How to restore my old password?

My computer crashed last week and I restored the old hard disk on a drive hard new without any problems so far. Well, when I went to restore the passwords file it doesn't let me. I hung out with firefox closed the key3db and the logins.json on my new hard drive and replace the existing files. When I opened firefox it is just empty. I had a main password set in place on my old browser, which im assuming is the cause not to work? I know that most of my passwords, but there are some out there that I really need restored, and I would like to solve this problem.

You also have a possible signons.sqlite file to the other computer and you can try?

You see that a master password is used in the password manager?

You can force Firefox to re-import the file signons.sqlite passwords (you need the corresponding signons3.txt file).

  • reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the topic: config page by default via the context menu
  • Delete the logins.json file in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder

When you restart Firefox, then you should have the pref signon.importedFromSqlite with the value set to true and you should have the passwords into password manager, unless he could have errors.

    Hi Johnny,.

    Thanks for choosing Windows and thank you for providing an opportunity to help you.

    According to the description, you have problems with the restoration of the old user profile.

    1 have been connected as a standard user?

    2. What are thousands of files you're talking about if you want to have access to the temporary folder?

    This problem can occur because of corruption of the user profile.

    Method 1: delete the new NTUSER. DAT folder and check if it helps.

    Method 2: Perform the System Restore to an earlier date and check if it helps.

  • How to restore my saved passwords?

    Just by mistake, I deleted all my saved passwords. In any case to restore. Using FireFox 34.0.5. Help, please

    If you still have the signons.sqlite which was used in a previous version of Firefox, then you can try to restore the password stored in this file.

    32 of Firefox and later versions store the passwords in the file logins.json in the profile folder and no longer use the file signons.sqlite that was used before (the corresponding signons3.txt file is always required).
    If you have the file signons.sqlite used in previous versions of Firefox, then you can try to force Firefox to migrate passwords stored in this file (you lose passwords saved in Firefox 32 + versions).
    You can force Firefox to re-import the passwords in the file signons.sqlite and regenerate the file logins.json with the following steps:

    • reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the topic: config page by default via the context menu
    • Delete the logins.json file in the closed Firefox with Firefox profile folder

    When you restart Firefox, then you should have the pref signon.importedFromSqlite with the value set to true and you should have the passwords into password manager, unless he could have errors.

    You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
    You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.

  • How to restore the old settings of default theme?

    Woke up this morning to find that firefox automatically updated their add-on from the default theme to version 22. Information on webpages (images, fonts, etc) are about 4 times the size that it used to be, but the police to bar menu is the same size. I can't find a way to get it back to how he has summer - because if won't let you get rid of it, and I can't use it like that - since I have to scroll just to spend in addition to the address bar in my email (and my resolution is the highest possible value). Any ideas for something similar to the old version? given that this font size makes it seem like I'm reading a book for children and is totally intolerable.

    Amendments of the code regarding the HiDPI support high-resolution displays have landed at Firefox 22 and later (bug #844604).

    You can change the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and increase or decrease the value of 0.1 or 0.05 as follows to adjust the size of fonts and other elements in Firefox.

    • The layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref is a string parsed in float value and allows you to adjust the dimensions of all elements (user interface and web pages) specifically (resolution 0.1 or 0.05).
    • Change the default value of-1 to 1 to make it work as in previous versions of Firefox (100%)

    Start with a value of 1 and adjust this value with 0.1 or 0.05 for finer settings.

    • Use values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the items (do NOT go all the way to 0.05!)
    • Use a value greater than 1.0 to grow and enlarge the elements (percentage divided by DPI, % / DPI).
    • http://KB.mozillazine.org/about:config

    If the web pages must be adjusted after changing this pref so you can watch the extension Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint.

    This extension allows to adjust the font size for the user interface:

    I inherited a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium on which someone has left the protected by password administrator account they created.  There is a notion of past protected standard user account that I can play with, but I don't have the ability to change the type of account, etc.  Can I get around this without spending money on software or technician?

    Your best bet is to perform a destructive factory restore. You do not know what is hidden on this machine (perhaps unknown to the former owner) and you might be in for a few surprises. Consult the manufacturer's web page for detailed instructions. This will also solve the problem of password.

  • How to restore the old window download in firefox browser worm 26?

