How to remove the menu display keyboard?

Hello..

I designed a screen with the orientation of the device. When the user showing the virtual keayboard, my design of the screen gets collapsed. There is no editfields in my screen. So I want to remove the menu "show keyboard" from the menu list.  I tried NO_SYSTEM_MENU_ITEMS in the screen. But it deletes the menu "Switch application" also. I want to just remove the "Show keyboard" only... Please help me...

Thank you...

Hi razebond,

The virtual keyboard, in particular, to get a handle on virtual keyboard designated screen as shown in the following document:

http://docs.BlackBerry.com/en/developers/deliverables/13222/Displaying_touch_screen_keyboard_647781 _...

From there, you can call VirtualKeyboard.setVisibility (VirtualKeyboard.HIDE_FORCE) to disable the virtual keyboard; in turn, this will remove the menu item.

Alternatively, you can override the method makeMenu() of the screen and use a loop in collaboration with Menu.getsize () to iterate through the items in your Menu and find the item with the text display keyboard. Once found, you can call Menu.deleteItem (int position) on the location of the item display keyboard .

This deletion would better follow a call to super.makeMenu (menu Menu, int for example) to ensure that the Menu has already been filled.

In your case, the recommendation would be to completely disable the virtual keyboard as it is a much cleaner approach.

    The little square that used to appear on the top, isn't there anymore, so I can't go there to remove the menu bar that appears under the player. Before the update, the menu and the options were in a little square on top (left) and you could turn on and turn off the menu bar there, but now that I updated Itunes, that square doesn't appear anymore, and the menu bar just stays there. I tried everything to remove it but I don't know how. It kinda bugs me seeing the menu bar there since i'm used to just have it in that little square on top.

    Hi Pierre,.

    Try the override of the method onMenu() of the screen and iterate over the menu item, if the text of the menu item "Open link" as the run() call this menu item method.

    Something like this:

    {} public boolean onMenu (int instance)
    If (instance == Menu.INSTANCE_CONTEXT) {}
    Recover main menu
    Menu MainMenu = this.getMenu (Menu.INSTANCE_DEFAULT);

    numItems int = mainMenu.getSize ();
    for (int i = 0; i)< numitems;="" i++)="">
    CurItem MenuItem = mainMenu.getItem (i);
    String name = curItem.toString ();
    If ("Open Link".equals (name)) {}
    curItem.run ();
    break;
    }
    }
    Returns false;
    } else
    Return super.onMenu (instance);
    }

    Is there a way I can you get rid of the annoying "drop down" menu tools that is installed on my Vista Toshiba U300 and always keep the work function keys?

    Many prefer the features of the XP versions, IE. there when you want, on a keyboard, not a stupid menu that gets in the way every time I have use remote desktop. Who writes these things? They never use them? : P

    You can turn it off. I know that each of us has a different taste and if you don't like it you can open the settings for Flash cards and simply turn it off.

    It can not be that complicated. ;)

  • How to remove or uninstall a keyboard on the screen.

    I have a keyboard on the screen that keeps popping up when I connect.  I can't find the program to be deleted.  The menu help on the keyboard has a Disable button but it only turns off for this instance.  It keeps popping up whenever I connect.  It's very boring and tedious.  How can I get rid of him?  I tried to do the uninstall program is not on the list, remove/uninstall in Control Panel in your responses section, but nothing doesn't come.  I think that this program was here to Acer when I bought this computer.  I fell on it and at the time thought it would be useful, but in fact, it's a royal pain in the back.  I also checked my list of pop-up windows because it is on the way to my clock, calendar and thermometer turns on, but it isn't here either.  How can I get rid of this annoying keyboard?  Help!

    I can't find any place to turn off the keyboard.  It is not in my list of pop-up windows.  It is not in my programs.  I don't know where to go to get rid of this thing.

    I pulled up the tutorial, but he says that he how to disable temporarily.  Whenever I log in, here it is again.

    I could not see the video in the tutorial.  It's just a white screen with no click to the 'play' button

    Everything that I see that there are photos of different keyboards for different versions.

