How to remove chkupd

I run Windows 7. During the last two weeks, whenever I start the system, I get a window menu drop-down asking what program to use to open CHEKUPD.  It's annoying and I was not able to delete or remove it permanently. It does not appear in Mode without failure. Y at - it a fix for this problem?

Step (1) download free CCleaner http://www.piriform.com/download & install it!

step (2) open the CCleaner

step (3) click on Tools and select start

step (4) click on scheduled task

step (5) search for the chkupd file and select it. See if the file looks something like this, or similar: (ProgramUpdateCheck Trusted Software ApS C:\Program Files (x 86) \File Type Assistant\TSAssist.exe /chkupd).

step (6) click on the butten turn off in the upper right corner of the window, close all programs, restart your computer and that's all!... wallah.

It's the surest way to get rid of the error popup chkupd without risky decisions!
