How to review the Photos Smarfolders my search criteria?

Hello.  I made several smartfolders in the Photos app, using demanding search criteria to group the images.  Now, I would like to add to these folders with newly imported equipment.  How can I see the search criteria, that I put initially for the smartfolders, please?  It would really help see what I did, so that I can adjust the keywords and descriptions of new elements to match the search criteria, I did for the smartfolders.

Thank you.

Control (right) - click on the smart album and select Edit Smart Album in the context menu.

    Hello Apple!

I searched for tutorials on how to hide the photos in my "Photos" application They say that, I will select a photo, then press on hold... then action will pop up with the options "Copy" and "hide".

To do this, do not show the "copy" and "Hide" options.

Why? Is there a function I need to activate?

  • does anyone know how to number the photos when they are exported so someone can choose the peak of number

Anyone know how to number the photos when they are exported from LR, so someone can choose the photo they like with a number

Sorry took with the last answer.

More simple form used something like-Sequence_Filename number suffix

If an image as _ABC0987.nef will become 0001_0987.nef and 0002_0988.nef, etc.

Ask your customer to give you the full file name. The suffix indicates the original file.

(I hope that you only need to search in a folder and do not have a bunch of images named the same that would cause problems!)

@cor-el: this would probably work if you want to restore the default value.

I have changed my encrypted google search engine on "subject: House" with these steps:

    1. download sqlite browser.
(I used this: website (sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net) / victory of direct download)

    2 extract the zip file

    3. run ' SQLite Database Browser 2.0 b1.

    4. open the "chromeappsstore.sqlite" file in your profile folder

    5. click the Browse data tab and double-click the value in the first row. (see screenshot below)

    6. Insert the desired value.

As you will see the values in the example below, you can use any search you want and you can insert a "_searchTerms_" instead of the term research.
    I have these values:

    • Standart (google):

    {'name': 'Google', "searchUrl" ': "_ http://www.google.com/search?q=_searchTerms & ie = utf - 8 & oe = utf-8 & aq = t & rls = org.mozilla: en - org.mozilla & client = firefox-a" "}

How to open the photos in adobe bridge in lightroom cc?

You import these images in LR. LR is not a file as Bridge Manager. You must first import pictures into LR for them is displayed.

Bridge displays all drives on your system, like Windows/Explorer in Windows or on Mac Finder. The only drives and folders that appear in the LR library module are those that you imported images.

IIRC, you can drag images from the window of bridge to the LR or in the LR window icon and which should open in LR import dialog window.

  • How to manage the photos Lightroom when using 2 computers, keeping any changes made on one or the other?

Based on http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/1308132?TSTART=0 I decided to add each question separately:

Hello, I am very interested in buying Lightroom 5.2. I tried the RC that was missing today. Yet, I have several questions that I can't find really good conclusive answers, I'd like to get an answer before buying LR. Please do not write maybe like this or that (assumptions), because I don't want to start my entire workflow and then realize that I have to change all around, please reply, if you know for sure that something works and you are, preferably, using this method too.

Is the big question, where I want to especially a conclusive answer:  How to manage the photos Lightroom when using 2 computers, keeping all the changes made on one of them, using the same photos for editing. I'm not going to use DNG. Details: I mainly use my old MacBook Pro, but I wish I could use my PC as it is much better (card: i5 2500K, 16 GB of RAM, SSD, USB3, nVidia GTX 560 TI etc.). I have 2 external HD that I could use, one for backup and one for the actual Photos/changes. I you will probably need to use as my internal HDs are fairly complete and I cannot be the kind of things simply delete or move to one (developer, without loss of music, programs etc.).

On this basis, how do I save all such Photos folder (pictures and retouching and preferably presets too)?

According to me, that it should be possible to work cross-platform without having to create a link to the files each time, or without having to keep export/import of the catalog, keeping the single catalog and the picture library on an external drive that is then switched between systems as needed.

Obvious first requirement is an external drive that is formatted in a way (for example, FAT32) that it can be used on both platforms in read/write mode. Given that, if the catalogue AND folder parent si le catalogue ET le dossier parent images are both set to the same level in a global parent folder, then it should be possible to take advatage of ability of Lightroom to use relative paths instead of absolute paths to detect the images, no matter if the player is named (Mac) or lettering (PC). This is how "export as catalog of ' works, that is, it creates a 'package', alias a parent folder, containing the catalog and a replica of the folder hierarchy to exported along with the catalog images. Take this 'package' to another system (same OS or not) and "it works" even if the drive letter is different or the operating system is different... because the relative path of the image catalogue is always the same.

I have not tested this cross-platform (if I have between various PC systems with letters of different readers) so for me it's still just a theory, but there may be others who have done this successfully.

  • How to see the photos in a range of dates?

    Hello, everyone.

I think that I made a mistake of switching to the Photos to iPhoto.

