    Luckies Hello,

You may be able to switch monitors by holding the fn key and tapping on the F4 key at the beginning.

The part that I don't know is if she will go outside without having first cut the broken screen.

Some computers laptops will and some used. If you need to disconnect the screen first, you may not use the combo fn.

Also to access Recovery Mode, you press the ESC key to get an options screen, and then press F11. But I think you would need to first try the combo fn.

  • How to restore the memory on my laptop?

My computer is showing that I have have3.80 GB of memory left out of 74 GB.  Aside from a few photos, itunes software and security, I do not understand why I have so little.  My son has in the past of games on it and to the best of my knowledge, I deleted when it has finished playing.  But can they be always stored in there?  where should I look to really memory?

This isn't memory. It's your hard disk space. They are two completely different things.

74 GB HDD is very low. Go to add/remove programs to see what can be uninstalled. As far as games are concerned, how do you remove them? Photos and Itunes can occupy a lot of space, depending on the amount of data you have in them. Only you can see your computer.

  • Restore settings from the generic pnp monitor on Dell laptop

While trying to do a second monitor to work with my Dell laptop, I changed somehow the settings on my laptop screen.  Looks like it has changed the appropriate parameters for the additional monitor.

I can't understand how to restore the original settings for the generic pnp monitor on my laptop. I don't know how to manipulate icons in the window' display settings '.»  When I move the '1' icon, I see just zeroes--not numbers.  At one point, the size of the modified icons - the '1' was smaller and larger '2'. Who is now reversed.

At this point, I want to just restore the settings of the laptop monitor the way in which they were and start on my original problem (which was Windows Media Player works with the second monitor).

If you disable the second monitor that the computer should return to the unique display. In the display settings, click on the second monitor if boxes before "this is my main monitor" and "Extend the desktop to this monitor" is checked, click to uncheck the boxes, then click on the apply"" button.

  • HP 15-ac098tu: how to share the screen of the laptop as a dual monitor?

    Hi guys,.

I was wondering if it is possible to share the screens of the two laptops that I, as a laptop as main screen and the screen on the other laptop as a second monitor? But everything wireless since don't have a cable VGA or HDMI cable with me at the moment. The two laptops are running on Windows 7 pro OS. One is 32-bit and the other a 64-bit. If possible could someone here tell me how to get there?

    VOID:

    (1) need to use monitors of the laptop at hand, Wireless.

    2) are two laptops running on Windows 7 OS.

    Thank you

OK, the only way to make it wireless is having a "Server and a client host" of course. Now I did not understand how sharing the screen, but basically what I wanted to do is use the same keyboard and mouse for two laptops. It's easier this way than to have to switch the keyboard and the mouse of the two laptops if you're working on laptops at the side.

    Solution:

    (1) install synergy in both computers laptops regardless of type of OS or version and set it up.

    (2) in this way I can use same keyboard and mouse for two laptops at the same time.

    (3) I don't have to worry about files and stuff stored in different computers laptop cuz its shared via Wi - Fi network. If I can access them in two laptop computers whenever I wanted. It's perfect.

I hope this helps those who were eager to do the same.

    See you soon!

  • My laptop suddenly change its horizontzl to the position vrtical on-screen display. How to restore normal position? Thank you.

My laptop suddenly change its horizontzl to the position vrtical on-screen display. How to restore normal position? Thank you.

    Try these in order:

1 you may have a hotkey enabled for this arrow of ctrl-alt-up/left/right , but this will only work if your updated display driver in place.

2 on the desktop, right-click graphics options, Rotation - it will be if your display driver has put there.

3 go to control panel display settings, display, change, settings advanced, {click the large tab that has the name of the author of top display driver}, Graphics Options {or similar term} - then dive around to find the controls - these are all arranged differently, so I can't offer that little will be in but the rotation controls will be there somewhere.

4 when you find the rotation controls, take a look for the keyboard shortcuts in the same area of the configuration of the display driver - if you ever need to rotate your screen, then you can normally disable keyboard shortcuts to avoid accidentally hitting as you try to do something else [which is probably causing your current problem].

  • How to use two external monitors with my laptop?

I have a new Pavilion dm4-301 d cl Entertainment PC.   My OS is Windows 7.   I'm used to using two external monitors with a docking station.   This new laptop lacks a docking station.  What should I do use two external monitors?

Certainly not without a dock, but even with laptop HP well enough docks limit you to one of the ports on the external monitor, even if there are two on the dock. We used a device called an Atlona AT-HDPIX2 which is a USB to hdmi adapter. It provides a feature of third monitor for a laptop... use the native external port of the screen and the computer screen internal, then this device gives a third control that is fully configurable to display Windows 7 interface... clone, extend, etc.. It allows a full HD resolution and is pretty responsive for games even light.  HP does not have any true docking station for your laptop.

  • Pavilion Beats special edition: is it possible to add two monitors to my laptop specific and if so, how?

Hello. I have a laptop 15-p058na with 1 x HDMI, 1 x USB 2 and 2 x USB 3. Ideally, I want to be able to add two screens to display separate sites or other applications, but I don't know if this model which will support or if I can just add a monitor.  I would be grateful for any advice. Graphics card is the AMD Radeon HD8510G graphics card if that helps. Thank you very much

Well there is only one monitor on the laptop, the HDMI port but we USB 3.0 to HDMI adapters that work quite well and will allow another monitor to add.

Of course, you need not to install a card in a laptop computer that it should support another monitor.

    ==================================

You may need to update your display and video driver

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.
