How to restore a just closed tab.

In the version of xx 3. I could get into a couple of key shots to restore a tab that has just been closed. Now I can't even get help on this topic. I close a tab that I had used. Then a few seconds later, oops I wish I had not done this! Now how to re-open this tab? Thank you!

  • How to restore the new PIN tab older versions of firefox?

I recently updated my version of Firefox to V.33 and I really don't like the layout of the websites suggested or "pinned". The previous version, I used had only three "pins" to a row with three columns, giving me a total of 9 "pinned" sites This new update gives me many more options, but they are about a quarter of the size of those used in the previous version of Firefox, I had, makes it very difficult for someone (like me) who has poor eyesight to select good 'pine '. I love this browser but this severely affects the way I use it and I would just go back to things I'm used to.

If someone know everything on how to restore just this one feature I would be extremely grateful if you could share.

    Thank you.

It is on the page of the new tab (Ctrl + t)? These pages come from your story unless you pinned your own pages here.

33 Firefox now to spend up to 5 thumbnails. You can reduce the number of thumbnails per row back to 3 by modifying a parameter "behind the scenes", but I'm not sure it will help because the size of the thumbnail is also depends on the available height:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the preference browser.newtabpage.columns and change your change of 5 to 3, and then tap OK.

As an alternative, this helps the page zoom (hold the CTRL and press +)?

  • How to restore the button 'Close tab' at the END of the tab bar?

Until FF31, I used the following configured setting that installs the small 'X' button which tabs off the tabs themselves and on the far right of the bar closed tabs.

    browser.tabs.closeButtons; The user's game; Integer; 3

No, this no longer works. It is always placed close buttons in the buttons on the tab. Until I can understand how to solve this problem, I'll be move back to a previous version. I can't for the life of see me why this feature has been removed, other than the apparently arrogant insistence of Mozilla that he knows what the people want better than them.

    You can watch these extensions.

You can check the settings of the extension of the CTR through the Options/preferences button on the page "Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions.

  • How to re - activate the functions 'Restore previous Session', "Recently closed tabs" and "Recently closed Windows" in the menu of history?

For some time, four choices in the restore section (tabs of other devices, Previous Session Restore recently closed tabs and recently closed Windows) have been shaded. Keyboard shortcuts do not work, and didn't undo closed tab in the context menu of the tab.

I found and tried various patches to do this, including:

    • From Firefox in Mode safe without addons.
    • Firefox reset.
    • Change the values of browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo and browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo in all: config.
    • Check to see if I have a user.js in profile Firefox. (I don't).
    • Verify that the private browsing is not the default mode. (It is not).
    • Create a profile to see if it had the same problem. (He did.)
    • Running anti-malware analysis. (BitDefender and SpyBot).
    • Temporarily disable my anti-virus and anti-malware.

Any of these solve my problems.

Other devices tab is grayed out, but I've never used, and it might have previously grayed out.

The story works in general. Sites I visit are added to the log.

Preferences are saved correctly when I change them.

Any advice on how to solve the problem would be much appreciated, as I am very fond of these features and often served until they stopped working.

    ADDITIVE

After that looking through the list of preferences of change created by the resolution of the problems, I tried now also reset the following text:

    • browser.places.smartBookmarksVersion
    • browser.newtabpage.storageVersion
    • Browser.cache.Disk.Capacity
    • Browser.cache.Disk.smart_size.first_run
    • Browser.cache.Disk.smart_size.use_old_max
    • Browser.cache.Disk.smart_size_cached_value

    The problem persists.

I finally managed to understand this. In searching the Web, I found a thread detailing a similar problem on the Mozillazine forum. The problem has been identified as a missing browser.sessionstore.enabled set, so I went looking in Subject: config and couldn't find it. After creating the entry, by assigning the value true and restart Firefox, the functions of recovery/recently started working again. Apparently, some bookmark plugins and session-based can cause this problem, but in my case, it must have been something else, that I never had no such plug-ins installed.

If you have this problem, here's a detailed itinerary of the way I fixed it. Whereas there seems to be several problems that can cause restore/recently functions to stop working, it is not a guaranteed fix, but it is still a thing to try, at least.

