How to restore the hosts back to normal file

"I edited my file hosts with the notebook with the extension".txt ". However, I can't edit my file hosts its original file extension name, which has no name. To change my hosts file to open it with Notepad, the name of the file extension ".txt" has disappeared and I can't change my hosts back to normal file.

This means that my modified hosts file has no effect... How can I fix it?

Hello!

To open the hosts file:

In Notepad - menu file-> Open-> C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC

under type of "File Name." * to see all files; Select the host from the list.

To save a file in Notepad without notebook by adding the extension ".txt" filename you gave, type the name of the surrounded file "" under file-> save as.

Ex: "hosts".