    The old download window has helped me see my video through Downloader of video downloading side by side in the same time, thus allowing me to cancel it if found unfit after a few minutes. Even I could open the folder to view a few bites that have been downloaded.

    Well, I ended up installing FF ESR, and I found the old behavior.

    I backed up my current installation, and then just installed above my current ESR. (Make sure the folder installation points is the same as where FF is already installed) No problem at all - Favorites, settings, and modules were all still there. Piece of cake.

    I am currently on FF ESR 24.3

  • How to restore an old profile?

    I had a hard drive error and the warranty company that fixed my computer created a new generic user without security.  They have also allowed most of my hard drive and there is no restore point from.   I can't disconnect from this user, and it connects automatically when I turn on the computer.  Is it possible to get my profile back original or at least change it?

    Thank you.

    I could do this:

    (1) application of open PC settings, go to accounts

    (2) choose to create a new account and set up completely as you please (be sure to make an administrator-level user so that there be full access).

    (3) remove the generic profile, they did. You can wait a bit to remove it just to let you know that you have everything you need from him.

  • How to restore/duplicate old sauvegardΘ

    Hi all

    RMAN Version: 10.2.0.4
    Version of the repository: 10.2.0.4
    OPERATING SYSTEM: AIX 6.1
    Target databases: 10.2.0.4

    I updated the RMAN retention policy 10 days to say in database 'BCMT1 '. I have reproduced this database successfully to 'RTEST', but I have restored from a backup during the hiatus of recovery period.
    What happens if I want to duplicate/restore of backup that is older then is in 10 days and is marked & removed from the RMAN Repository but available on tape?

    Here's the script to detele the obsolete backup:
    run
    {
    crosscheck backup;
    DELETE NOPROMPT EXPIRED BACKUP;
    DELETE NOPROMPT OBSOLETE RECOVERY WINDOW OF 10 days;
    }
    Script to duplicate the database:
    run
    {
    allocate channel DSK1 type DISK;
    allocate auxiliary channel DSK2 type DISK;
    set until time  "to_date('09/24/10 17:00:00','MM/DD/YY hh24:mi:ss')";
    DUPLICATE TARGET DATABASE TO RTEST1;
    }
    Here are the configuration settings:
    RMAN configuration parameters are:
    CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY TO RECOVERY WINDOW OF 10 DAYS;
    CONFIGURE BACKUP OPTIMIZATION OFF; # default
    CONFIGURE DEFAULT DEVICE TYPE TO DISK; # default

    Catalog command to save older backups with RMAN Repository and then restore these backups?

    Hi again!

    You proceed as you would with a backup between 23 Oct 2010 October 2, 2010. But as a first step, you need to catalogue all the backups and the archivelogs for this procedure.

    1.) restore your backups and the archivelogs of band on the disc
    2.) catalog them.
    3.) duplicate your DB

    Best regards

  • My computer crashed and I restore my my hard drive recovered Thunderbird email, how do I restore my old emails (stored emails and accounts)?

    My computer crashed and I restore my my hard drive recovered Thunderbird email, how do I restore my old emails (stored emails and accounts)? Create a new profile and copy the one above him. See this article for instructions.
    http://KB.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_folder_-_Thunderbird#Create_a_new_profile_and_copy_the_old_one_over_it

    Your old profile is located under "roaming."
    For Thunderbird there is nothing that you need to restore from "local."

  • How to restore passwords signons3.txt? And how works signons.sqlite?

    I had to restore my operating system. I could get places.sqlite to restore the bookmarks (good!). I could find a signons3.txt (dated July 2013) this file will be not complete or up to date, but at least it puts me somewhere before.

    I have read that I need a signon3.txt file to go with the key3. I don't have one. I found a file dated September 2014 signons.sqlite. I moved these two files in my profiles folder, but I don't fit my old password.

    Is it possible for me to use the old key3? Do the key3 and sign must be dated the same thing? Is it possible to recreate the signons.txt?

    I have the password.

    Thanks for help.

    Signons3.txt file store the encryption key used to encrypt and decrypt passwords.
    Encrypted names and passwords are stored in the logins.json file.
    The file signons.sqlite is no longer used in current versions since Firefox 32.

    You must move the logins.json and key3db files in the current profile folder to retrieve passwords.