    1. Open a new tab or window.
    2. Type of topic: config address in the box and press ENTER.
    3. Read reviews and promise to be careful.
    4. Copy this: browser.sessionstore.enabled - and paste in Subject: config'search box in s. press ENTER.
    5. If you copied the text at the top right, the setting should appear in the list. If it is not the case, you have the same problem, I did. (I would say that you copy/paste the text indicated and only this text before moving on to double check).
    6. If the parameter does not exist, right click on the parameters of the list and choose new-> Boolean. Paste the parameter name that you copied previously in the name box, click OK and then set the Boolean true. Once you have click OK, restart Firefox, and (hopefully) things should work properly again.

Thanks to everyone who offered help and thoughts!

  • How to restore the TILES feature to the new tab?

Totally new for Firefox. Has the function of front tiles. Now I just get a completely blank page. I updated a program called Web Companion, which has changed my homepage for some reason any. I think that was the cause. Now I can't get back tiles, or see an option in the settings to get it back.

"The part of the help page that says"How can I disable the new tab page' may have been useful for me to MARKET, but the blue gear icon "that they suggest I click which allows the ' Enhanced/Classic/white' option does NOT EXIST!

I even tried to reinstall Firefox to restore the default settings. Not good either.

    No idea what's going on.

Hi, please install the reset search addon - it should come back to the new tab page in firefox by default: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/

  • I can't use restore "previously closed tabs" option button in the history tab, it appears greyed out and unclickable.

It happened some time ago and he returned, I know there's a similar topic, but I want to know how to do this without having to reset firefox, I'm sure there is an option for this all: config, but I need to check first.

You can check the prefs of . browser.sessionstore * including browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash on the topic: config page and reset the browser.sessionstore prefs that are correct (in bold) user via the context menu in the default value to make sure that the Session Restore is enabled and functional.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and groups of tabs open and closed tabs (back) to get lost and you will have to re-create them (take note or bookmarks if possible).

I accidentally deleted the possibility of make mini 9-windows on my empty tabs when I open a. It's bookmarks that did go through all the days a little more practical, how to restore it?

Your list of details of the system indicates:

    • Browser.newtab.URL: subject: empty

If you have currently defined the new tab to a blank page.

You can reset the browser.newtab.url pref in about: newtab on the topic: config tiles page to get the page with the 9 (3 x 3).

You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • I deleted the history in the "Library/history" window, but the pages are still visible from the menu "history/restore closed tabs" item in Firefox 29, even if I restart.

In previous versions, when I deleted a page in the window (separated) from "Library of history", it was no longer visible from the history options. Now, I delete a record in the (separate) window "/ the history of the library" and always visible element of menu 'story/restore closed tabs '. It is essential for me, because I share the same book with my two colleagues. Thank you very much for your answers in advance.

There are much easier and more suitable methods.

  • How to quickly access my last tab (accidentally) closed in Firefox 29?

I often accidentally close a tab by mistake in Firefox 29. Today, what is the fastest way to do this? Ideally with fewer clicks than in Firefox 28. And no, turning on the menu bar to show all the time is not an acceptable answer.

The menu under the button NewMenu is customizable.

The historical option can be moved within this menu or added to one of your toolbars, so there is no reason to leave it buried if it is often necessary.

What I see as a drawback is that in the new bar of the story that is generated from this option the windows closed and closed tabs are potentially widely separated. (I have not checked, but if it's also customizable - I use a different menu bar)

  • Since the update to firefox 25 my 'undo closed tab', 'Restore recently closed tabs' and 'restore previous session' is grayed out, I tried to reset by default

I only had this problem since update to firefox 25. I tried to reset the deafaults ff. He did restore the "undo close tab" for a short period. but when I quit and restarted ff I have the same problem again. I don't want to have to keep resetting to the default settings, because it's too much time to then get back all my preferences.

I had this problem as well, I couldn't choose "Restore recently closed tabs" as historic because it is grayed out.

I went to Subject: config und from 0 (10 is the default value), browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo to 10 and I set browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo to 0 (including default 3) 3.

For me, this problem solved my problem und now I can restore recently closed tabs.
