  • How to resize and put photographs in emails of photos app?

We installed the new operating system of el capitan and it seems that a lot of things that iPhoto are not available in the new application photos?  We cannot find anywhere to resize photos?  As in iPhoto, there was a large "e-mail address" button that would let you resize, then put photos directly in e-mail, but we can find a way to do it with the new application photos?  Anyone have advice on this topic?

Select the photo and click on the share (a vertical rectangle with an up arrow) button in the top row, select mail and send - you can select the size of the image in the new message window

    The Photos help file

    Use e-mail to share photos

You can use Mail to send photos directly from Photos. When you use E-mail to send pictures in e-mail, Photos sends the first account in your Mail preferences. If you have other e-mail accounts configured in Mail preferences, you can select which e-mail account to send email when you send it.

Tip: If you have a lot of files or files to send, you can use the mailbox to send. You must have an iCloud account to use the mailbox. You can use the mailbox to send attachments up to 5 GB in size directly from Mail on your Mac, or icloud.com/mail on your Mac or PC. All file types are supported and attachments do not count against your storage iCloud.

    Open pictures for me

    1. Select the photos you want to send. You can send photos from your photo library or an album, but not a slideshow or a project (for example, a book, card, or calendar).
    2. Click on the Share button in the toolbar and choose Mail.Mail opens a message with attached photos.
    3. Type the e-mail address of the recipient in the field, and then type a subject line in the subject field.
    4. Type a message if you want, and then click Send.

  • Resizing photos for hotmail

I have pictures on the desktop and want to send then via hotmail, but do not know how to resize

Depends on what you have installed on your PC program wise.

For example, to resize an image in Paint - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Resize-a-picture-using-Paint

Other photo editing software will have a feature similar, probably more powerful than the version of paintings.

  • How to resize images to a specific size of lot? (URGENT!)

I do not know how to batch resize photos using adobe bridge and then Tools > photoshop > image... processor and resize, but what I want to know is how to resize images to a size specific width and height of the lot without having to keep proportion.

For now, I have a bunch of photos that are 2896 x 1944 pixels, but I need to resize up to 1920 x 1080 for a sequence of stop motion. But photoshop wants to keep in proportion and resizes 1608 x 1080, which is not what I want but I don't want to make them one at a time. so please help

    THX

But photoshop wants to keep in proportion and resizes 1608 x 1080, which is not what I want but I don't want to make them one at a time. so please help

You can do this by registering your own action in Photoshop (in the action panel) and use the image size command while unchecking the option to constrain the proportions. Then, you can fill in the size in pixels and include a save as command to close a document and a new location. Then select files in Bridge and via tools / Photoshop /Batch perform this action.

However, if you do not change the proportions of your original photos will appear very tense because you change the proportions, I'm not sure that's what you want.

You could also record an action to trim the originals of this size, leaving the look of the original image, only less at low, high or both. In doing so, all files are cropped to the same location that you saved the harvest on the first file.

  • Resize photos for online use

I have tried all afternoon resize photos for use online and can not follow the instructions.  I know it must be simple, but I am confused.  I would like to talk to a real person, and I'm sure that my problem will be solved in less than five minutes.  Please don't tell me to follow guidelines. I tried.

    Kay Wilhelm

    Hi Kay,

For example, let's say we try to prepare this 1000 x 664 pixels, image 1 MB for display online.

If the site that you post gives you a larger, for example the image must be 600 pixels across, or less, then follow these 4 steps:

    1. go in file-> save for Web

    2. in the file for Web Panel, look for the boxes of the size of the Image.

    3. Enter the desired dimension.  For example, if the Web site that you try to download on requires that the images be 600 pixels across, type 600 in the width box.  The height must recalculate automatically.

    4. press the button "Save".  You now have an image stored in the pixel dimensions required!

If the need is for a maximum file size, rather than the size of a specific file, you would follow a different procedure.  If we tried to resize the same 1000 x 664 pixels, 1 MB image to a size of 100KB or less, we would do the following:

    1. go in file-> save for Web

    2. in the upper right corner of the Save for Web Panel, make sure that the format is set to JPEG.  Our original image was a PNG, which tends to have a larger file.  JPEG images tend to have a reduced file size.

    3. in the file for Web Panel, locate the planned size of the file as it is saved with the current settings.  It is in the lower left corner of the image.  In this case, it is 170KB, which is higher than our maximum size of 100 KB.

    3. the best way to control the size of file to a given pixel size is reducing the quality of the image.  Image quality controls are in the upper right of the Save for Web Panel.  Export JPEG default setting is 60%.

    4. you will need to determine how you want to reduce the image quality in your particular case.  In this example, we can reduce the quality of 60% to 40% without affecting the quality of the image too.  Setting the quality to 40% reduced the size of the image to 99 k, which is below our maximum of 100 KB.

    5. When you are satisfied with the quality settings, press Save to save your image.

    I hope this helps!

How to remove photos from my iphone6s after their importation?

    Hello KConstant,

I understand that you're looking to remove photos from your iPhone, after you import the to your Mac. It depends largely on how the images are imported into your Mac.

If you use iCloud photo library, remove photos from your iPhone, after they have synched to the Photos on your Mac afterwards would remove these photos on your Mac as well, like iCloud photo library is designed to synchronize your iPhone with iCloud and Mac.

However, if you are importing photos via the USB port of the Photos app, you should be prompted to delete pictures from your device once the import is complete:

Once the import is complete, a message asks if you want to delete or keep the photos on your device. Click on remove items to remove photos or click on keep items to keep them on the device.

You can also (it not allowed you iCloud photo library on your iPhone), you can use the image capture on your Mac app to delete images from your iPhone. This can also be useful to remove the last images that have already been imported into the Photos on your Mac. Once you have selected the images you want in the Image Capture, you can click on the prohibitive red symbol () to delete the selected items.

  • How to remove Photos from the iPhone/iPad/iCloud and no pictures

How to take a photo with my iPhone/iPad, allow it to synchronize with Photos on my Mac via iCoud, then delete from my iPhone/iPad/iCloud and removes any Photos on Mac? I want to save the photo on your computer and save space on small devices?

I keep seeing articles on the iCloud market turn but it seems the photos all return on the devices once restarted. I want to iCloud on use as a conduit to get the photos to my computer, not as a large storage space. I want the Photos app on my Mac where all the photos are filled and stored and choose those which is left each device.

Right now they are all in the pictures on the Mac, but I'm worried if I remove it from my iPhone/iPad that they will disappear from Photos on the Mac. I don't understand the new Photos app with all the missing features of iPhoto.

    Thank you!

You can not that's not how works iCloud photo library - it is not a conduit but a total synchronization service whose entire raison d'etre is to keep libraries connected identical - all changes made on any device (addition, deletion or modification) are made on all devices. For devices with limited memory, using optimized photos

If this isn't what you want then use another service - USB import, iTunes sync, MyPhotoStream for example each do different things and everyone can move photos from one device to another

And Photos lack a lot of features iPhoto form - in fact much more features than iPhoto including iCloud library there like a bigger and better editing capability and better external editing capability and so on
