If you are visually scaling by dragging the corner, simply hold the SHIFT key to constrain.

If you enter values, in case the tool superior bar o r image > image size dialog box, just click on the little lock beside the width and height text boxes.

If you need more help capture your screen so that we can see what you're doing.

    I have about 530 jpegs that were the records to progressive JPEG, and I need to save them all to standard baseline JPEG.  How to do all this without recording them one by one?

    Hi Rachel

    Go file > Scripts > Image Processor which opens this Panel

    It will be easier if you put all the images in a folder, you can select this folder and all the files it contains batch. The numbered sections are in the order you need to follow, so nice an easy.  Don't forget to assign a location record well, or you might struggle to find their.

    An alternative, FI you re using Windows is Irfanview.   It has more options than the Image Processor, but maybe it's a little harder to use.

    Good luck

  • How to enlarge an image without losing quality?

    Hello!

    I need to resize a picture, I know that the resizing and resampling are two different things, so I read that for printing is recommended for resize, so I resized my picture to change the print quality, the problem I have is that I Don t know how to enlarge the image, as it doesn´t change the size on the screen so that it fits on my model. its too small, I think only resampling it, but if I re - sample I'll be changing the number of pixels and quality, just to lose? How can I enlarge the image to get the best possible quality?

    Thank you

    The simple answer to that question is cannot perform an extension without some loss of quality, even if you do it work with an enlarger in a dark room with old film mode, there would be losses, but it's a matter of how noticeable is the loss and the movie was until the invention of the multi-mega pixel much more lenient than digital media cameras. However, you can still do a lot digitally

    1) go to the image size dialog box, and set it to re-try using the interpolation method to "preserve the details" and increase the width and height, but don't go crazy about double the number of pixels is easy as long as you have demonstrated to go.

    (2) Photoshop will have now calculated conjecture on the colors of the pixels that would be adjacent to the real pixels of the image and created them, inevitably it will make mistakes that will appear as a reduction in sharpness. To compensate for that save the enlarged image as a "smart object", or you could do this in step 1. Now duplicate the layer ctrl-J or cmd - J, set the blending mode "soft light" and "High-pass" filter

    Set the preview to give a better tip as below. It is trial and error, that is why a smart object is preferable to use a dynamic filter is available at retrys.

    What is this procedure is to sharpen the image in a very controlled manner of compensation for the loss of focus during the enlargement process.

    Usually if you start with a good quality without compression image this will lead to an almost perfect expansion

    Best results can be achieved with third-party plugins such as Alien Skin Blow UP because they have algorithms to more sophisticated enlargements, but this method tends to work very well

  • Scaling of images without damaging them?

    How a STEP resample images when you descale them?

    This has probably been asked by anyone who has never used Fireworks, but I couldn't find anything by searching for previous posts on the subject.

    And if you get wrong the proportions of an unhinged image you can get it back? without resampling of course.

    Thank you

    When you import a bitmap image, convert it to a symbol (right click > convert to symbol - or - change > symbol > convert to symbol - or - F8 key). When you reduce the image it will keep the data of the image at full size, so you can then expand again until the original size without loss of quality.

    Regarding the proportions, the best practice is of course never ruin everything first (which is really not a lot ask of someone who the work includes the design.) It's a skill very very basic), but if you were to lose the correct aspect ratio you can always edit the symbol, get the proportions of the bitmap in the symbol, noting the size and then apply it to the instance of the symbol in the document by entering the size manually.

  • How do you support users without having them reveal their password

    I'm in the desk stand in great company. The head of our Department of COMPUTER security has recently published an email, across the enterprise, reminding the user is to never give their password for SOME reason any. It has not yet, but may impede our ability to help users. There are some situations where it is necessary to have a user login information. Speaking with our Department of COMPUTER security, they will not move on this issue. They want us to find ways around a user reveal their password for us even if it means that it will take twice as long to solve the problem.

    What is considered a best practice security for office support. How do other companies support their users without having them never reveal their password?

  • Photoshop CC: Have a template that I transferred the image to.  The image is too small.  How to resize the image in the template?  Or I have to go to the file original image and resize here over and over again until I have found the right person?

