  What is a text box for "contact"? If Yes, then try following

  1. Select the text box.

  2. double click on it to switch to the text editing mode

  3. Select all of the text and search a panel of hyperlink on the toolbar.

  4. If you see the url you want to get rid of remove it by clicking the X button as shown in the screenshot below.

  

  In case you do not see a link for all of the text and then try to select each character and keep an eye on the hyperlink table.

  NB - no usable restore points are available.
  The link which initially allowed me to install WMC in Windows 8 is no longer available for use.

  Due to a corruption of the hard drive software, Windows Media Center became unusable with my tv card. It resulted in my duty uninstall by using the Add or remove features in Control Panel. Don't try to reinstall Windows Media Center in the same way by reselection it even once, had no success.

  Any suggestions on how to remove WMC and rerun without a clean install of Windows would be greatly appreciated.

  Something may have changed your newtab preference. You can change it in your Firefox configuration:

  1. In the address bar, type Subject: config and press enter. The subject: config "this might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
  2. Click on I'll be careful, I promise! to keep the comments: config page.
  3. In the search bar above the search "newtab" list and search for the preference browser.newtab.url
  4. Double click on the line or right click and select Edit/reset - reset it reverts to default (Subject: newtab)

  Alternatively, you can install the extension of the reset search tool that resets your homepage and new tab page back to the default Search Preferences and then to uninstall.