I want to do something simple. I want to only look at the pictures of 2015, so I can choose 12 to make a calendar. I searched help and online to find how to do this and I cannot figure out how. Can you do this?

In iPhoto, you click simply on "in the last 12 months.

Also, I have thousands of pictures over several years in my library, and when I scroll the Viewer is not pop up with the year that I look like iPhotos. How am I supposed to be able to say what year I watch as I am scrolling?

This seems to be several steps back in terms of functionality.

    Thank you!

    There are several ways:

    • Create a smart album with the rule "Date is in the range...". "or"occurs in the last 12 months.
    • Or use the view of years of the library: Wile look 'Photos' notice click on the arrows to the right of the buttons on traffic lights to intensify between the Collections and the years.  The years will show you the pictures grouped by years:
  • Hundreds of unwanted on desktop - how to enter the photo gallery easily images?

Hello! I'm new. I'm just wondering how to get hundreds of images sitting at my desk back in permanently Windows Photo Gallery without copying all the other things on my desk and leaving my desk clear of them. Simple, but difficult question for me!

Thanks a lot for your time!

To make it easy select all the photos, deselect all ordinary desktop shortcuts you want to stay on the desktop, you will need to see if a setting is correct.

Click the Start button, click on the (pictures) list on the top left corner is (organize), click it, click (folder and search options), now on the top of the page, click on the registration tab (view).

Scroll down and click on the box that says (use check boxes to select items), and then click on apply and OK.

Now, in the same window of photos, look at the top (new folder) must be in the list, click it and name it everything that you want these pictures in, click any white space to save this file and a new name.

Pull a few inches on the side of your screen so you can see your desktop and minimize this screen.

Now, click on a photo file and then hold the (ctrl) key and hit the A, this will select every thing on your desktop.

This is where the boxes come into play, click on the small boxes to deselect the shortcuts you want to leave.

Once you have unchecked them, open the small window,

Left click and hold and drag your Cruiser into the new folder you made earlier and release when a pop up according to move to the new name of folders.

Pull on the wall to cover your desktop, and then close the window,

  • How to select the photos I want to import in the import Windows 7 Wizard, and how to change their name to a group of the name custom when importing?

Has features missing from Windows XP in Windows 7?

I'm doing a simple import of photos using the option 'Import pictures and videos using Windows' native Autoplay.

In Windows XP, I could choose what images to import and give them all the basic name custom during the import process, with each photo added later with a "001", "002" etc using the scanner and Camera Wizard.  It is very convenient because it could have been hundreds of photos on some of my cards from a long period of shots, I could run the tool more than once for different groups of photos that I would choose Import, and the pictures would be get named sequentially and stored in their files you want immediately.  I imported thousands of photos in this way.

This new tool for Windows 7 allows me to add tags to all of the photos on the cards and devices and name photos after their date, or on the label, or other combinations of that... but why doesn't this new tool in Windows 7 suppose I want to import every single photo on the card device / I just connect and more that I want them all to have the same tag assigned to them?  It's stupid and useless - there, makes only has pictures of a theme on their card at any time that they connect to import their photos and always wants to import everything each time?

To illustrate this point, let's look at my current situation.  I'm just on vacation in Europe and took pictures to more than one place, I visited, of course and now I would like to mark photos with the location of the names individually... or even more, I would like to actually name photos when importing with the name of the place in the picture.  Scanner and digital camera Assistant & would do that, no problem - you just had to run the tool once for each different group name, then select the appropriate images to import with the same group name.  It has been easy.  This type of naming is far superior to the addition of tags to images named simple-list or date-wise because you can tell what the image file in your library that you want to open just by going to (or get) the group name.  Want to see pictures of St. Peter's Basilica?  If you named the photos with that (added with 001, 002 etc), then simply browse to that name in your folder of photos «The Italy, holiday 2010»  Without trying to find photos Tags into the sea by the name of "IMG20100324005" - soup and no program Photo Gallery Windows Live Photos or necessary Picasa.

This new program in Windows 7 for the import of images does not appear to be able to handle the very handy feature of its predecessor Windows XP.  It's very frustrating to have opted for the version of Windows newer and supposed to be 'better' but find several programs that have been very useful for XP have valuable features removed or are no longer present at all (like how Windows 7 is no longer a Clipboard Viewer - that has great idea that is?).

So is it possible to recover the image import feature I apparently lost by 'redevelopment' of Windows Windows 7?  I could of course go and buy an image import and edition program (Smart Photo Import very nice for the price, a quick search I just do), but as this feature was native in Windows XP it is still stupid to have to buy a 3rd party simply program now because Microsoft does not understand the idea of keeping popular features in their software and seems rather "he dumb down.

Any help to select the pictures I want to import and naming them when importing with a custom group name using the import wizard would be greatly appreciated... + 10 GB of photos and videos of this trip is sitting & waiting for a solution!