    I have a model I am able to plug different images at different times.  The problem is when I plug an image in this template, I think that the image is either too big or too small.  Is it possible to connect the image in the template and resize the image (and not the template itself) OR I have to go into the file with the original image and resize them it there and then try to plug it into the model to see if it fits - and if it does not fit, return to the original with the image file and resize it again and see if this fits - and so on and so on...?  "" I tried the "image size" option, but it's all or nothing - especially miss!

    Thank you!

    First, make sure that the original image is larger that you need. It is easier to delete pixels that so add nonexistent pixels.

    Place the image in the template.

    In the menu filters, choose Convert to smart object. (Make sure that the image layer is selected before doing this step)

    Now reduce the size of the image of what you need (ctrl-t or cmd - t) when satisfied click return/enter.

    Because the image layer is a smart object, you can replace the inner image in another image and the scale will remain the same. You will find the option to replace the image in the layers > smart menu object.

  • How to resize an image to the dimensions of the inner image?

    Hello

    I am preparing a JS script.

    I need to resize an image (InDesign) to the dimensions of an inner picture (actually image shown by the framework itself).

    So:

    (1) I need to control if the frame is more (larger) great that image inside.

    (2) if (1) it is true, I need to get the dimensions of the inner image and apply it on the frame.

    (3) at the end, I'll have the framework fits perfectly to the image.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Francesco Jonus

    (1) I need to control if the frame is more (larger) great that image inside.

    How to set this?

    It is obvious for the one on the left, but what the right one?

    If you care just about area, then calculate the area and check:

    fb = app.selection[0].geometricBounds;
    framewidth = fb[3]-fb[1];
    frameheight = fb[2]-fb[0];
    framesize = framewidth * frameheight;
    ib = app.selection[0].images[0].geometricBounds;
    imagewidth = ib[3]-ib[1];
    imageheght = ib[2]-ib[0];
    imagesize = imagewidth * imageheight;
    if (framesize < imagesize) {
       alert("Frame is smaller!");
    }

  • How to delete an image without deleting the layer?

    I consider myself an intermediate photoshop user. Since the introduction of the CS6, I can't do something simple - remove an image without deleting the layer. I don't want the deleted layer because it has a clipping mask. The tech support agent told me to use the Eraser tool. It is not effective. Is there a way to do this? I don't understand why it is now so complicated. I'm so frustrated.

    Has CTRL or cmd to select all, and then press the delete key. Just make sure that the layer is selected first.

    As my English is not 100%, and I'm asking my question here with a little help from the images.

    My question is about optimizing an image in the PS display.

    When I open a photo my screen looks like this: the image is placed somewhere in the PS window.

    screen1.jpg

    But I want to work not with this image, but with the picture entirely. When I click the button (upper right) on the image, the chassis is maximized, but I can't see my menu (higher). It looks like this:

    I use this (red arrow) button in the menu to optimize the image, but then I have to click two options:

    screen3.jpg

    And then I get a picture as I want, like this:

    screen4.jpg

    But is there an option I can get the last screen by just clicking the button larger image?

    In fact, there is a way! I just remembered - it's in the preferences that you can set how to open your images wil. Here you are:

    Hello
    I want to resize the image if its bigger than a maximum size. To that effect in the listener to 'StatusChangeEvent.INLINE_GRAPHIC_STATUS_CHANGED', I changed graphics width and height. But then the undoManager doen't cancel transactions before this image resizing.
    If I resize the image using editManager.modifyInlineGraphic () then in the undo stack additional surgery will be added.

    Good point - setting of the image solves the problem with the size of the chart.

    I'll take the idea of maximum size connected as an enhancement request parameters.

  • How to recreate the image without disc

    I want to reimage my computer because I have a virus, but I bought a computer that has windows 7 pre installed - how do I reimage without a disc or where can I find the Office

    Some computer manufacturers, including Dell and HP, have a recovery partition on the hard drive of the new computers.  By pressing a special key combination when the computer starts, you can use the recovery partition to restore the computer to the way it was when it was new.

    If your computer has that, contact the computer manufacturer and ask an installation disc.

    After you have re-installed Windows 7, make an image of the backup system, that you can use to restore the system quickly and easily if necessary.
