  You delete a shortcut, just as you would remove any other file.  A shortcut will end with the extension ".lnk".  So assuming you are trying to remove the shortcut named "Shortcut.lnk" which appears to the user 'Bob's Office, you use the button Delete (del) or 'clear' command by specifying the full path to the file.  (Remember to put filename in quotes if there is a space anywhere in the path or name) as in:

  Here is an answer I just gave to a similar question. The extensions will probably work, but you should not have pages that don't load or hang. I don't.

  You have one of the longest list of plugins I've ever seen. Make sure they are all up to date. And if you keep problems try Mode without failure for extensions of problem. Try turning off hardware acceleration - Options > Advanced Options > Navigation > uncheck use hardware acceleration.

  Try this...

  Start button > in the search box, type cmd > upper left, make a RIGHT click on cmd.exe > click on Run As Administrator > appears a black and white screen. It's your application of the cmd window > at the prompt, type or better yet, flashing copy / paste the following command...

  SC delete "bProtector".

  > Press enter

  (Which is to withdraw the service from bProtector)

  > Output window of cmd.

  Explorer to start again. See if bProtector is gone or not.
