present on both drives C: & D:. In the directory windows on C:, the oldest entry is 19.12.12, 21.43 last 21.12.12, 22.50
The first entry in the directory windows on D: is 19.12.12, 18.42 the last 21.12.12, 22.40