    But, thanks for the time!

    Ok. For some reason you can't see the tutorial, here are the instructions...

    Start > Control Panel > Classic view > ease of access > use the computer without a mouse or keyboard > uncheck "use on-screen keyboard > click SAVE when finished."

    The tutorial gives you also two Option which includes a section on how to disable the on-screen keyboard.
    Have you tried that too?

  • How to remove the search box in the Windows 7 Start Menu?

    I'm a guy from keyboard. Encoder, mudder. Therefore, I prefer my Start menu for user-friendly keyboard, which includes the removal of the search box as the focus of pigs. I can't find this option in the control panel to the taskbar and Start Menu. I lack, or it is impossible to get the classic Windows, looking for the start menu?

    I forgot on the thing... If you want to remove the search box, try this: start > Control Panel > programs > Turn Windows features or disable > uncheck Windows Search

    ...

    I said that you can press Tab... wrong... you must press SHIFT + Tab.

    ...

    About to express my opinion - there is a simple reason why I do this. Some time ago, someone asked how to remove the search box, and it received no response for a few days. After that, I found this option, how to remove... When I said on this subject after a few days, I heard that this person used to this new feature of Windows and now it will keep it. I'm not saying that your opinion is wrong... this system differ only from XP... so we have to try to learn something new and check after a few days we don't like this solution more than the previous.

    ...

    I wonder why write you in commentary edition which has pasted the link almost not worth it. You will get exactly the same behavior of Menu start as in Windows XP. I thought that you, like this old solution... "Pinning just something that mimics the classic style"... No... you have clicked on the first link... you should read more prudent. There was also another. But even if you have selected the first solution with menu PIN... I guess you don't know that you can run all the pinned programs by pressing the Windows key + number... for example, WinKey + 1, so that each action is made without a mouse.

  • Satellite L745 - how to remove the keyboard safely?

    Hello, people!

    I need help please. As the topic says, how to remove the keyboard?
    It's because I shared tea on my keyboard and, fortunately, no key was damaged. However, now it is sticky, and it is quite annoying!

    Can someone please help me with the entrance keys, Shift, back space * and other small keys at home.

    Thanks in advance.

    Sticky Keys?
    I really put t know if you will be able to clean the little mechanism under the CAP.

    OK you can try it. What you need to do is remove the key cap first. Pull it gently on the floor. It is set with small farmers in plastic. When the CAP is removed, you can check the situation and try to clean it up.

    When finished put the CAP in place and push it all smoothly. You will hear clicking noise and everything should be OK again. Do it for all the keys.

    Please take it very easy. If you damage this small mechanism you can immediately order new lkeyboard.

    Hello Bob

    The keyboard replacement procedure is almost on all Toshiba laptops. At, first of all it must remove the cover above the keyboard (where the buttons are placed).

    After doing this to remove the keyboard is very easy.

    BTW: is your laptop under warranty? Please be careful about this.

    Hello

    Fix locks around the keyboard. So to remove it, you will need to insert your finger into the left hold of lid and push keyboard corner, so let corner keyboard appears.
    As far as I know there are 14 latches on the lid of the keyboard:
    -6 down,
    -1 lock on the right and 1 bolt left side
    -6 latches in front.

  • How to restore the menu bar (file-editing-display) PDF?

    How to restore the menu bar (file-editing-display) PDF? I use version Adobe Acrobat 8.1.3. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Kolja

    I had a similar problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro X, where the menu bar would not appear.  I was able to get menu bar to appear if I resized the document by placing the pointer on the right, left, top or bottom of the document (you see a double arrow), and then by clicking and dragging.

    The problem was definitely solved for all documents by opening Adobe Acrobat without having to open a document.  Then click on Edit in the menu bar.  Then click on Preferences.  In the preferences of the box click on full screen at the top left.  Then find the section Navigation screen complete.  Check the box show the Navigation bar.  Finally click on OK at the bottom right.

    I hope this helps someone and saves a lot of frustration.
